just run and to pushups lmao

Pullups, ruck, swim, climb, crawl

Tactical barbell

kek

Be able to hold a 15lb dumbell in one arm stretched out to your side while bent over for 60 seconds (so, using rear deltoid). For some reason instructors make this a big deal because most military can't do it.

bootcamp is not hard and they tell you what to do after.

There's probably a fitness guide at your local AF office.

If you're sick at running (distance and speed), push ups, sit ups, and pull ups you'll be miles better than most recruits.

Conditioning seems to be the most important

Howdy, current usmc 0311 with a few buddies in recon and one in MARSOC. I've talked to them about the kind of training they do and it's absolutely fucking inhuman. One morning they'll do a 7 mile ruck run (packs can be anywhere from 60-120lbs generally) on the beach and that very afternoon they'll do hours of swimming followed by olympic lifting and finally more running. They'll have days like this 4-5 days a week while not deployed.

BUT that's nothing you should do. Download the MARSOC fitness app, free and gives you a good routine that will get you boot kind of fit (high muscular endurance with cardio).

Focus in all workouts should be:
Mobility, flexibility, strength, power, explosiveness

For cardio, run a lot, like an incredible amount, like 10 miles a day, also train shuttle sprints for around 150-300 meters.

Honestly, if you want to be a great team member you should MAX OUT, be as big as you can (like 180 pounds) and get as much strength as you can from that weight.

The stronger person always wins and is always more helpful, be as strong as possible.

This, although being bigger won't always help you get through selection. In fact, the more lean guys have it easier with most events, especially all the running and calisthenics. What I've heard most is to be at a weight where you feel your performance is best, and where you can exceed the ruck times needed to be competitive. Take it with a grain of salt though, since I'm not actually in SF, just going to selection in a few months. This is just what everyone with experience has been telling me. I would just try to be a well-rounded athlete.

I don't know about special forces specifically but for military in general, think otter mode. Your 1RMs don't mean shit. They just want guys that can run around and carry shit all day long.

Hey I used to do that in boxing

>For cardio, run a lot, like an incredible amount, like 10 miles a day
100% wrong
none of this is true
100% wrong
Do you even know what youre asking? You say SF do you actually mean SF or do you mean SOF?

>HIIT
Even though you should not disregard running (with a backpack) sprinting gives you good endurance and you will have it easier to push for that extra effort when you feel like you are at your limit.
>Martial arts
If you find a legit one it will train your whole body and overall fitness. I recommend BJJ because you learn how to conserv your strength so you don't end up fatigued after 1 minute of effort.
>Fasting
While it is not a workout, fasting on water/snake juice is great for your willpower and helps you understanding you body.

Of course you schould also include push up, pull up and running routines in your training.

An average athlete is way more capable than any soldier. Just check some sport workouts

>Fasting
>While it is not a workout, fasting on water/snake juice is great for your willpower and helps you understanding you body.
Insanely bad advice
Wrong, and he said SF not some random pog.

yep, also see sealswcc.com/PDF/naval-special-warfare-physical-training-guide.pdf

I don't think you've ever been in the military. It's almost exclusively running and bodyweight exercises. The skinny otter mode guys had the easiest time. We had two SF candidates in my Basic platoon, they were both skinny little manlets but they could outrun, out obstacle course anybody.

>It's almost exclusively running and bodyweight exercises
not anymore, all thats going away. And big army stupidness isnt what SF does. SF and Batt have strength coaches on payroll and everyone does barbell training. The old style run all day workouts dont exist anymore grandpa. Youre about 20 years late.

Even special forces couldn't compete with a decent footballer (soccer).

Compete in what? Overall fitness is a measure of many things. And who cares whats your point?

>I tell everyone they're wrong but don't tell why
yeah, kill yourself faggot

Stop being man and actually ask and ill explain, look kid ive been here to long and have wasted to much time explaining things to idiots who post once and leave. Since youre still here tell me what you originally said and ill explain why its wrong.

>. I recommend BJJ

hmm sf spend all their time running over mountains with heavy stuff on their backs, guess i'll train for that by lying on the ground all day

tell me why running long distances and leaning out is bad preparation for the military

>I'm a Fucking Retard: The Post

Stu Smith PT club. Google it. He is a former seal who trains guys preparing for special selection processes. Much of his stuff is available free.
Follow his programming and basic will be a breeze. Also start getting up early everyday. Those will be the biggest physical stressors.

seeTell me the problem and ill explain.
>why running long distances and leaning out is bad preparation for the military
He isnt going into big mil, hes trying for SF. Regardless its still wrong. You never do runs over 5 miles. You do however do long distance rucks, the final SF ruck is 25-30miles at night. And guess what makes you great at rucking? Muscle mass. As I said above the old military ideas of being thin and running forever are dying. As I said ranger batts and SF ODAs have their own strength coaches and they focus on compound movements and oly lifts. I can easily post loads of articles talking about this.

Heres an article about ranger workouts

Heres about the new SOF AF physical tests.

90% of special forces are on anabolics and hard drugs. So do that.

ahh
nothing like good ole gunny having your platoon march around brown field with your rifles out infront of you, holding the flash hider with your thumb and finger

jagdkommando has a preparation workout plan, but it's only for the entrance examination and the requirements are low as fuck because most of the wannabe specops will drop out during training
