I was just informed that because I was suicidal and was taken to a crisis center, it would be on my background check!
That is insane. The same law in my state covers people who threaten to hurt others in the same category as those who threaten to hurt themselves. So if I apply to a job and they see this, theyre gonna assume I threatened to school up a school or something.
That's fucked up. This world has no sympathy for people with poor mental health. I hope you're okay, user

wtf is that swan doing?

He's just into vore

>The same law in my state covers people who threaten to hurt others in the same category as those who threaten to hurt themselves.
which state?
Samuel Price
They might go onto your background check the same way, but the implications of it showing up on the background check are likely to be different.

>The same law in my state covers people who threaten to hurt others in the same category as those who threaten to hurt themselves I think that's probably bullshit but there are all sorts of concerns with letting yourself be committed for suicidal shit. Either do it or don't, never seek medical help for it they can and will take your rights away.
Joshua Gray
...have you never been to a dentist?
Matthew Rogers
They treated me like a criminal. I told them they were holding me without a charge in a police car, with only mom as evidence that I had said anything and they just said okay buddy.
When the cuffs go on the police officers get a power trip. They were saying up and down that they cared but they treated me like a common criminal when I hadnt broken any laws.
Jacob Gray
Instead of blaming the cops why not blame yourself. They are just doing their jobs.
Jayden Green
>tfw your health insurance doesn't cover swan inspections
Their job? Don't make me laugh. They didn't listen to my side of the story at all.
The second they stepped foot in my house I was leaving in a pair of cuffs, even though I was completely calm.
They tried to tell me I was lying about sleeping when they arrived and that I turned off my bedroom light to make it seem that way.
Aiden Mitchell
Dumbass it goes on your medical record not your criminal one. Yes it's impossible to get a job but it's not because the books say you're a criminal it's because they say you're suicidal.
Leo Watson
Yeah yeah ok buddy . I understand you are just fishing sympathy but there's no need to lie on the internet.
Caleb Powell
Are you really open? My passport looks like this, how do I come to you?
its happened to me too. someone with a stick up their ass called the police and lied saying I was going to kill myself, and give them my dox. they showed up, hauled me away, and stuck me with several thousands of dollars of """"medical"""" bills. it didn't matter what my side of the story was
Andrew Sanchez
Holy shit, OP is an idiot apparently, according to this autist who doesn't even disagree with OP's point, really. This really is the place for the next breed of males.
Mason Foster
This happened to me, in 2010 and the only advice I can tell you is to present yourself with decency and professionalism in job interviews. The record will not present itself unless your employer finds it to be a mandatory step in interview processes. Though many do check, you still have a right to apply so just don't panic. It's up to you now, not you in the past- so to speak
Gavin Turner
Next time don't make so many enemies of people.
Jeremiah Myers
I don't, they're just fucking psychotic
Asher Nguyen
Oh shit where do you live?
William Johnson
I find it absurd that the answer for suicide prevention is to make people's lives shittier so they're more prone to killing themselves. If I'm going to kill myself, I'm sure as hell making sure I don't get resuscitated before the deed is done.
Austin Sanders
lol why do you want to know?
Austin Green
Really? Not them, but can't you see the point of their question?
Carter Anderson
>Come home. We're always open. Not OP, but I wish I could
Mason Hernandez
I suppose you are right. minnesota
Ryan Rogers
The important question is, what can you do?
Gavin Bell
Isn't the Midwest hella conservative? I imagine people would ostracize anyone queer or liberal or different, but that's just me.
Tyler Roberts
I can right code in C#.
Aaron Miller
>Isn't the Midwest hella conservative? it depends on the area, but yeah quite a lot of them >I imagine people would ostracize anyone queer or liberal or different, but that's just me. that has been a pretty major theme in my life
Noah Diaz
There's no shame in what you are feeling, user. The world is a cold place, but we always find warmth in one another.
Take good care of yourself, man. And for jobs, the odds will always out of our favor regardless. Maybe find a group that can empathize with your plight. And maybe find a place that specializes in helping specific youth like yourself. I mean, I got my job by walking into a government career center and signing up for an employment program, despite my own previous dilemma.
I can attest to that. There are large cities in the Midwest that are like enclaves for LGBT people. But outside these cities, they are almost seen as second-class citizens. And the more deadset the town is in their ways, the worse it gets.

Well of course, you're threatening to damage state property, no wonder you're going to be contained
Jayden Anderson
>abuse = "doing their job" You want me to show you -that- picture again?
Kevin Baker
What picture is that?
Chase Murphy
Where are you from, user? I've had 3 mental hospitalizations in my adult life and I have two (good by the way) jobs, it's never shown up in the copies of background check copies I requested. As far as I can tell the only problem I might have is buying a firearm LEGALLY, but I'm from the US so that isn't actually a problem.
