I use that along with with lotion although not fitness related you can search this shit somewhere else you fucking imbecile

Lotion? Also I don't know where else to post this. This place used to be called fitness and health so I thought why not.

get the one with charcoal as it is better at cleaning out the pores. i use that Dove with charcoal but usually rotate through whichever charcoal face wash is on offer.
if you want the best skin possible you should search for Korean skin routine on youtube and find one talking about 10 steps or 14 steps or something like that, by a korean not a american. after you've watched it you will know the best routine for skincare, but it it is more than you need because you don't wear makeup and you want something more efficient. so you'll decide to drop a lot of it, but it is good to know the ideal.

find a vitamin c, vitamin f and a pro-retinol oil to use after cleansing(washing) and use a moisturizer after that. also get a moisturizer with high SPF to use in the morning. there are good articles on GQ about male skincare. a lot depends on your budget and how much time you'll spend.

thats not a moisturizer, thats a hydrating wash. they do two different things. you need a real moisturizer unless you are dehydrated/not drinking enough water but you should be doing that anyways

Shouldn't use lotion on your face use a moisturizing cream

Thanks for the advice man.
True. I plan to get a face wash and a moisturizer to use afterwards. I'll probably do it twice a day.

get cetaphil night cream as a moisturizer, with hazel as a toner, and if you need it, differin is a good product for acne. any exfoliator will do, which you should not do more than two times a week

You want something with absolutely no fragrance for your face, actually for all your soaps and shampoos ideally. Reason being that the fragrance irritates the skin and causes an inflammatory response.

Care to charcoalpill me? Costco has a few new charcoal based products, including deodorant and toothpaste, that I was thinking of trying out. I was especially interested in the deodorant, since I sweat a pretty decent amount, and I was wondering if it would be better to just let my glands get rid of stuff rather than clog them with aluminum-based compounds.

I'd start out easy. Girls fall for a lot of shit that does nothing like toners.

>face wash, foaming preferably
>BP or SA if you got acne (probably won't help though)
>moisturizer, cetaphil or cerave is probably all you need
>sunscreen if you can be bothered, asian chemical sunscreens are miles ahead of western shit

It's kind of weird that I haven't used any soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, deodorant or anything for the past 6 years and I get girls complimenting me on my hair and skin all the time, asking if they can run their hands through my hair.

CeraVe moisturizing cleanser followed by some witch hazel 1-2x a day
Then after the witchhazel dries, I use their plain moisturizer that comes in a similar bottle.

The stuff for men is literally a meme. Just use the good unscented stuff.

If you spend some time out in the sun or even laugh a whole lot, night cream is a good idea too, the wrong wrinkles can knock you down a solid point.

What's the witch hazel do as opposed to rinsing your face with cold water? Also for moisturizer do you mean pic related?

every man jack has a ton of fragrance free options, id check them out. they also dont have any SLS which can dry your face out. sadly they dont have a moisturizer tho op, only hydrating washes

chemical exfoliants > physical ones

as corny as it sounds, reddit actually has great advice on skincare via Jow Forumsskincareaddiction

The one in the rectangular bottle, the cream is too heavy for the face. You'll find it right away at CVS or Walgreens, check both for sales because at least one will usually have it on sale.

Wet face, rub cleanser in with a circular motion to make sure it penetrates, wash it off, apply the witch hazel toner, wait for it to dry and then apply the moisturizer.

And at night apply the night cream instead of the moisturizer if you want.

Alcohol based witchhazel toners can be a bit drying, but they're nice if you have acne. Thayer's rose witchhazel is alcohol free and pretty good.

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do over a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleansing lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial masque which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion. I do agree with the previous suggestion re: Korean facial product.

Do you use your leftover shaving cream in your hair?

Can anyone here tell me if blue light therapy stuff works to reduce pimples and red spots?

Bruh, everyone should use a toner. Just don’t get a garbage one with alcohol in it. It’s what keeps my face from being red during the day.

Also, don’t get anything benzoyl peroxide. That’s terrorism for your skin.

You daily skincare products should always be nourishing. It feels very counterintuitive if you’re an oily fuck like me, but this is the result of your skin trying to overcompensate by increasing oil production.

I completely agree with the suggestion to follow the Korean skincare regimen, if you can afford it. I cut my spending in most other areas in order to buy a bunch of high quality products, and I finally have good skin.

God tier product: UFO (Ultra-Clarifying Oil) by Sunday Riley. It contains salicylic acid, so it treats acne, but it’s applied as an oil (last step in my skincare regimen each night) so it doesn’t dry your skin out.

The price is steep ($80 for a full size bottle), but so fucking worth every penny. I finally have clear skin after many years, many products, and many dermatologist appointments.

Final recommendation: The Ordinary’s AHA + BHA peeling solution, used once a week. $15 on Amazon. Helps with acne and leaves you feeling soft+smooth as balls afterwards. Strong stuff though, follow the directions exactly.

The at home stuff? Not really. There are some good laser treatments are dermatologist’s office, but they can be expensive if your insurance doesn’t cover it. Many don’t since it’s considered cosmetic.

Imma recommend the UFO Oil I just mentioned in my previous post, and before that I also apply Peter Thomas Roth’s Retinol Night Serum. Currently at Target for $35. Has helped even out my skin tone considerably in just 2 months.

at dermatologists’ offices** jesus I need to go to bed

I would avoid charcoal toothpaste whilst it is great at cleaning. It can be too good at cleaning and whilst your teeth might be getting whiter. Your enamal is being stripped away slowly. As for skin products. It should be fine. Skin cells are constantly being produced so a layer or two of dead skin cells being swept away along with dirt and grime is not that bad. Though in relation to enamal. It is bad since that shit does not grow back.

Morning - Wash face, shower, face cleanser in the shower. CeraVe AM (literally have had women stare at my face mouthing to their friends cause it makes your face glow).

Before bed - Wash face with water and apply eye cream to under and around eye socket. Then apply CeraVe PM. This makes my skin look good in the morning and keeps me from getting pimples and shit.

Make sure your pillowcase is clean too.

>eye cream
Which?

Hol up... so in the morning after a shower you use face wash followed by moisturizer, then before bed you use face wash again again with some moisturizer afterwards?

CeraVe. I’m not a shill but all of their products do wonders for me and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my skin

Can confirm. I still use deoderant though, not antiperspirant.

No kind of soap for my face has ever done me any good. Shampoo also fucks up my hair. Have only gotten better since I dumped all that shit a few months ago.

Does charcoal help with big pores on my nose?

>benzoyl peroxide. That’s terrorism for your skin.
Explain?
I use 2.5% BP and it has helped my acne immensely.
Only issue is drying out, which I remedy by abstaining from BP for a couple days.
I use moisturizer every day btw

I use pic related
And FFS avoid parabens they're estrogen like compounds

there are countless of xenoestrogens on our products yet not a single xenoandrogen
Really makes you think huh?

What's the difference between the AM and PM product? I use the cream right now, just less of it since it's so thick.

Yes, doesn't your face feel dry after washing it with soap?

The AM has sunscreen in it which gives you more of a “glow” and protects your skin more from the sun during the day.
