I’d like to preface this with a couple of points before the inevitable screeching of LONDON, fuck off roastie and mfw thinkegn of you hurting posts (which will still come and that’s fine)
I’ve been on this website for a decade now and Jow Forums has been the reason I’ve changed my health for the better, and essentially fixed my life entirely. I came from a family of obeasts who passed on large portion sizing and untreated food intolerances so I’ve lived the majority of my existence as a fat fucking idiot, clueless about nutrition and fitness and too stupid to know where to begin. Lurking this board for years completely changed this and although it’s been inconsistent, I have always returned here for motivation, to keep up to date on latest discussion about programs, nutrition and the humour. I have a lot to be thankful for this board and I’ve always followed the rule to keep my gender to myself or look like a dumb cunt desperate for attention.
I come to you this evening (ausfag) with disregard to the above because in the last few months, my lifts have become better, my program is starting to become more involved and I’m spending the majority of my time in the “”freeweights section”” which means (especially this time of the year) sharing the space with men varying from all ages and ability levels.
I’ve seen enough “should women be allowed in the gym” threads to make me wish I’d wake up tomorrow with a cock and balls and much higher test levels but those threads never actually seem to offer advice for women who do lift, but fall into the category of not wanting to stand out or be a bother. I would like for anyone to offer advice on what they’d like to see in a woman at the gym: what general etiquette that may differ as a female compared to male in that environment and outfit that would provide maximum comfort for me and others around me. Pic related, it’s an outfit I own multiple pairs of
> [clothes that] provide maximum comfort for me and others around me Synthetic shorts and cotton t-shirt is what I wear. You don't need any more really, super comfy not so fay.

whoa thats fucking sad, bread is awesome

buy a burka roastie slut all females that go to the gym are giga whores and every single person in the gym knows that

I mean, most Jow Forumsizens are faggots anyways.

I’m not sure if Australia just has a more masculine heavy culture but wearing shorts to the gym as a woman is basically asking to be gawked at, I’m assuming that’s also uncomfortable for the people doing the gawking so I’d like to avoid it

Australia hates muslims though user, this would be worse for me.
I wear sweatpants or shorts (ones with a net lining inside) with thermoactive t-shirt or leggings with normal t-shirt. Just make sure your leggings don't stretch so much you can see pants. Don't go full thot and you'll be fine.
Adam Brooks
>if youre hot Gymshark shit >if youre fat and ugly Stay at home and dont eat
Why the fuck did you need 3 god damn paragraphs for that simple question
Can you suggest any brands that aren’t Nike for pants? I’d like to branch out but not keen to pay upwards of $100 and regret it

>what general etiquette that may differ as a female compared to male in that environment and outfit that would provide maximum comfort for me and others around me. Pic related, it’s an outfit I own multiple pairs of Ignore incel posters. There are plenty of valid criticisms to be made on the nature of women, but most of the shit you see here are just bitter incels who will hate women no matter what. Just don't dress like a total slut. And if you do don't get upset that people stare at you. That's literally all the gym etiquette you need.
why do you even take it seriously retard wear what you want do you sip between sets too?
Brody Thompson
she wont fuck you disgusting manlet faggot fuck
you can wk and deadlift for the rest of your life but youll tsill be an ugly gymcel faggot

Sweatpants you can wear whatever, I have some domestic cheap brand. I wear mens shorts from h&m that are for swimming and have a net inside which is pretty comfy

>so many girls on Jow Forums and not one has ever offered to be my gf or take my virginity Make daily >tfw no gf thread and you cold heartless whores just scroll past it...
This, but I’d add “understand and respect where you are”. It’s a gym, not a Starbucks. People are there to concentration and exercise, and not there to listen to your chatter. Use the equipment how it’s intended (no curls in the power rack). And absolutely no fucking selfies. Doesn’t just apply to women though.

>Worrying about what other people at the gym think Never gonna make it bruh. Do donkey kicks naked if thats gonna make you hit your PR. Gymcels complain about every fucking little thing. You don't get their respect by doing what they say, you get their respect by outdoing them.

>she wont fuck you disgusting manlet faggot fuck True, but atleast I haven't become a bitter faggot incel who despises all women because of it.
>what general etiquette that may differ as a female compared to male in that environment and outfit that would provide maximum comfort for me and others around me Just act like the men do but don't try to join the banter (women suck all joy out of it), just laugh and look cute instead.
Looser clothing would help draw less attention. Shorts and a T-shirt/tank top with sports bra sounds pretty inoffensive to me. With that said, your outfit is fine. It's modest and the worst thing it'll do is outline your butt. Only spergs will actually get bothered by it. Are you talking about girl shorts here? Girl shorts that show off like 90% of the leg are gonna drag lots of attention, but what harm can an inch above the knee pair of loose shorts do?
Austin White
Thanks for the heads up. I know there’s a huge robot presence on here but sometimes it’s hard to discern what’s worth listening to and what isn’t. I’ve also definitely noticed myself being stared at doing normal shit like bench pressing so I was hoping there’s an etiquette that I can follow to avoid that or even just be reassured that what I’m doing and wearing now is normal and ok.
In Australian gyms, girls have been engaging in an thot arms race for a while now. There is pretty much nothing at all that you could wear that would catch my attention, because I am so used to every variation of skin-tight clothing.
If I had to choose something where I thought "oh wow look, a woman that isn't dressed like a total whore, what a change" but that also looks nice, it would be gym shorts and a t-shirt. Something like pic related for the shorts
If you do not want people to gawk I would suggest showing no midriff. Skin tight clothing is OK but you should stay away from gym brands who emphasize your body's curves. Functional wear and hiking wear serves the same function but is better quality and not so "roastie" by having a real purpose outside of the gym.
Dylan Ramirez
Just stop giving a shit about other people in the gym. If they really have a problem with what your doing I'm sure they would say something. Slap on those headphones and get Jow Forums
Girls like men who are pleasant to women on mongolian basket-weaving forums so I think he’s good actually
I’m taking all of this in and it’s all quite close to what I’ve had in mind for how I plan to carry myself already. I’ve been noticing the gym I go to has had an influx of members over the past few years, New Years resolutionists possibly keeping it up so gym equiptment is scarce and the non-cardio room is always packed. Being smart about how I carry and present myself will aid in avoiding a potential autistic event happening (fuck knows what but I could wear the wrong shorts and rip them, sweat shows through ass etc) and if I fuck this good thing up for myself I might not make it bros
Thanks user, I have never spoken to anyone in the gym except telling the receptionist that I’ve left my keypass at home and just to buzz me in but I’ll keep that in mind.
>I’d like to preface this with a couple of points before the inevitable screeching of LONDON, fuck off roastie and mfw thinkegn of you hurting posts (which will still come and that’s fine)
Who hurt you?
Isaac Walker
unironically and if you can afford iot, lululemon.
It's pretty much top-tier in Aus, guys won't notice it but you'll clothing mog the fuck outta women or get some mires.
t. aus man who's had many gym thot ex's
Oliver Clark
Lose fitted adidas bydlo pants, sports bra, cotton t-shirt with alternatively a hoodie over if it's cold and some lifting shoes. No make-up and no real effort put into your hair. If it's long just tie it up into a tail.
If you're gonna be one of us you might as well go all the way. The reason gym thots are hated isn't as much their clothing as much as their attitude and behavior. So wear what I described and lift some heavy ass weight so your face looks like a scarlet red toad on the last reps. Don't chase sexual attention, but work hard and earn through that what few women throughout history has ever earned: Male respect.
Adam Walker
I’ve lurked here for years, nothing hurts anymore
Thanks for the suggestion but I’m weary of Lululemon for the exact reason that your ex gym thot gfs wore it, from the outside seems like I could get same functionality tights or bras for cheaper without the loud patterns and skimpy tops. I’ll admit I haven’t looked into it much so will do, thanks user
Don't fucking use the bench press for ab exercises. This just happened to me on Friday, some cunt saw I was benching and without even fucking asking me if she could work in, took her skinnyfat bitch body and started doing ab exercises and other dumb meme shit when I stood up to get a sip of water.
That's really the most infuriating shit I've seen women do at the gym. Every single fucking time without fail they go up to the fucking bench press to do their retarded crunch variations along with the occasional retard that uses the bench for dips and they do like 5 fucking different exercises of that crap in the 15-20 rep range. The only other thing that has made my blood boil so much was seeing retarded fags use the squat rack to do curls.
In general just common gym etiquette. Rerack your weights, don't be a douche that mixes plates of different weights at the racks, wipe your shit and don't hog different pieces of equipment all at once because you're a jackass that wants to do "circuit training".
Dylan Green
>I’ve also definitely noticed myself being stared at doing normal shit like bench maybe they mirin
>I’ve also definitely noticed myself being stared at doing normal shit like bench pressing so I was hoping there’s an etiquette that I can follow to avoid that or even just be reassured that what I’m doing and wearing now is normal and ok. I sometimes look at women bench simply because I'm curious how much they are actually able to bench. Actually now that I think about it I pretty much look at everyone doing any lift, silently judging their form and weight they're using, trying to spot if they actually know what the fuck they're doing or are just sunday lifters
don't think too much of it, and nothing you do can really stop it either. The gym is a pretty small place and people need to look somewhere, often times that's other people
Angel Russell
Do you mean these? Came up when I googled it. It’s currenly middle of 40 degree summer here in Aus but I’m very keen to get an outfit like you described for winter lifts. Never wear makeup to the gym and my hair is always pulled up. Thanks for the encouragement, I know exactly what you mean by the attitude and behaviour. Left the gym yesterday and passed the pec dec and saw a very thin, late twenties woman doing lowest weight single arm reverse flys, sitting with a very curved back and wearing a fluro pink two piece short and strapped bra combo, coupled with a huge shitty back tattoo. Kind of inspired this thread really. I wanted to have nothing to do with that person and didn’t want to be lumped in with that blatant thottery
Sorry you had to deal with that. Surely she could have just done some fucking ab circuit on the floor? I have a very stripped back split routine (chest/shoulders, legs, back/bicep) throughout the week so you wouldn’t catch me dead doing meme band dumbbell shit so rest assured at least one of us aren’t doing that in gyms
1. Don't say hello to me, don't even aknowledge my existence and don't force me to aknowledge yours. 2. Preferably stay out of free weights because look at sentence number 1. 3. Don't come anywhere near me if possible. 4. Seriously stay away. Girls are scary. As long as you follow these I couldn't care less. Once a girl said hello to me at the gym and the trauma is still there, haunting me at nights sometimes. Don't do that.
Actually now that I think about it I pretty much look at everyone doing any lift
Same here, though mostly just for compound lifts. I will absolutely every single time look at anyone who is attempting to do either squats or deadlifts because I am 99% certain they will fuck it up somehow. I have twice in my life seen someone do proper squats, have never seen do an actual deadlift though. Usually I've only seen people do shitty form Romanian DLs with bouncing weight off the floor and rounded ass backs as well as hyperextending the shit out of their hips at lockout.
Mostly though I love to watch girls trying to squat with shit weight and about 1/4th ROM and then completely mog the fuck outta them with my superior glutes and legs doing ATG squats.
The biggest problem is that pretty much any gym you go to has areas specifically dedicated for ab exercises, even free benches if you wanna go and do some other meme shit but without fail for some fucking reason they always go for the bench press. Imagine my rage as I'm working up to 2.5pl8 bench and suddenly some absolute bitch steals the bench for 5 minutes to do fucking crunches and leg raises when just a few steps away there's equipment specifically for that
Elijah Powell
Seems all you've got left then is having "call me maybe" on repeat while you look down at the floor awkwardly going from exercise to exercise.
Don't become fit. Become Jow Forums.
As far as serious advice. For aussie fried alive temps either T-shirts or a jersey that isn't too tacky and some knee length shorts. Kick boxing or similar shorts could work well since they generally fit well and allow good movement. Just don't wear anything too flashy.
Jason Sanders
>1. Don't say hello to me, don't even aknowledge my existence and don't force me to aknowledge yours.
I make it top priority to never make eye contact with anyone in the gym, not even the people that work there (scared they’ll start talking to me and then make a habit of it, seen it happen to other women who dare touch a barbell), can’t tell if it’s the best thing I can do or autistic as fuck
Caleb Bailey
Please don't reply to my posts. See the point I made in sentence number 1.
Ayden White
>Those shorts aren't slutty attire Jesus Christ how deep does the rabbit hole go? Fuck lifting in Australia
Ryan Sanders
This is literally what I wear all the time because it gives my balls room to breathe during squats. Regardless of whether you're male or female though you wanna make sure the fabric on the sweatpants you get is fairly thin and loose as well as soft. Don't really know how to describe it, but basically you don't want the classic running sweatpants because you're gonna have flexibility issues for any kind of leg work. Plus those sweatpants tend to be on the heavier side and they're nowhere near as comfy
Of course there's the classic leggings that just hug your ass and legs, as well as the yoga shorts variations (which I use myself to go run, idgaf because if women can wear that shit why wouldn't I) but that's up to you and IMO they're still not as comfy as the pants I describe. Bonus points if they have those pockets with zips so that you can put your phone if you use it for music.
Eli Bennett
Is it bad etiquette to tell someone there’s somewhere else they could be doing an an exercise? I’d assume you’ve been paying for the membership longer than they have so you’d have more of a right to use benches for their intended fucking purpose. Just quiz the next person who asks you to work in what they plan to do with it before you agree and throw a dumbbell at them if the answer is wrong
>look down at the floor Fuck you have me pinned. I only listen exclusively to anime op songs and system of a down when I lift because nothing else pumps me up enough since I stopped drinking coffee, think I’m retarded
Well the thing is that gym etiquette can be very subjective, all depending on a ton of factors like your relationship with the gym staff, your time lifting, your overall physical apperance because people judge what you say about fitness based on that, your actual social skills and charisma, gym policies, age, gender, etc.
I normally don't really say shit but it's super fucking tough to deal with women who act like cunts. If some guy is being retarded I just look at them like I'm about to snap their neck and they generally get the idea. Women usually don't do this because the ones who act retarded in the way I described are so fucking self absorbed that they just don't care because they know you ain't gonna do shit about it. Let's face it, you're not gonna risk losing your gym membership over some dumb cunt saying you were mean to her or whatever. So she knows she can do her stupid shit and invade your personal space and just not give a fuck about etiquette because she can always play the "well I pay for access to the equipment too" and nobody's gonna tell her she's acting like a cunt because a) she's a client and b) she's a woman. Even if the gym staff takes your side when no one's listening and probably most other gym patrons would also take your side.
Fortunately most women at the gym just mind their own business and probably the dumbest shit they do is just mixing plates, but the ones that do get in your way holy shit it's fucking infurating
Logan Rivera
Honestly just wear regular clothing that isn't super tight if you want to not be noticed and that's all - most people on Jow Forums are scared of women so you're gonna get a biased opinion. If a girl was in the free weight section lifting decent weight I'd not think twice about it.
Juan Gutierrez
Better than being a white knightting cuck
David Baker
Theoretically, if you had sex with a dog (and smell wasn't a factor) would you take the knot if you know nobody would ever find out?
Honestly just work hard and nobody will have a problem with you, there's a girl in my gym that wears pretty much like in your picture, no makeup and trains with me and the other powerlifters in the free weights section. She's serious about her training and she made friends with everyone, pretty nice person. Seriously, the only thing you have to do if you want to be accepted by the people that are serious about their training is doing the same thing. Godspeed, femanon.
Jeremiah Collins
In short, wear what the men are wearing. Don't show ass or camel toe, wear something loose that covers 50-100% of your legs, sweatpants or mens basketball shorts. For the top, really just don't wear only a sports bra. The idea is that in wearing loose fitting clothing you will not show with definition every crease and curve on your body from your ankles to your pussy and you may start to resemble a modest and respectable person.
It is an anonymous image board. But you are not an anonymous. Please connect the dots. Thank you for your understanding, in advance.

Thanks for the advice Jow Forums, it’s getting late here and I’m getting comfy so I’ll take all the advice with me to the gym early tomorrow and get ungodly gains while hopefully being respectful to other gym members and not coming across as a complete whore. I will do you all proud
I wish I could tell you that you’ll definitely find someone eventually but you’re probably tired of hearing that user. I wish you happiness in any form regardless. don’t feel lonely, you have all of us

Your post reeks of insecurity lol. Always remember most of fit posters are dyel virgins. Don't be ashamed to be a women, especially not at the gym. Just wear something comfy and not sluty. Also change your shoes, those will ruin your ankles if you lift (squat, stuff like that).
Julian Brooks
How have we come to a point in time where people have to be told not to go out in public spaces in what is essentially underwear?
Henry Moore
flat feet are best for lifting, her shoes are fine

Great, another attention whore who knows perfectly well how to dress at the gym to not be a whore and will not take any of the advice here on-board because she was merely fishing for attention and every single one of you cocksuckers here fell for it.
Kindly get the fuck out, slut, your kind are not welcome. Ever.

Wheat is actually toxic for the human gut and the (((multibillion dollar wheat farming industry))) lobbies to rig the food pyramid to trick goyim like you and me to think that it's healthy. Quitting bread and wheat products was the best thing I ever did for my overall health.
