The squat is pretty much the same from parallel below, you only add some strain on the knees if you go too deep, and that's only useful for catchimg weight in the oly lifts ( as in clean&jerk and snatch)

I don't know, it's not no back muscles (I row over 50kg, beginner number yeah but it's not like there's nothing there). When I started squatting I just assumed high is where the bar went, now I'm on 100 and struggling and I read that you can do more weight with low-bar but it feels completely unnatural and like my wrists are supporting all the weight.

Also the bar is at mid-chest level when I set it up.

My form isn't great, I just deloaded so I can improve it, but I don't think it's that bad, it's just that I started with highbar as it felt the most natural (tbqh I didn't know there was two ways) when I think now I should have started with lowbar. Olympic weightlifters stop training back squat for the most part after a certain point because it has less carryover than front squats.
You will rarely see oly lifters back squatting much more than 300kg because there's really no point.
