Maybe they are just testing your ability to have a deeper level of conversation by having a specific interest?

>Listening to music makes you a loser God this is retarded.

Im a metalhead but enjoy other kinds od music as well. People who're stuck to one genre are fucking stupid. It's like getting offered 38848 types of food and you only pick one. And I consider myself to be some what functional. I dont do drugs, I do my school shit, hang out with somewhat normal (non-metalheads) people, have other interests and folks around me seem to enjoy my company. But I do somewhat agree. There are some teens and adults who're metal fans and look like complete wrecks. But I think that could be 'applied' to any genre. Rappers dont look so good either, house fans should all be junkies and cocaine addicts, pop listeners are all basic bitches. My opinion
Generally I would say yes. You can tell a lot about people from their music tastes. People that listen to anime music soundtracks, for example, tend to be highly autistic.

Everyone loves 80s pop though. mainstream music was never better at any other point

>are metal heads and people with weird ass tastes in music like 50s music or 80s pop music or something the biggest failures in society? depends if you're involved in the local music scene and/or can play an instrument. if you're neither of those (like myself) then yes you probably are. pretty sure he means the correlation between 'loser' and 'music', nothing causal. who really cares though since i stopped caring about other people's standards a long time ago.

>fashion sense, favorite video game, favorite movie, and favorite sport tell a lot about people >but not music, nope, that is ultimately meaningless
Lmao gtfo autist. Name me one leader of the industry that listens to autistic weeb music or obscure 50s shit
I dont know man, I play guitar mostly but I can get around and n any other rock band instrument. I listen to 80s alternative, hardcore punk, jazz, 60s psychedelic music, and a couple contemporary alternative bands. I am a huge loser. I have like two friends and im a neet.
I think part of the reason some people go back and listen to older music is because they have to seek approval of people outside of their peers. I listened to a bunch of dad rock bands in middleschool so my dad would like me, in high school I got into alternative stuff because I liked it but I also think it has something to do with some sort of nietzchean complex. Like I pick this other music that is maybe considered bad by the majority and I call the popular stuff garbage. I tell myself my music is a refined taste but it is probably just a personality cope. I say that well maybe I cant fit into society, but that enables me to appreciate this music I would be harassed for and so I can have a better taste. A lot of Jow Forums is built around this. The idea that Normies have shit taste but its a cope. They are just allowed to like it because it reflects their personality. We arent because we would be imposters.
