Not Asian but I used to try to dress nice. Never bought any truly expensive designer stuff, but I did put a lot of effort into it. It's actually fun to play dress up, but at a certain point you realize there's no point. If you're attractive you can pull of anything but if you're ugly than everything looks try hard. I stopped giving a shit how I dress when girls were giving Chad compliments on his "fit" while he was wearing adidas sweatpants and a hoodie.
