I roll in an old Mercedes, super comfy and surprisingly reliable.
/car9k/ thread - what do you robots drive?
Picked up one of these just before starting my big new job a couple months ago. It's pretty nice
I ride a bus because I'm a poorfag and live in a third world country.
I love it. It's the true r9k car.
2004 Holden Statesman, big RWD Australian landbarge with a V8 and extremely comfortable ride
definitely would never trade in my trusty bmw
Ram Cummins diesel. I work pipeline so I have to have a 4x4. Spend.more time off road then on plus I need something strong enough to haul my 40ft fifth wheel across the country
One of my cars is you car's older brother. Pre-1991 Mercedes was the best of the best. They were unkillable tanks.
>Literally the worst Ford ever made
>The true Jow Forums car
Checks out.
fully hektik mate.
2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Grand Touring
Got it for an absolute steal
Also I am ameriburger but it's still manual :)
Quite a fun car to drive around with but the clutch feels pretty hard to smoothly release at least compared to the turbo miata that i used to own
I don't have a car but when I get a car I want a German 90s diesel
2013 Corolla, fucking love this thing.
>cheap
>uses fuck all petrol
>cheap to insure
>hatch so has a fair amount of room w/ back seats down
>apparently very safe
>all and easy to park
I had VZ SS Sedan before this, it sounded nice and was powerful + comfy but way too expensive.
I was looking at a w116 diesel recently. Great look but parts are kind of hard to find. Currently rolling in a 1980 w123 diesel just like pic related. Cost me $1500 and gets compliments practically every day
W123 is a solid Merc man. What's the interior like though? I've always liked Mercedes exteriors but the interiors were always so utilitarian and old man-ish.
Congrats. There's something about old mercs, I don't even know...
I never liked the new ones, though (2000 onwards).
22 neet here
dont have a car
dont have a license
For me it's because of the drooping egg headlight style for the early 2000s models.
You niggers have too much money to be robots, you're not fucking robots
Got my license recently, and now am going to buy my first car. I'm almost on my way to becoming Goose.
>1980s mercedes
>90s ford taurus
>"you fags have too much money"
the fuck do you drive then? a scooter?
I don't drive, because I'm not some bourgeoisie motherfucker who can afford cars and insurance and shit.
German cars bring up a sense of disgust in me
Robots aren't hobos.
>got for an absolute steal
i guess you just ignored that then lmfao
I drive an old Jaguar. Is that a 420 SEL?
>unkillable tanks.
Until they start rusting out.
Nissan micra k11
Very small from outside, but has enough of space inside
Also hella cheap, doesn't use much gas either
Lovely car, mines also very bright blue, so it's easy to find it in parking lots
All cars from that era that rolled in roadsalt-prone countries rusted away, I can't think of a single model that survived very well in general. Feel free to correct me.
>tfw fell for the 3k civic meme
How did it fuck you?
>Can buy Toyoto a(mem)e86 as my first car.
This seems like a really good or really bad idea.
Buck Regal Custom 1994. Red. Red interior, too.
Thing wouldn't start for the longest time. Turns out I had drained the battery by leaving the glove compartment open. Did some juice fix it? Nope. Plus the charger we've got is pretty wonky to begin with, so I didn't even know if it was charging.
Anyway, we bought a new battery and swapped it out. STILL wouldn't start consistently. Took out the fucking radio antenna thinking maybe that was draining the power. Nope. Charged the battery even though it was brand-new.
Then I thought maybe it was the alternator, and that if I could start it and take the ground out I'd find out. Nope, alternator's fine.
You know what it was? After all that shit?
It was the shit the dude at autozone gave us to prevent the metal on the battery from corroding. I shit you not. Turns out that shit doesn't conduct electricity, which left me wondering why the fuck he told me to use it on the battery's fixtures. Anyway, blasted that shit with carb cleaner and scraped off the sealant, and BAM, it starts just fine.
Why the FUCK would you make something like that if it isn't even conductive?
It's no meme, friend. You did well.
t. 3k civic si driver
Once I graduate and save money for a year I want to buy a 300ZX twin turbo
Thirdhand 08 Hyundai Accent. The paint is quickly peeling away, the undercarriage is rusted to shit, it squeals something fierce when turning or braking, and the engine clicks when it's running.
I plan on getting either a Ford Taurus or a Buick LaCrosse. Either 2019 or within the last 2 years. Lease rates are doable even with my shitty part time job, and chances are my mother will help me with cash down and getting approved for financing.
Check for rust
tbqh just a miata
get something you can afford, retardfaggot
user, it's $400 a month for either car. I can afford that. Paying my mother back the $1500 down is two months pay. It's not unrealistic.
My mistake. The Taurus would be $1500 down. The Buick would be $3000 down, unless I found a better dealer. Same monthly payment though, and $3000 down still isn't too bad.
Well if you think your part time job is stable enough and your fine giving a big part of your wage for a long time
Do you really need a car though?
I live in the middle of nowhere with no real public transport to speak of. A car is a necessity unless I move elsewhere, but that's not realistic at the moment. I am confident that I can hold this job for a good while, and there is potential for more hours if I take on more work (which I plan on doing when there's an opening). I am also looking into a second job, or a replacement for this one. One of the only reasons I took this one is because I had such a glaring employment gap that no one would hire me.
Looks cool on the outside but I'm pretty sure it's full of vanilla latte stains on the inside.
I sentence you to life in prison for the murder on mother nature!
A completely dented Hyundai I20 I inherited from my grandfather.
where my hairdresser bros at?
1989 crx
>very minor rust even in rust belt
>super light
>small and cozy
>b series engine swap
>3k
It's a blast
>save up and buy 90s honda civic
>feels good to be able to drive wherever i want
>argument with dad, he kicks me out
>now living in honda civic in a starbucks parking lot
the honda civic was a mistake
