If you compare the average white American to the average European of the same ethnic group (mostly Brits/Irish/Germans) the average height is about the same. Lol, didn't realize Iceland was that sparsely populated. Look at the UK, then. 395 people per sq. km, compared 65 for Mexico, and Brits are much taller than Mexicans. Or compare the US to the Netherlands, the US has a pretty low population density, the Netherlands has an extremely high one, and the Dutch are much taller than us and pretty much everyone else for that matter.
