Don't eat too much or too little.
Bath salt?
Salt is good, but don't be retarded about it
is it safe to have lots of salt say 7+g/day but drink a lot of water to balance? please respond
Without it, you will die, with too much you will die.
Nearly impossible to have too much. You’ll puke or get diarrhea if you try. And food will be obviously too salty if you over do it. Don’t artificially limit yourself. Russians have found that 14 g a day is not only tolerable but improves health and vitality.
Put a reasonable amount on your food/fuel if you are training hard. Sedentary fucks need to avoid added salt only because their diet is as shit as their lifestyle. At some point for everyone that trains hard enough, performance gains must be pushed ahead with carbs and adequate amounts of salt.
Non-issue scapegoat(like cholesterol) created by sugar Jews to deflect from the actual cause of today's health issues
So it's a "no-issue scapegoat" (like some other substance) that was chemically created and produced by some sugar race to deflect the actual cause of today's health issues? lol what
Sodium is an electrolyte. Sodium and Chloride make up the most common form of electrolyte consumption called salt. Another common form is called baking soda which is Sodium and Bicarbonate.
A few other important electrolytes your body needs to stay healthy are Potassium, Calcium, Phosphate, and Magnesium.
What you should get from this is that you do not necessarily need to eat salt to be healthy because what you ultimately need are the electrolytes. Furthermore your body prefers a specific balance of these different electrolytes for optimal health.
This information leads to my theory that salt is both good and bad. It is good because it helps you get the Sodium and Chloride that your body needs but bad because only eating salt will lead to an imbalance of your electrolyte consumption. This is also why nobody can definitely say that any amount of salt is healthy or unhealthy for you.
In essence it is all about consuming the proper balance of electrolytes that your body needs. I do not know the exact numbers but for every mg of salt that you consume you should also make sure that you are consuming the appropriate amounts of every other electrolyte as well to preserve balance. In doing this I don't think you will ever have to worry about how much salt you eat and people can stop having stupid debates about how good or bad it is for you.
Do you not realise how big the high fructose corn syrup industry is?
this
the only problem people have ever had with sodium is getting more of it than other electrolytes, or getting too many electrolytes without enough water
I see the Fructose Lobby Internet Defence Force is out and about.
why is this one of the only retarded conspiracy theories around here that i completely agree with. there's serious doctors with actual empirical evidence based on liver enzymes and inflammation markers and shit out there doing thousands of lectures but nobody cares and continues to think fat, cholesterol, and salt make us die off when it's really plant based oils and these raw sugars we pour into everything.
If you take on this mindset you better be drinking a fuck ton of water to keep kidney stones from forming.
Don't eat refined salt. Eat pink or sea salt. It actually benefits your health.
unless you have some sort of genetic predisposition to them you really have nothing to worry about. even if you do, just balance them properly and drink plenty of water, sodium itself is not ever going to cause actual health issues from what it does in your body like common misconceptions think.
Because sugar is crack-tier addictive and normies will say anything to cope.
One of my coworkers actually tried to argue that
>natural sugar is good and healthy for you, it's artificial sweeteners and hfcs that's bad
Just shook my head in disappointment and moved on. These people can't be convinced.
It really depends on your genetics, some people can go over the RDA and not have any consequences while others need to be very strict with their diet.
We all die at some point
This is a lie. The differences between consuming sea salt or rock salt for health are nonexistent in an otherwise normal diet.
Sea salt has a different texture, which can have different culinary applications and perceived saltiness but that's it. Any other minerals are in such trace amounts as to be negligible
Salt is fine in moderation. If you are exercising regularly and are consuming mostly unprocessed food you may even find you need to add more sodium to maintain your endurance
You cant /thread your own comments, newfag. You're right though.

You will have to look for the details in this study, but while it promotes less than 5g of sodium per day it shows that a balance of sodium and potassium is key.
High sodium will give you creatine like results if you’re taking in a slightly lower amount of potassium. Instead of the meme banana try something like boiled green cabbage with some salt in it.
If you eat a carnivore diet, you get all the salt you need from the meat. In a normal diet you need to add more salt, especially if you drink a lot of water.
Hey, while I’m here, can I get some advice on butter? I’ve been eating like half a stick of butter a day. Not raw (I’m not a complete degenerate) but to complement my popcorn addiction. Any thoughts on how this is affecting my health?
