I gained 40 pounds

Okay. Could’ve been better, but whatever.

>it'll be one year without him in March
It hurt. And 2019 will hurt even more.

>lost dad
>gained weight
>lost friends
>didnt bother learning for uni
>have done nothing but watching netflix and listening to music all day

next year should be better

I have 30k followers so I am a bit famous now

ahh so you make these anti feminist videos?
or do you make the tiktok compilations?

Amazing, I lost over 100lbs and am now stronger than I've ever been, I also read a ton of books(relatively) and did a ton of growing as a person. There was a lot of low points too, like some of the worst in my whole life, but my momentum couldn't be broken and I'm carrying some speed into 2019. Here's to you anons, we're all gonna fucking make it.

he makes antifeminist tiktok videos

>lost friends
>didnt bother learning for uni
>have done nothing but watching netflix and listening to music all day
those are good things desu

Quads of feels

>got fit
>got a new job
>had sex multiple times with prostitutes
>made a couple of new friends
>started doing cardio siriously
>started learning spanish

If only i finish my bachelor thesis, get a gf and move out i would be actually satisfied.

Initially:
> Graduate with 3.5
> Get a GF
> Move into awesome apartment

December:
> Fail to get dream job
> GF leaves me
> Have to move out of apartment because I'm only breaking even with current job

Bittersweet year OP. Fun ride though, excited for 2019.

I lost 15 lbs and then gained 15 lbs.

Not bad op
>Got a 3.94 gpa in my second year of uni
>Lost my virginity
>Hit 2.5 pl8 bench

Really wanna get my body count up higher in 2019 tho.

>managed to get rid of alcohol cravings
>gotten back into lifting but i`m nowhere where i was 3 years ago
>mainly because of 6000km of mountainbiking that kept me busy
>managed to rebuild myself an old racing bike recently
>personal goal is at least 10000km on racing bike between jan-dec `19

2019 will be a final goodbye to upper body gains, planning on going full t-rex

I got a real career job for the first time in my life and went on a lot of trackdays.

That's literally all I have to show for the entirety of 2018. I guess this is my peak.

>injured for 9 months
>lost a fuck ton of gains
>life got flipped upside down out of nowhere
>major depressive episode and mental breakdown as a result

But

>became a lot closer with a handful of my friends, genuinely think i might be friends with them for life
>gained newfound confidence and maturity
>developed couple of new hobbies

I take the good with the bad. Adversity breeds character and im cautiously optimistic about what the next year could hold for me.

Pretty good, more highs than lows

>Finished Masters degree
>Moved back to parents
>Made some noobgains
>Got PhD scholarship
>going to move out next month
>Lost noob gains due to injury and removal of wisdom teeth

The lord gives it, and the lord takes it.

>Really wanna get my body count up higher in 2019 tho.
Why? So you can be another gross reprobate?

>started getting real about gainz
>surrounded myself with a group of people I'm comfortable around
>stopped giving a shit about how people look at me and realized I'm not being constantly watched and judged by those around me
>tried chemical shit in a foreign nightclub and had the best night of my life
>close to perfecting my German, starting on Mandarin next year

been uphill since last year
feels good

>physical and mental health got worse (i.a got IBS + some other hormonal problems
>lost 18 lbs
>social skills improved
>slowly getting into srs "adult" life
>got a practice gf
could be much worse I guess

Regarding sports
>Went great till May
>Writing on my master thesis gave me a lot of time for lifting
>Lots of injuries and tweaked muscles though
>Did some bouldering. Pretty fun, can only recommend
>Started a job in August
>Wagecuck life. Working out more and more difficult
>Even more injuries, illnesses
Wasn't really able to work out for the past 2 months. Just getting back into it now

Other than that
>Met a beautiful and amazing girl
>Travelled with her, had such an amazing time
>Fucked it up of course
>Suffer from Dysthymia (a form of depression)
>Leaving for working on the Philippines end of January
>Don't really want to leave

What is your mother tongue? Good on your for learning German. Mandarin might be really difficult.
Any advice on how to learn a language? I want to learn russian, but when I sit in my room and learn vocabulary it just feels stupid and useless

I lost 30kg.

>Lost grandfather
>Lost contact with most of my friends
>Got GF
>Uni getting easier
>Gains stagnating
It has been a wild ride, but i'm happier now than last year, and definitely happier than 5 years ago when I was a NEET failure. We're all gonna make it

> lost a good friend
> fell in love with 18 year old girl
> got rejected because she likes muscular 30 year olds
> started hitting the gym and made very good progress
> snapped my arm while arm wrestling a week ago

I am still positive and I've have a feeling that 2019 will be my year.
We're all going to make it bros!

was a good year
i realised alot of things and lost some pounds and gained some muscle mass
2019 will be my year and i will FUCKING MAKE IT

i was training the day after getting all 4 wisdom teeth removed, not an excuse lol

Cheers brah

Mother tongue is Australian English, so the accents were a challenge to overcome. I suggest writing everything you learn down and practicing your vocab daily, you've also got to WANT to learn it. With German, it was a steep uphill, but when you get the grammar and sentence structure down, it eases out, likely the same with Russian.

>dropped out of uni
>started working for my dad as a delivery guy
>0 friends
>no gf
>fair amount of money i'm saving for a car
>started lifting in may
>gained 20 lbs from skeleton mode
>hyped af for this summer
idk if the negatives outweigh the positives tbqh

Went from 400lbs. to 350lbs. Stopped drinking soda. Only gym in town is Planet Fitness. Rural. Life will be better.

Oh, and lost all my friends. Mostly D&D guys. Just drifted. Started learning Irish, lifting has taken my life over. I just wish I was losing faster.

>Not making anti-feminist or tiktok compilations to capitalise on the current market
Never going to make it

Lost virginity
Lost 36 pounds
Spent about 10k on clothes

>Spent about 10k on clothes
wtf

u shouldve spent 10k to lose your virginity dumbass

>Started learning Irish
Props. Simultaneously the most useless and the most badass language there is desu.

was alright
full of ups and downs but the ups were good
in a better place going into next year, looking forward to getting going

Fuck, why do many guys who just started gym (I'm speaking in the last year) try arm wrestling and snapping their arms? You're the 4th guy I heard did this. Is it because your newfound muscles give you a sense of strength you've never had before lifting? I can only guess because I also wanted to try arm wrestling but after I've seen so many snaps, no fucking thanks.

Was pretty good. My first year post college, no student loan debt because of the GI bill, and managed to land a good sales job in the pre need (funeral services) industry. Money is good and I get to go into old peoples homes a lot.

>close to perfecting my German

What sort of study did / do you do for it? I've been learning German as a hobby for a few years now, mostly self-taught, but I also took some night classes earlier this year.

I've mostly just done reading and listening to podcasts, so I'm decent at reading and listening, but my speaking is very rough because I don't practice it.

I personally hate studying grammar, so I've sort of settled on an immersion type approach and just having a feel for what's right and wrong. I realise it isn't ideal in terms of writing grammatically correct sentences etc. but I figure it's better than me not doing anything because I find grammar so incredibly fucking boring.

From talking to foreigners who moved here, what I've gotten from them is that they only really became fluent at English once they were immersed in it here - they had studied for years in their home countries, but only got good after the move. I think it'll be similar for me and German um ehrlich zu sein.

how about you don`t buy a car and invest in real estate? buy garages or storage space for example

Thanks Satan. I just wanted to do it. It was either Irish or Icelandic. Irish was on Duolingo, and got a few books from HPB.

then eat even less, unless you wanna reach your weight goal in 2030 ofc

>got married
>went to london
>hit 2/3/4/5

pretty good, life isnt that hard.

>got a new job
>moved to London
>Broke up with my long distance gf
>Had a thing with a crazy Spanish chick
>lifts haven't gone up substantially but i'm happy with how I look, confidence is through the roof
not bad year all in all, 2019 will be the best yet I can tell

Noticed my hair starting to get thinner. Got a good paying job. Started a masters in computer science.

Overall, not too bad.

>got arrested for hit and run (misdemeanor)
>grandfather died
>lost most of my friends
>put on probation
>worked all year to pay fines
>dropped out of college
>fell in love with a girl
>she didn't feel the same way
>became extremely depressed
>got back into the gym
>have lost about 30 pounds so far
>enrolled back into school for Spring

This year has definitely been the worst of my life, but I know that it could have been so much worse.
