Do I continue by Compooter science degree @ uni or do nursing instead

My uni is the top in British Columbia (leafcuck btw) and has connections to microsoft and amazon and some people in years above me have interned @ various big tech companies. However, I've read that CS is oversaturated now and that pajeets are taking all the jobs. So should I drop out of uni and go to a college for nursing instead and reliably make decent money or stick it out with computer science and hopefully earn 200k/year @ a big tech or investing company?

>To keep this fitness/health related:
Do you guys up the carbs or the fats when bulking?
>also do you follow the rule: 1 gram of protein/lb of BW, 0.5g of fat/lb of BW and the rest of the calories from carbs?

1g/lb is bro science

And yes, go to nursing school

can u elaborate on why nursing > CS in my case?

Idk about canada, but CS degrees from uni in US are super basic, 4 years to learn languages etc. with no specialty. Need industry certs if you want jobs, and those are extra. Also, like you said, outsourcing will always be a problem. Nursing cant be.
Its more why you shouldn't do CS than why you should do nursing

I see, i see. What I've seen from my uni's CS is that they don't actually teach you any languages used by the industry, just all theory stuff. Idk if that's more beneficial or not

>competing with jobs with pajeets
Pajeets get jobs at shitstain corporations where IT is seen as a cost center

These salaries are inflated for Bay Area cost of living

sage for not fitness related

you really wanna clean up poop and pee and sharts and blood and vomit instead of sit in a comfy computer chair? bro...

Most of the top tier CS programs are like this (Stanford, MIT, CMU). Learning “industry” frameworks is how you end up like a Pajeet writing angularjs. If you learn the theoretical concepts (for example distributed systems or databases) you can fast track yourself to SWE II or III and make the big bucks. I guarantee you that any employer worth dick doesn’t give a fuck that you can program a website in Django and React.

If you want to learn industry frameworks go to appacademy like the other pajeets.

Nursing is also full of pajeets.

Stick with comp sci read the book deep work he goes into more detail. Working with technology is the way forward.

On your stupid fitness question, don't bulk unless your advanced on lifts and they won't go up.

If OP is thinking of going into a profession where your literally washing old people all day, then I'm not sure he could grasp the theoretical concepts.

On second thoughts, OP go into nursing. Lets face it you have to be sort of a failure to be even posting on fit on a friday instead of out with friends.

what about a lean bulk like just a 250kcal surplus. That'd give me about 0.5 lbs per week of weight gain

>If OP is thinking of going into a profession where your literally washing old people

I mentioned nursing because my sister chose to drop out of the uni I currently go to and pursue nursing at a college. She currently makes around 60-63k per year and she's 23. She got a job right when she finished.

You clearly have no idea what a nurse does or their responsibilites.

To add on to this, nursing seems breddy good pay and job security wise and she only works 3-4 days per week. Meanwhile I see lots of IT and software people getting fired or cucked from their jobs.by pajeets.

This is OP again. I might be a social failure but I'm not an academic failure. At least not yet.

Then, why the fuck are you worried about Pajeets. Its like worrying about Mexican immigrants taking your job, if you need to worry about that then your problem isn't Mexican immigrants.

60k per year is poverty wage.

Job security isn't really a problem if you have a comp sci degree and do a decent intern or can pass amazon or google job interview.

60k is above average for a canadian family and she makes that @ 23 by herself

Switched from comp sci to paramedic here. Currently on the path to flight medic then possibly rn or med school depending on how well I do on chem and physics. Fuck load more interesting than programming so far.

Up everything when bulking.

nice. I heard it's a hard job

It is. Doing the ghetto medic thing pays dogshit for what my abilities are. Which is why I'm looking forward. I will say doing SS helped me put on pounds and made moving patient's a hell of a lot easier.

>cant focus on boring tasks

never going to make it

Went zero to hero then critical care medic in 2 years flat. Beating out medics that have been in the game for a decade or more. Suck my dick.

You sound like a massive fag

IF YOU'RE A MALE, NURSING WILL GUARANTEE YOU A HIGH 5 DIGIT SALARY WITH SWEET OPTIONS, BUT YOU WILL BE TRAPPED IN A SHITTY PHARMACEUTICAL CONTROLLED JOB, SYSTEMATICALLY KILLING PEOPLE.

YOU'RE WELCOME FOR MY SERVICE

Just graduated with a CS degree and had one internship and one personal project. I've gotten two job offers so far and probably about to get a third. Every single person I graduated with already have jobs making good money. I get constant messages on LinkedIn asking to talk to me about hiring. If you put in the work and teach yourself popular industry skills in your free time you'll be fine. You don't have to work for Amazon or Microsoft. There are tons of smaller companies that need people all the time.

UBC?

Senpai I'm making 80k straight of out a no name College in Gatineau. Did even ever hear about the city of Gatineau?

Anyways the point is that people don't know how to program. If you can, people will throw money in your face. Job security became a guarantee in my mind when I saw people struggling with the idea of variable re-assignment.

If you're decent in the hands-on stuff, you will do fine. Interning at Google, Msft or Amazon is a guarantee that you are.

I used to do CS, my best friend used to do nursing. We both quit because these are shitty jobs. I dunnow maybe it's different in Canada.

Without being cheesy, don't do either job unless you really have a passion for it.

Bare in mind that working with mostly women sounds great, but in reality is worse than hell.
