so go the first exercise heavy then less heavy then light and rotate exercises so I always do 1 heavy 1 less heavy 1 light for every lift

You can just run strength/hypertrophy or strength/hypertrophy/hypertrophy. I’ve read that unless you really need the “power” for a specific purpose, then you are much better off using your time for something else. I believe it was either CWS or Nuckols who wrote about that.
It’s pretty much like how Nuckols sets up his 28 Free Programs in the Beginner/Int sections, there is no “power” and instead just somewhere in the middle.

Why even train heavy when more volume with lighter weights build more muscle. I never squatted over 315 in my life and in my one rep max squat test, I did 500lbs easily.
An unfamiliar movement pattern can be more taxing than a familiar one, plus you’ve done more weight and more work than you’re used to on top of it.
