Got fairly bad rosacea lads anyone know how to cure it?
Old woman came up to me today and told me to take off my jumper cause I was "overheating"
Tempted to get a cosmetic tattoo just to stop looking like a constipated tomato. But want to give other remedies a try first

Get on very low dosage (like 3x or 2x 10mg per week) accutane for life, you can even stop it for a while just to check if it's fixed and return to it if it's not. There's been a ton of research on very low accutane lately and it's basically as safe as it gets, personally I've been using it for 2 years for oily skin/scalp with absolutely no sides other than dry lips for the first two months, it really has been a miracle drug and I think anything else is just a waste of time.

I used a product called soolantra and it cleared up my rosacea in about 1-2 weeks.
It will get worse initially as the demodex mites in your skin die off but after that your skin will be free of them.
Depending on where you live you may need a drs prescription to get a tube of soolantra.
Worked for me after trying everything else.

Have you tried straight up elimination diets? I know it sucks but just eat like chicken breast for a couple of months just rule out food related reactions. This is for all skin diseases by the way.

Liste OP, I have the same issue.
Like this lad is telling,...you can avoid paying a lot by the use of a proper diet.
Of curse, it depends how bad your rosacea is.
I have Primary features like mild erythema, some pustules and grade 1 nasal telangiectasia and my life perhaps is shit but I try to avoid:
*dark coffee
*spicy food
*alcohol beverages
*very hot food/beverages
*whatever cooked in the frypan with lots of oil
*dry/wet sauna

Like diabetes patients, from time to time I tend to fuck up things (a beer, some whisky, some greasy burger with fries, etc...) so it's complicated. Specially this time of the year.
You can get prescriptions and medicine (as well some shampoo for seborrhea) and they will help a lot, but a good diet is KEY.

I've already got eczema as well so I stay away from irritating shampoos and soaps

Hadn't considered diet
I don't drink but i know that either sugary/fatty foods make it worse, stress is the killer for me though and I'm not sure if its the hormonal change bringing on the blush or me eating junk as a way of coping with exams/personal drama and the food making me red

I don't drink and tried the carnivore for November with no real improvement (although eating meat was for gains rather than skincare)

I'm tempted to try water fast for the first week of New Years so if it is diet based that should tell me

30g of MSM along with 3g vitamin C a day. There will be a temporary bloat lasting a few weeks and other side effects, some positive, such as improved breathing, skin, faster hair growth, and vivid dreams. Drink 2 gallons of water a day because it can dehydrate you.

Aply ice on the spot and press it as long as you hold it. It will look worse in the first hours, vut it will get better
Do this once everyday
Also: try cetoconazol cream

Both of this would be ideal

Heh

I have rosacea as well. The causes of rosacea are not entirely understood, it can be brought on by a combination of bacteria, mites or red blood vessel issues.

Unfortunately in most cases you cant cure it, so you have it for life. It will get progressively worse as you age as it gets antagonized by factors like spicy foods, sun exposure, getting hot, sweating, not washing your face correctly ect.depending on what is causing your redness.

I went to a GP and iv started a treatment to minimize its exposure and its been pretty effective. You can still see the redness in my face if I point it out, but most people wont notice it.

The treatment is to use cetaphil soap in the shower to wash your face rarely, only once every two days or less, depending on how dry your skin is. Then to use cetaphil moisturizer after the shower so your face doesn't dry out. But the really effective thing for me has been Duac gel. I have to reapply it every single night before I go to sleep to keep it under control but im fine with that so far. You will need a prescription for the Duac gel but it isnt expensive.

I realized my rosacea gets worse when I dont wash my hair for more than 2 days
If I wash it every other day, it will go away
Does this happens with anyone here?

My dermatologist treats mine with blood pressure medication and it works. I’m on a prescription called clonidine. It has reduced the redness dramatically.

Looks like a lewd hentai girl blushing.
Pretty hot.

Ba-bakaa!!

IPL treatment. Quite cheap and helps. Also makeup if you have somewhere important to go.

>t.Long term Ocular rosacea sufferer

>tempted to try water fast
Me again, OP. Unless fasting is for losing weight, ok with that but won't do a lot on the rosacea thing.
Yeah, it's great for detox but, again, you need to watch for a proper diet and avoid acidic, hot, greasy food.
Try drinking 2 litres as a minimun per day tho.
