Is there a certain amount of black coffee/tea one can drink before breaking their fast? Work offers both for free, and workdays are pretty long. Is one an objectively better option?

is steaming better than boiling? I hate having to clean the steamer thing, but don't want to lose any excess nourishment

Are something like these passable enough to wear to the gym and still be /fa/? I ask because leggings were the only thing I found comfortable when squatting and it made people uncomfortable due to my dick print so now I need new pants.

How far will these dumbbells get me? (Looking up dumbbell specific exercises for exercises that normally don't use them)
Each side fits 6 2.5kg weights. (I think 5 5kg weights will fit too)

I'm trying chewable creatine since when I had powdered creatine it'd always clump at the bottom of my glass..
I know its not as cost effective so maybe it was the quality of the powder perhaps?

Is weighing yourself once a day too much?

I had a bloody turd, do I have bowel cancer?

a few years ago it was cool to wear shorts over leggings, not sure if it still is, and now i am the least authority of what is and is not fa.

>dick print
post pics

yeah, you're gonna die

weigh yourself weekly or monthly, not daily
go to a doctor

How come I'm gassing out after like 2 sets of a given exercise ? I have good running cardio because I run a lot but lifiting shit it making me out of breath really fast... is this normal? I'm a beginner btw

take 1 min breaks between sets.
Don't do sets of >12
Maybe drop weight?

just keep doing what you're doing, it will get better pretty quickly

Is there anything to counting calories besides just reading the number of calories on the back of the box? Do I need to add 4 calories for every carb or something? I'm eating like one meal a day at 200lbs and staying the same weight, the wiki said that it's because my body thinks I'm starving and stores fat. Will eating more actually help me lose weight?

someone pls

No, no, and no. If you're actually doing OMAD without snacking and that one meal isn't fuckhuge then you'll begin to see results. The starvation mode theory is bullshit and even if it weren't you'd see a loss in weight nonetheless. How long have you been dieting?

What bodyweight should I aim to be if I'm 6'6" and want to lift 1/2/3/4?

Currently 210 lbs up from about 160 due to bulking.

I just smoke a lot and it kills my appetite, I've been eating about 1000 calories a day at most for a year and I've been at the same weight that whole time.

Is recomposition a meme? If not what should my CICO/protein look like? Or should I just stick to a cut then a lean bulk

>1000 calories a day at most for a year
No fucking way. Unless you have some crazy genetic disease which somehow makes your body expend no energy that is thermodynamically impossible. Best thing I'd advise is to look extra careful at those calories you're taking in, and if you are in fact correct then??? see a doctor maybe???

No matter what the routine is, dumbbells will only get you so far. Grip will be your bottleneck and you will never be able to get the same weight for squats, deadlifts, bench, rows, and various other movements up to their potential.

I'll let you in on a secret: Pour the powder in your mouth and swish around some water.

you don't just casually pack on 50 lbs dude. And you can be 400 lbs before you hit 1/2/3/4 or 199. It entirely depends on your BF%, time training, and otherwise. Don't obsess so much over the number.

Kinda. Recomping is a thing but it is incredibly slow. Also I don't know about your second question because you haven't given us any stats about yourself

Can I take creatine as a daily supplement forever, or do you have to cycle?

I don't move a lot, I maybe walk and stand for 15 minutes a day at most and the rest of the time I'm sitting or lying down.

No need whatsoever to cycle it

What are some nice healthy cheeses to cook with? I really like halloumi but it's not very healthy it seems.

if you're worried about cheese you probably have other dietary factors that you should look at, cheese is pretty healthy, unless it's a fake oil based cheese-like product

I hope you're 4'8" or not weighing your food because there is a 0% you are healthy eating only 1000 calories a day.

Nah it's just that I've gone vegetarian, need some tasty protein and fat sources. ATM I use Quorn but I want to move away from it eventually.

My apartment has a gym, but there's no barbells. There's lots of dumbbells, kettlebells, a Smith machine, one of those cable things, and a bunch of machines. Is there any way I can get a decent workout here? It would be nice to not have to pay for a gym and not have to drive there.

Cool down water you used to boil, drink it.

I work in a bar, and last night there was an Asian guy there, around 5'8", probably mid 30s, and definitely there on his own. I don't know if he drank a lot but he went out to the smoking area to have a cig quite a few times. Around mid way through the night he was dancing quite sporadically near a group of girls but not talking to anyone. Every other time he was just kind of standing there looking around, drinking, smoking or looking at his. I felt sorry for him.

Not a question but I needed to get that out of my head.

*looking at his phone

we've all been there at one point in our lives.

what is proper form for OHP? should my back be bending a little bit or should i reduce weight?

reduce weight increase reps

>Going to the bar alone
Is there anything inherently wrong with this? Why does this set off red flags for so many people?

I didn't mean to imply that there was anything wrong with that, but he seemed to be on his own for the whole night, never talking to anyone. He was there until closing.

there's a 0% chance he is healthy with moving 15 min a day.

>you don't just casually pack on 50 lbs dude. And you can be 400 lbs before you hit 1/2/3/4 or 199. It entirely depends on your BF%, time training, and otherwise. Don't obsess so much over the number.

So I don't need to eat excess calories as long as I get my 1 gram of brotein per lb bodyweight?

How to fuck do you get rid of muscle knots? Using a foam roller doesn't seem to work

You also don't need 1g/lb of bodyweight, that is an ancient debunked myth. The absolute most you'll benefit from is 0.82g per lb. Most people are probably good with .7g/lb honestly.

And yeah, at the end of the day all that matters is calories consumed. Protein is second in command.

5'8" 23 yrs old

I just want to look better. Am i better off doing greyskull + cardio or a PPL?
Also, bulk or cut?

Attached: 20181129_183905.jpg (2660x1784, 2.29M)

Greyskull to start with. Cut.

Suggestions for good lifting sneakers I can get off Amazon? As cheap as possible, and I don't need lifting shoes as I'm DYEL. All the sneakers I see are super padded and have raised heels. Should I just get some knock-off chucks?

I like those short inseam shorts with the cut on the thigh so they don't squeeze you while you squat down. They're not bodybuilding tier short but short enough to feel like your squatting naked.

I'm practically on the floor after a set of heavy squats. Then people tell me I need to limit my rest time to 45 seconds, Jow Forums can get fucked.

Anything you can do with barbells you can do with dumbbells if you have enough of them and they're big enough

Eat before you lift for energy

You can get a workout, but probably not a decent one. You got a cable machine for nonnegotiables, dumbells + probably a chinup bar somewhere for weighted chins so now you just need chest and legs. You could do dumbell benchpresses but I don't know what you could do for legs.

You can do shitty DL alternatives and goblet squats. Not gonna make gains like you would with a barbell but hey

have barely shit in 3 days despite eating a lot. have been farting a lot though

when i did shit it was flat

whats wrong?

Are...I don't know the right term...complex exercises useful? Like doing a bicep curl with an overhead press at the top of the curl (all in one rep) or a pec fly followed by a bench press (all in one rep). My goal is "user you lift weights right?" if that helps.

Should I drink protein powder if I'm using a rowing machine for 30 mins a day?

When does running stop sucking? On my second day and I'm building up saliva and spitting like crazy during my run and my chest feels....horse if that makes sense, slightest taste of blood. I was half expecting this hell on a count of my conditioning being abysmal and not running in a few years

Anyone go to anytime fifness? Only close gym and wondering if they have good equipment

when do i stop a linear progression routine

Is nitro tech whey and cell tech creatine worth buying?

Anyone have a chin up bar that they would recommend?

Couple weeks if you’re that new.

Can a migraine have some of the same symptoms as a stroke does?
Yesterday I started getting a headache and my vision was sorta fucky after looking on the computer a few hours so I went to lay down and nap for an hour, laying on my back. When I woke up my left arm was a little tingly and numb, left side of my face, and even my tongue was a little numb. Sorta started having a mini panic attack (i have an anxiety disorder, probably brought on by my years of pot use if I had to guess,) and it got a little hard to breathe. So I paced around for like an hour and a half, started getting a headache as I moved around but I felt better overall still. Neck hurt and still does hurt, still have a slight headache right now, been about 24 hours with one but it's not as bad as it was.
Thing is, I got a fucked up lower back and get neck pain on and off, despite only being 21 years old... think its because or a trampoline related injury in my teens mainly. So, did I just have a really bad migraine, panic attack, and am experiencing a pinched nerve? Or does anyone think it could be something more?
I feel fine now aside from some neck and back pain, little bit of a headache.

When you stop progressing

Is what I'm experiencing normal? I'm running like half a mile, perhaps less

I feel like no matter how hard I try I can't put on mass even though my strength is staying the same/improving wtf do I do

where do you get your platinum oxide catalyst to use in the reduction of your homebrew meth?

Track your calories. You aren't eating as much as you think you are

I started lifting six months ago and although I'm pleased with my strenght gains, I'm still fat. 22 years old, 5'11", and around 215 lbs. What is the best approach to cutting while on a 5x5 program?

Attached: 1543635134943.jpg (565x561, 33K)

When people talk about 1/2/3/4 do they mean it as a one rep max goal? Or should I be looking to do those as sets?

both

just bought a random one. Hasn't even arrived yet. I had to take one of the telescopic ones, because my door frames aren't suitable for ones like in your pic.

Don't think it matters much. What do you plan to do with it?
I am mainly getting it to hang my rings on it and do planche, some maltese exercises, maybe some front and back lever, one arm weighted hanging, and eventually one arm pull up.

If you are getting it purely for regular pull ups, then it really doesn't matter much. It's not like you need some super comfortable grip or anything. Those wide grips are a meme. Wide pull ups are legit if you are training for iron cross, but if you want size or one arm pull up you don't need wide grips on the pull up bar.

Bars that have neutral grips are also a meme, unless you got some sort of shoulder injury.

Attached: telescopic bar.jpg (500x333, 19K)

no, those 2 things are unrelated. drink protein powder if you are a vegan, foodlet.

Can I get to 10-12% bf without cardio?

Is there anyway to make your balls bigger? no synthol pls

very rarely do these work. You are going to be OHPressing much more than you are going to be bicep-curling. So in this exercise the bicep curls will limit the weight you can use on OHP.

I assume there are going to be some combinations that are suitable, but not for strength training. They will work if you are after size/endurance so no harm in doing them if you enjoy that way of training.

It is possible

I only have regular pull ups in mind for now. I'm just looking for something sturdy that won't break while I'm hanging on it, and for some reason I trust testimonials from anons on Jow Forums more than reviews on Amazon

Does running with weighted clothes count as cardio or weight training?

are you a big guy. 90kg+ is where I would start getting cautious, even though they should support like 120kg I thinik? not sure about that number.

You probably've heard this already.
>look for reviews of 2-3-4 stars, that have something positive as well as something negative to say. don't trust 1 and 5 stars. even though having a lot of those is a good/bad sign.

I really encourage you to just risk it with the reviews, kind of follow your intuition. unless you are some starving college student. In my country those bars cost like 20-40lv, which is about10-20$, so not a big investment. It's a good skill to practice - not always playing it safe that is.

cardio, but if youre a pretentious fuck, you might brag to people and tell them you do weighted cardio

cardio. Why'd you wear weighted clothing in the first place is a mystery all its own. All it's gonna do is tire you out faster: better to have endurance at a regular weight.

I have one. It's fine, though I do wish it was a little higher up since my knees are pretty close to the floor when I'm dead hanging.

Nah I'm 75 kg, I'm just paranoid since it seems like everything I find online turns out to be cheap chinese shit. Guess I'll just look harder

6'0" 160lbs DYEL here
I'm starting weights for the first time, have been dicking about with dumbbells for a while and picked up Starting Strength. But what I'm really worried about is adding enough calories to my daily intake to actually put on mass. Do I really need to worry about trying to hit a specific calorie count each day right now or will I be alright if I just eat *more*?

The problem with "just eating more" or "just eating less" is that you'll likely over estimate or under estimate depending on your goals. Counting and tracking calories keeps you honest and gives you a record of your eating habits. This way if you haven't met your monthly goals you can look back and see why you haven't instead of just thinking "well I ate more so I don't know what went wrong" when in reality you weren't eating nearly enough.

It's zero calories, how could it break your fast? tea and coffee are water.

>Is what I'm experiencing normal?
yes, but suppliment with breathing exercises

yeah they are usually pretty well equipped. But some are better than others

Yes. Read the sticky.

I've plateaued at 27/30 push-ups for a few weeks now, any tips for what I am doing wrong?

redpill me on compression clothing and why should i wear them

Lifting weights is a good start

Are Arnold Presses or OHPs better for shoulder size gains?

But I do user :(

Lift heavier weights and eat more.

Even if I can't make some lifts now?

This shit isn't Dragonball

Wouldnt it fuck up his knees too? What the hell are the point of those weights

Do you guys think that $52 CAD (that's $38 USD) is a decent price for these? I would go buy some used ones or something, but where I live Craigslist doesn't really have a lot going on and I don't have a gym near me either. I know these aren't exactly heavy, but I'm a weakling and I'm just looking for something that will at least get me a little muscle.

Instead of running, you could try jump roping. hell, you could combine it with walking. Walk about 2 miles in total, and every 5 minutes, jump rope for 5 minutes until you reach about 20 minutes total jump roping, or reach about 2 miles in length.
