I wasn't able to do a push up but I did three sets of 3 modified push-ups. In two days time I'm going to try three sets of 4 modified push-ups.
C25K is a little too advanced for me but I found a great pre-c25k program where I run for 30 seconds, walk for 60 seconds and repeat for 20 minutes. I felt amazing after my workout.
I think I'm gonna make it.
Still I find it so intimidating posting here. Everyone is so strong and fit.
Absolutely based user, I remember when I first started. The most important thing about lifting is discipline, food, and sleep. Don't feel intimidated about the site, 90% of people here dont lift and/or are just LARPing. Keep at it!
Good for you, bud. Just remember that the resolutioners are the people who are most likely to quit but, if you build a pattern and can hold it for three weeks, your body will naturally make the workout a thing you look forward to.
Anyway, the first thing I'd tell you is to actually quantify your (realistic) goals. If you're just doing light cardio for it's own sake that's fine, but if you're looking to transform your body or have performance goals, you have to write them down and work for them.
The reason that I say this is you have to set goals before you start working is because different goals require different. plans.
Also, this 100%
>Still I find it so intimidating posting here. Everyone is so strong and fit.
Also, as one of the "strong and fit" people posting here, don't worry about it. The biggest guys at the gym are usually the nicest fucking people you'll ever meet, and it personally always motivates me when I see an overweight person at the gym working hard to make changes.
Why start when you know you're gonna give up in a week anyway? baka thots always be looking for attention

I take this about as seriously as girls in the first semester of a STEM degree

can we please not ruin this girl's thread?
we should be trying to help this new fit poster achieve her goals. she's doing modified pushups and cardio; can't we give her a decent path into barbell training?
that's what i really want to see in this thread. please let's get this girl under a barbell, for her sake and for the sake of future generations.
>Everyone is so strong and fit. AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Cringe post but the message is good

You just want a foothold to spread female domination. I'm not getting castrated by a pack of lesbians so you can feel welcome.
John Scott
>Still I find it so intimidating posting here Listen here little baby. You're gonna get a lot of hurtful and degrading comments, but that ain't what I'm about. Let me just say, you are perfect the way you are. You hear me sugar? PERFECT. Don't ever change. You deserve anything and everything you want. Stay safe for me, baby girl. >mfw thinking of you hurting
So you don't want me to run around throwing Roman salutes and brap posting? I thought that's what women want? Isn't that why we do that?
Camden Murphy

How can anyone ruin something that was never good to begin with. If you're looking for sympathy you'll find it in the dictionary somewhere between shit and syphilis.

Listen little baby,
You're gonna get a lot of degrading and hurtful comments in this thread, but that ain't what I about.
Let me just say you are perfect the way you are you hear me sugar? PERFECT don't ever change, you deserve everything and anything you want.
Reading that made me mad. They want to believe so hard that being skinny/fit/muscular doesn't require anymore just to convince themselves it's not possible for them because "muh genetics" that anyone who works to obtain a nice body is just lucky.
Isaac Baker
This 100%. I'm glad to see the board is not totally overrun by retards.
