Yea, that's not too bad. I experienced about the same thing with a rock and also got 4 stitches. It was hardly noticeable after a few days, although my hair won't grow there anymore. Apparently I got a tiny mark in my skull that was visible on medical imaging for at least some time afterwards though. Check if you got one too if you have the chance.

Ok, since this is a pain thread. On push days I feel a weird pinching in my left elbow. It's not painful, more like feels full, like something is pressing on the tendon. Almost like that feeling in your neck when you're about to crack it after a long day. I've had bursitis there a few years back, but nothing since I started working out.
It doesn't last either, doing rope pull downs seems to have stopped the feeling. What was that?

Had something similar happen at fighter practice for my larp. We used the European model and used a lot of full contact weapons combat. We used foam swords with fiberglass cores (Calimacil) and unfortunately someone didn't weapon check and a guy with a claymore had a busted up weapon. The core snapped and about 6 inches of the tip hung loose by the foam. During a capture the flag exercise we got into it and he knocked my head pretty good. At first I didn't feel anything, then I felt the blood, then I felt the pain. I ended up with 3 internal stitches and 7 staples. I have a 2 1/2 inch scar in the side of my head just above my ear.

Blood was everywhere on the field around me. Our photographer was there that day and got some sick shots of it. I threw my ax down so I could compress the laceration, and it ended up getting hit with some blood. She used those pics for the site banner.

Do you think, this might affect your lifting from a psychological point of view? Or will you just be like 'fuck it where was i again' and continue from where you left off?

She asked for permission before she used them, I thought it was kind cool. We've had people break bones and such before so this wasn't too far out of the realm of normality for us. I wasn't to upset by the incident. I had insurance so I only had to pay a couple of copays. The guy felt terrible and bought me a giant cake. Because of the incident they made a little safety committee so designated members could safety check everything. From weapons to props all the way down to tents and such. And I got a sick scar from it. I cut my hair short if I feel like having the 'LEWK' and grow it out when I get tired of it.
