It is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Don't know what country you're in but if it is America or "the west" go to a Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) parish. Stay away from Greeks, they're cucked. Romanians, Serbs, Bulgarians etc are all decent but have little presence outside of their homelands. It is useless to try and explain Orthoodxy without experiencing it. The Divine Liturgy and participation in the sacraments, should you decide to join the church, are as important as theological knowledge. If you really want to learn a bit before going to a parish the listen to some Jay Dyer talks on youtube, get an Orthodox study bible which has excellent notes, and maybe read some intro level books. Met. Kallistos Ware, who is bit cucked desu, has two books, The Orthodox Way and The Orthodox Church, which aren't too bad at explaining the basics. Read some Lossky after Ware though for the real meat. Seriously go to church though. A priest will explain this better than anyone here

Depends what you mean by substantial. The priest will give a homily which will be about 10-20 minutes at the very end of the liturgy, so quite a bit less than most protestant styles of church service. Most parishes will have catechism classes for potential converts which is where the substantial theology and philosophy will come in. You almost certainly will not get this at the homily though.

No. I used to believe but these days I see no reasonable evidence for or against the existence of a deity. I can’t accept that the universe came from nothing (neither can physicists), so I guess I’m somewhat of a curious agnostic. Pascal’s wager motivates me. If there are gods, and if I live a just and virtuous life perhaps the gods will reward me. If they are malevolent, then I can’t do anything about it anyway, why worry?

That’s not to say I don’t take comfort and hope from the Bible. I definitely believe that humans are born with a sinful nature, that divinity is unattainable. As for whether or not Jesus is the way as he says he is, I don’t know.

Meditation or some kind of “mindfulness” routine will do wonders. It helped to calm the unending line of thoughts in my head.

Yeah it has. I hit rock bottom last year nothing super bad just kinda sad "yeah I'm done." I gave my life completely to God realized as i learned more and listened more about the bible I am his beloved son and things have turned out pretty well. Stopped caring about porn and realized just yesterday how much time I wasted looking for vids, then jacking it.

The gym is easier now after I realized as he is so am I so his strength makes me gains easily now and I've actually seen a big transformation in my body after all this.

Yeah, Orthodoxy is as authentic as it gets. If there are any monasteries near you, go and talk to the monks. Authenticity doesn't even begin to describe their lifestyles. One of the things that makes Orthodoxy more attractive to men especially I think, is that it is really and truly demanding. All the protestant churches I've been to have been content to sing some happy songs and for the pastor to tell everyone that they are saved and not to worry about things. Orthodoxy is the opposite. The Liturgy is hard to get through at first (no sitting) the prayer rule you follow should always challenge you and keep you struggling, the neccesity for constant confession and penance etc. All of it make sure that your faith is active and virile, unlike so many other churches which allow you to stagnate. It's pretty late where I am so I'm gonig to bed now. Good luck in finding a decent church near you. God bless, user

So no, God the Father is not a black man in Orthodoxy, God the Father preceedes race so it doesn't make sense to depict him as any race.
