Anyone got rid of seborheic dermatitis. Its ruining my life. Trying diet now as a last resort even wonder if its gut related.

jokes on me. my seb derm mostly went away with age but was replaced with rosacea, so now I actually look the worst I ever have. probably for the best however. it's a sign I should never pass my genes
My skin problems started clearing up when I lost weight and started taking regular probiotics
Get the head and shoulders made specifically for seborheic dematitis (its orange btw) and just use a weeb bit on ur cheeks if u got it there
Do not use topical corticosteroids for long, it will permanently scar your skin, ESPECIALLY your face.
For seborrheic dermatitis use ketoconazole 1% every 8 hours for skin and if you have dandruff use ketoconazole 2% shampoo
Though propably you have already tried it.
Im a medfag, be careful when following advice here
Erithromycin or somethin, head and shoulders, coal tar. Hydrocort works too but dont use that the cure worse than disease in that case.
Kinda sorta thread hijack but how do I get rid of rosacea? It's the worst thing imaginable.
Different remedies help different people.
Personally, cutting sugar and foods that feed the malasezzia out and starting a probiotic has helped out.
I was also prescribed PromiSeb which helps with the redness a lot. Also, I've started the honey and xylitol treatment
I use Aveeno eczema relief, once a day, after washing my face with warm water and unscented plain soap. It works for me.
Lotrimin Ultra (Butenafine Hydrochloride) 2X a day for a month. Annihilates SD. No joke.
Had scales and shit on my face, did above routine and got rid of it. Dermatologists are frauds and will tell you nothing will cure it but medical journals and new research indicate Butenafine is more effective at combating the fungus than the traditional crap they prescribe.
Just wash your mouth after drinking your juice lmao
Water fasting bitch look it up.
Sorry to hop on, but I need some medical advice. I've been using a bidet and it's caused some catastrophic dryness all around my junk and around my butthole. It's open and weeping clear fluid. It's hella itchy and it hurts. I've stopped using the bidet but it's still bad, not really getting better. What do I do?
Corstisone is useless if it really sebhoreic dermatitis, use ketoconazole, the main issue is a fungus (malassezia furfur)
Use for 40 day even if you don't have itching anymore
>look it up
>unavailable in my europoor country
>not even with prescription
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Here's some light reading though
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
I had this and cured it. Fucking trust me.
1. Eat mainly red meat. Don’t eat chicken it makes it worse. Also don’t eat gluten/wheat. Rice is fine.
2. Take a good probiotic daily.
3. You need to run and sweat. The sweat flushes out the toxins. Critical step: its ultra important that you clean yourself after sweating, with cold water for instance. If the sweat stays on your skin for more than 20min it’s slowly going to get reabsorbed and you’ll have done no progress. Also make sure to squat and sprint because it strengthens your immune system.
if it's all over your face idk what to tell you, I only had it on my scalp but it plagued me for about 5 years I'd get these massive thick flakes that almost felt more like scabs than dandruff and it itched like crazy. I tried the apple cider vinegar treatment, didn't do shit, tried washing my hair multiple times a day and it made it worse, selsun blue didn't do anything either.
I tried this shit after watching a Veritasium youtube vid were he went to the head & shoulders research lab and their scientists were talking epigenetics and shit, I always thought their stuff was a gimmick so I stayed away but I tried it because I didn't have much to lose at that point and it cleared in up completely within 2 weeks, itching was gone the first wash. The zinc ingredient kills the fungus and if the head & shoulder scientists are to be believed over the course of a few weeks your epigenetics change to quit producing so much oil, which your body was doing in an attempt to fight the fungus but the fungus was just eating the oil and thriving. I can only vouch for the 3 in 1 mens for oily hair but this shit has been a life saver.
Ketoconazole is what got rid of mine years ago
Legit. Truth is there are a lot of complicated factors in this issue and many different solutions are out there. Stress, immune system, hormones, diet, etc- so many factors at play.
>water fasting bitch
trips have spoken, OP. seek the bitch out, and make her confess her water fasting secrets.
used to use some special shampoo from the farmacy but for some reason it stopped working. head and shoulders works but it wont cure you. youll have to use it frequently enough.
you can however kinda fix it by not masturbating. it seems seb. eczema actually gets a lot worse when jerking it. i notice my skin get a lot more oily.
on no fap for 2 weeks and the skin is kinda silky but not oily at all. eczema kept in check.
might not work for you but im a chronic mastrubater so maybe i fucked up something down the road at one point.
fasting also helps
Wash face (and I suspect hair) with nizoral
Using this stuff overnight (for the zinc) cleared mine up: theordinary.com
it's gut related.
I fixed it with a restrictive diet.
Had to cook all the time.
I feel for you brother. I have it too. Diet got rid of it for me, but it requires swallowing the ultimate green pill and I had to cut out all processed foods, wheat, dairy and ofc any food allergies and cutting out sugar unless only from fruit, make lots of vege juices and have good probiotics. I'm almost raw vegan now. 9 years of my life insecure about that shit. It comes back slowly if i eat any garbage food. People telling you to take creams will just patch it up n make it worse if it is diet/gut related and i would not mind betting it is in almost all cases.
Eating better, exercising and using head and shoulders regularly helped mine significantly.
Been struggling with mostly mild-moderate eczema for 7ish years now starting what I was 15, that occasionally becomes severe. Kept having to get stronger steroid creams because the previous ones stopped working. When it's mild, I only use the cream like once every week or two but it can still get pretty noticable on my face. What helped me the most, legit no memes, was cutting out sugar and fasting/omad. Skin healed pretty efficiently and my face feels/looks better than it has in years after only like 2-3 months of this change. Still not completely gone, but I'm gonna keep experiemnting with my diet till something works. anythings worth trying, skin issues are fucking miserable
Also side note op I tried everything outside of pharma creams, from natural creams to supplements that are meant to target candida, sea salt and apple cider vinegar face washes etc. changing diet is the only thing that truly got rid of the problem. The tough part is changing your diet and not relapsing back onto processed foods. You can keep meat, that one is my own personal choice but seriously try cutting out everything I said. I'd get very minor outbreaks if i touched any bad shit and it would take about a good week to start to become less inflamed and a good 2-3 weeks to start dissapating. Never had such good skin too. The diet sounds restricting but that stuff is bad for you regardless if you had seb derm anyways. I feel so much better than I used to now that i am consistent with diet take it as the blessing you needed to force you into changing yourself and not cucking yourself with processed devitalized foods. I wish I changed my diet at 14 and not 23 ffs
>farmacy shampoo stopped working
Let me guess, you used it every day for a year or so, right?
How come so many of us have this shit on the fitness board ? Is it related to sport ?
I've read that it might occur because of stress, diet and the fungus proliferating.
Stress and diet are related to lifting, since an intense effort is considered as a stress.
Anyway, I just began the Seignalet diet to try to cure it since this diet is supposed to cure psoriasis, which is very similar. (raw meat, no gluten nor milk, ect)
I believe that the fungus is not the cause but a consequence, since papers claim that dermatitis patients have a shit ton of interferon gamma in their gut, it's made by the immune system to fight viruses and it seems to be secreted by stress also. It causes a leaky gut, and indirectly the dermatitis.
So I'm just wondering if this is caused by sport, food allergies or something else. And it would fuck the skin microbiote up. (more fungus, more bad bacteria, I can't find the paper that listed all the bacteria present on dermatitis patients anymore)
SO, to the people who said they cured it, is it for more than a year ? Because it is supposed to come back every winter.
Mine was minor and I used to get big dandruffs for like a week every year, then it got super strong and lasted a year on my scalp then migrated to my eyebrows.
Now I look like I have shredded cheese all over my face after every bjj training. -> Suicide material
Lots and lots of vaseline also some mild steroid cream that is prescription only if that doesn't help. It's caused by eczema.
it was ketokonazole shampoo. ive been using it for close to 15 years at that point. weirdly enough it stopped working right after i had a surgery and had to be put on a course of antibiotics.
I had allergies and eczema as a kid. At 19 and then 20 , both times in the winter, I got increasingly worse dandruff and like yours, mine spread to my face, elbows, wrists, and even temporarily to my penis. I was slightly worried I might even be living with HIV which was crazy considering my low sexual activity, but it was weird enough to worry.
I tried a bunch of cleansing and diet stuff, zeolite, probiotics, antifungal herbs, even oral diflucan and topical ketoconazole. Over time, until age 22, it disappeared entirely. Now at 23, I haven’t had it in a while.
However, at 22, I did have another weird immune system burp of sorts, found out I had RMSF, got freaky symptoms akin to mono, cancer, HIV, etc, plus enflamed testes and filtering organs. It ended up going away on its own.
Now I’m at least grateful that things are back to normal and I’m pretty healthy. Only real issue with my skin now is acne, but at least more of‘androgenic pattern acne and not some diseased mess, and it keeps me convinced my body thinks that it’s still 18-19.
I eat plenty of sugar and shit nowadays but I eat a varied diet with greens and pretty much all kinds of probiotic and raw foods, things are going pretty well I’d say.
I’m glad I saw this thread. For the last 18 months I stopped peeling my lips, but they’ve barely improved. The skins thickens up then eventually falls of after 4 to 7 days. The cycle won’t stop and it looks awful. I’ve had blood and swabs taken and they found a staph infection so they gave me antibiotics, but since then not much has changed. The dermatologist told me it’s probably a remnant from the the extremely bad childhood eczema I grew out of. I’ve been prescribed topical coricosteriods but they made my lips red raw, and I know it’s bad long term so I don’t like using them. Recently I started using hydrocortisone ointment 1% about 3 times a day on my lips and it seems to be controlling the skin growth, but I know once I stop using it, it will start again.
Pic related is what it looks like, google exfoliate Chelitis to see examples.
Soolantra fixed all my skin problems.
Research it and make up your own mind
Probably the fungus developed a resistance, try something else likeRules of thumb is never use any drugs for longer than a couple months
My tips- take ZMA amd get lots of sunlight plus supplement vitamin d3, take diflucan, eat well with a lot of garlic and onions , and to be honest get a lot of protein and sulfur. Perhaps even take glucosamine and msm for sulfur and collagen gains. I’d even recommend taking some sort of gh boosting drug like mk677 or even a peptide like bpc157, which apparently heals gut lining and skin, which could address your issue from the inside and out.
Oh also probiotics.and some tea wouldn’t hurt
>How come so many of us have this shit on the fitness board ?
cause high test means acne and other skin problems
Mate, I suffer the same problem. I used urea lotion like 5% urea and that shit is fully under control. Works for face and scalp famalam.
Or you could just bathe in the piss, my dude
>you can however kinda fix it by not masturbating
shower daily in the morning using head n shpulders on scalp and face
t. retard who tried every drug, diet, routine and other stuff like fasting, apple vinegar cider, creams etc. and now only do h&s and daily showers
I'll give it a shot. Thanks. I have zero history of eczema though. I thought that was something that you had since childhood?
It probably means he's low on zinc. Zinc plays an important role in sperm production and skin health - guess which one your body will prioritise.
possibly low on zinc but it also makes my skin extremely oily. and excess sebum is exactly what worsens the condition. stop wanking and see for yourself. 2 weeks no porn+nofap
Try whole food vegan diet. There are cases where it cured skin disease and acne.
Vegan + roids + carnivore childhood + good genes + heavy supplementation of deficient nutrients and protein
Does it make your hair fall ?
Does it cause balding ?
Details and typical meals please sir
I have severe seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp, I genuinely think it is a climate disease. Mine cures during warm summers and holidays. Northern mediterranean climate works the best for me, as its my roots. My dermatitis goes rampant in wet and cold winters.
You can surpress it but there is no cure. Use ketaconazole (2%) when mild, do a week of hydrocortizone every other day combined with the ketaconazole if its heavy (maximum a week, preferably a few days - cortizone is bad and a last resort).
It comes and goes. It also gets worse when having stress, so chill.
>Rules of thumb is never use any drugs for longer than a couple months
Is it the same with supplements ? how long till a retake them after the break ?
>supplements
No, it's only for antibiotics, antifungals, psychoactive drugs and more i am probably forgetting about, but the main one are those three
As for how long should you wait is hard to tell, the problem with antibiotics and antifungal is that once the bacteria developed a resistance, it's usually there untill you manage to kill them with something else/wait till they all die by themselves, and it's kinda hard to do with fungi because there aren't a lots of type of drugs and you immune system isn't that great at killing them by himself, especially the ones living on the skin like the one causing seborrheic dermatitis
Cutting sugar, helped me! Also, had bad anal itchiness. Sugar gone - no itch. Except for friends.
>roidniggers
The absolute state
Sounds stupid but if you have some vitamin e pills, crush em and wipe the oil on your rash.
I get pretty bad flareups, but I've found some things that seem to help.
Keep a 2% Nizoral Rx with your doc. Use this every other day. One off-days, use head and shoulders/selsen blue or TGel Coal Tar shampoo from Neutrogena. On days you use the coal tar shampoo, make sure you use a nice smelling conditioner before you get out of the shower.
1-2% hydrocortisone creams. Keep use of this at a relative minimum and only use when you're breaking out, or when you feel you're about to have a bad breakout.
I use a good portion of the "Hydro Boost" line from Neutrogena. Specifically the moisturizer gel-cream and the serum.
Finally, the single thing that I've found that seriously helps with the redness is this the "Say Yes to Primrose" clay facemask. Use this every other day or every other two days before bed, and when you wake up you'll only be dry and flaky, not RED dry and flaky.
Good luck anons.
P.S Jow Forums keeps flagging my post as spam and its really pissing me off.
OK OP, I've seen a few posts but here's what worked for me. I had it for about a year, constant flareups lasting 30 minutes and scales on my nose, bad flaky skin. This cream completely got rid of it, if you're really desperate go to your doc and ask for this cream, but try to work on diet as well cause that likely could be causing it. I also read somewhere it may be puberty so if you're around 18 that also may be causing it.
Hot oil massage once or twice a week and wash your break out areas with nioxin scalp recovery. This will cure it.
I had very severe seb-derm for a couple of years before i got it well under control. I would upload pics I have when it went out of control but I am too pussy to do so. Everyone is different but here are my tips.
1.) Use Aveeno daily moisturising cream once per day i the morning. I would suggest the small bottles rather than large so the cream is more "fresh".
2.) Avoid soaps/shampoo on your face. I just wash my face with luke warm water twice a say. Hot water seems to aggravate it.
3.) 2 years ago I noticed when I am was on holiday I never got it. I think this was basically because I was doing a lot of walking between meals. I think this has to do with digestion mabye. When I just lay down after a meal/go to sleep its harder to digest. Now I do some jumping jacks after meals.
That is just some shit that worked for me. As I said I got it really bad but now if I follow the above points I dot get it at all.
coconut oil will do the trick ?how long ?
fasting has been reported to fix sebs.
>except for friends
There is a guy online who swears by Ambrotose internally and salcura externally. Anyone tried it?
Have you tried burning yourself, you fucking disgusting abomination.
I have this. Bought zinc soap and some kind of seborrheic dermatitis cream from amazon. Can’t even tell I have it anymore. No need to go to the doctor just buy this shit from amazon you can thank me later
Just an addendum to what I said before, use the soap on your face in the shower, it’ll take about a week before it’s gone completely. I’m dead serious dude do this thank me later
Metronidazole gel apply it once daily on affected areas.
There simply isn't any kind of cure for seborrheic dermatitis, you'll have to learn how to live with it.
Mometasone furoate ointment is a good topical medication, just apply it for 3 or 4 days then keep away from it for a week, whenever you think it's getting too blushed/there's too much skin peeling.
Head and Shoulders has some good shampoos for your hair.
t. medfag who also suffers from seborrheic dermatitis
He probably means he is lonely and wants friends
Your limiting knowledge / belief is disgusting, medfag. I’ve had sebderm and then had it go away entirely.
Chronic use of steroids is bad shit.
Bolster your immune system. The human body is fucking astonishing , it normally keeps so many pathogens and affronts at bay. It’s silly to just give up on trying to solve the root problem.
T. Guy who posted earlier itt who had seb derm on his elbows, wrists, face, scalp and dick
Stop fapping and watching porn.
>I’ve had sebderm and then had it go away entirely.
Why would you lie on the internet like that?
>Hydro Boost
Their facewash makes my SD flare up, and gives me weird oozy hives that eventually turn into pimples on my forearms. I've tried it 4 times, spread weeks apart and it does that without fail.
Someone on another website had something similar happen to them and It's weird.
