Fuck, very impressive. Keep up the good work user!

Thanks user! Thinking of getting a belt soon.

Fugg, I broke my 1RM PR of 135 kg yesterday with 140x2, hopefully I can get to your level within the next 2-3 months

Very nice. Now do 141. You're making it.

How long you've been lifting?

you could do that within 2 weeks user, adding reps is all psychological
godspeed

2-3 months?
I did 135 x5 2 weeks ago, 140kgx3 last week and now 5 reps
Are you doing monthly progression? Im doing weekly.
>141
Ahem ill try 145 next week

Damn, you think? Might give it a try within the next 2 weeks then

Nah, I just thought progress is supposed to slow down at this point. Did 125x5x3 last session

Oh..that’s not good OP.

A belt changes the mechanics of your Squat.

You should have been using one from the day you started.

If you introduce a belt now you will have to lower the weight in order to learn the new mechanics of squatting with a belt on.

I am currently in this process myself, but I didn’t start using a belt until 160kg Squats, I’m back under 100kg now learning proper form with using a belt properly. I actually hurt myself using my 160kg current 5rm and just putting a belt on without lowering the weight first.

The same goes for if you introduce squatting shoes. You can’t just use the same weight, as the mechanics are different.

Now I recommend that all people start with Squat shoes and Belt from day 1. It’s the only way to ensure your squat mechanics are the same forever.

Mark Rippotoe even says to use squat shoes and belt from day 1.

if you really want to get from 2 reps to 5 reps,

squat every other day, go heavy, some ideas:

>try 5 singles, with 2 minute breaks in between
>try 2 sets of 2
>try and get 5 reps in as few sets as possible, even if that ends up being 4 sets

Only 140kg? You are a lazy loser

this. i started using a belt when i was first learning how to bodyweight squat, then the bar

My converse are fine for now, I seem to be going lower than parallel.
I hope you are joking about the lowering weight thing cause I won't :))

200kg you lazy faggot.

1/10 at least u got a reply

And here i was getting hype to be nearly back to my body weight after like a year off lifting. Oh well, gotta start somewhere. Nice job, OP.

Holy shit.

I'm 187 105kg.

Are you like 10% bf?

lmao no like at least 15%+
I can't see my abs and still got some bellyfat/manhandles.
I was fat like 110kg before I started with 0 muscle for like 19 years since I was a baby

You're stronger than 98% of fit well done

Seriously user. The majority of Jow Forums is losers from pol and r9k who think doing SS will get them girls. The majority of them will stay on here shitposting for a while before they eventually give up on going to the gym or become pure gymcels.

There are a few worthwile people here though and sometimes the advice is fresh. I'm just here for the /sig/ threads desu

I hope you improve yourself on 2019 user!
