Nootropics? Red pill me

Attached: 1543311994133.png (300x368, 220K)

Caffeine + L-theanine, proven to work and safe.

Ritalin / adderal for short periods of time.
Hard to get tho

Substances that may increase cognitive function

I've been on a stack of Caffeine+L-Theanine/Alpha GPC/Piracatam and the occasional Phenibut for a year or so now. Works for me

I've heard modafinil is damn good. It has a very rare side effect that can be life threatening though (maybe 1% of people), not worth the risk for me.

Personally I use:
Gotu Kola
Tulsi
Lion's mane
Turmeric + Black Pepper
MCT oil when fasting
Basic cardio 20 min
Meditation

This shit right here is better than coffee.

>Turmeric+black pepper
That sounds stupid. Those are fucking condiments.

Anyone tried modafinil? Is it safe to take everyday ?

Alpha-GPC and caffeine, any product I’ve had with both of those worked great. Choline bitartate works well too, and Lions Mane seems promising

You sound stupid.

I'd recommend rotating nootropics every 1-2 weeks.
I personally will take a few nontoxic herbs daily for the rest of my life, while rotating one of the stronger supplements.

most are a meme and they work better the healthier you are, I've tried a lot of them and the only one that seems worth it is microdosing lsd for focus but thing that enhance brain function more than almost everything else
>good sleep
>exercise (mixture of weight lifting and cardio)
>good diet (including omega 3s)

Discipline

Isn't Alpha GPC used on people with dementia though?

Microdosing is an absolute meme for hippies who want to feel more spiritual than the people who abuse actual effective drugs for productivity like adderall. It irks me to think how much good lsd has been wasted from some wanker trying to reach corporate enlightenement through planning out some cycle of micro-psychedelic experiences.

microdosing doesn't have any psychoactive effects and it's fairly well documented to help with focus also
>adderall effect for productivity
it lowers cognition and memory all it does is enhance focus whilst making your actual output get worse, adderall and lsd enhance focus in the same way, through stimulation and changing perception of time, difference is the lsd won't make you dumber you couldn't have picked a worse drug to compare

You sound like you need another bump bro

you know you don't snort lsd right? also I don't even microdose, I don't think a bit of extra productivity is worth taking drugs on a regular basis

Eh didn’t know bump meant snort oh well. I haven’t read anything besides anecdotal experiences about microdosing, last time I saw anything about it there was zero research to support any effects. I am almost certain anyone who says microdosing has done a thing for them are people who have had powerful trips before and now just think it’s some miracle drug and there is a strong placebo there. It probably does work but only because they think it does.

yeah agree that a lot of benefits are placebo but the two proven ones are lsd for focus and microdosing shrooms for depression but I think some level of bias will always be involved in it I mean people are very quick to dismiss microdosing without looking at the research because of bias and people who like the drug are quick to hail it as a miracle drug, same sort of thing happens with weed most people are biased and either think it's just for losers and druggies and has no benefit or people think it'll cure everything seems to be very few people in the middle ground when it comes to drugs

caffeine and nicotine have been fairly well studied and it's pretty much agreed they enhance focus and cognition(at least nicotine does)
cigarettes and vapes are absolute death tho, but i wonder if nicotine patches would work and avoid the negative side effects or smoking/vaping

Why are vapes death tho? As far as I can see they aren’t linked to any negative health implications?

Not the user you’re responding to, but ever since I quit juuling I haven’t been nearly as out of breath. I really do think junking/vaping is still bad for your lungs, which in turn would impact your workout, however if it’s finals week and you’re not working out regardless, then it may be okay.

I found it exhausting/made me a shut in + there's something resembling a comedown if you stop taking it for a few days. Half a pill 2-3 Times per week instead of coffee / to break the routine is the optimal solution

>As far as I can see they aren’t linked to any negative health implications?
most liquids are unregulated and most haven't been FDA approved for anything more than oral consumption, not vaping in fact popcorn lung seems to be a common one, plus most are high in sugar and have nicotine - it's similar to when cigarettes first came out, companies could claim it isn't bad for you because there was no proof it is however a lack of proof it's bad for you doesn't make it good for you, no way to know yet but the biggest factors seem to be the juice you use and vape you use, probably better for you than smoking but incredibly unlikely it's neutral for you

there's a big difference between focus and cognition.
it doesn't matter though, because caffeine and nicotine (like most drugs) induce physiological adaptations that make you dependent on the them.

The life threatening risk in modafinil is the exact same as in ibuprofen. It's a lot less than 1% but does have the potential to kill.
