CONFESS

Attached: 1538447804670.png (1229x1160, 58K)

Diet has been awful past few days.
Grandma died so life is just kinda getting at me.

feel the whoosh babeeeeeh

Attached: wnw4ca83paxx.jpg (1600x900, 248K)

I've only lost 0.3kg over the last week, feels kinda bad even though its still the right direction.

It's alright. It's ok to take a break, just make sure to get back on the horse when you're ready.

dont need to :)

previous breadpudding

I need to start measuring physical progress now, I've been at gym since October, and mentally I feel the best I've been in years, I go every night excluding weekends, and I cherish that hour after work when I can just be by myself and put in effort lifting and running. I can actually feel myself more in control of my emotions and thoughts now, where before I was pessimistic and hopeless, now I feel I can have a future if I stick to it, an optimistic feeling that it isn't over yet.

In saying that, my diet has still been average, and I feel like I've lost barely any weight since I started, don't think anyone's even noticed. I know years of laziness isn't fixed overnight, but I crave that first 'have you lost weight?' comment, gonna be a good day when that happens.

Gonna start counting calories, maybe buy a food scale when I can afford it in the next few weeks, and move off SS onto a workout plan that maybe has me spending 2 hours at gym a night. Any recommendations?

Thank you.

>lose 5 pounds
>this is the first real sign of progress! I know, let's celebrate with a treat!
>well if I've had some already I'll just have today be a chest day
>in a day and a half already gained it back and probably more

I know this is a beginner's mistake but it's my first time trying to lose weight

not the other guy, but dont fall off the wagon completely, make your granny proud user.

Did 30 min of weight lifting and 30 minutes walking at incline on the treadmill today while fasted for 19ish hours. Now passed into the 24 hour mark and still going strong. Will be weak tomorrow but hoping for a big scale drop.

Cheat day

I'm overweight and I need to do something about it if I want my life to improve.

Your biggest enemy is not gonna be the scale, it's that voice in your head that's gonna tell you that bullshit.

And I know you won't listen because I didn't when I started but.

>Figure out a way for you to be able to do this long term.
> Don't diet to the point where you starve yourself, you'll just binge harder when you get the chance.
> You don't have good mindset yet, you don't have systems figured out. It will take some bumps. Expect this, don't be discouraged by it.
> Continue reading, educating yourself on it

> This is a marathon, not a race. Let's say you lose whatever amount of pounds you want. Now what? Now I can stop dieting and finally be happy, right?
> If you do this, you will eventually go straight back to where you were, ie. the yoyo effect. It's real, it happened to me, hence why I'm telling you to fix your mindset too, not just your weight.
>Develop a system that lets you do this long term. Example, you allow yourself to eat more from time to time. This means you will lose less per month (instead of 10 pounds, you will lose 8, example).
>But you will be able to do it without a hitch because you won't get strong cravings if you just went full on DIET NEVER EATING SUGAR AGAIN

And just a reminder, when you start, most of the weight is water weight so don't get too gun ho about it and then be disappointed when the rate of weight loss falls off.

And also, don't be discouraged by daily fluctuations of weight, just average it by week and if it's going down you're doing gut.

And again, even if you "fuck up", chalk it up, move on and continue as nothing happened, don't double down, just move on.

Also read sticky if you haven't yet. And then read it again.

Good luck.

Thnx nig

>forgot to weigh my self in the morning

slowly making it lads. i'm surprised i'm losing when i started lifting again recently, only 16 lbs till healthy bmi.

hey /fat/ I've been here since Christmas of 2017 and I'm down 85lbs. Sitting at 220 right now. Still have a long way to go yet, but I feel really good about my progress. Alongside the physical gains, mental gains are huge. Finally out of my decade long depression slump.

Hoping I can inspire some of you New Years resolutioners to actually stick with it and lose some weight. It's worth it. Eat that chicken breast, lift those weights, /nightwalk/, whatever you need to do. Work on being the best version of yourself that you can be. You got this.

I ate ice cream today. It was extremely delicious. I think I just barely came in under maintence, but I had some homemade food that I couldn't accurately count.

How do you accomplish so little in so much time?
I'm not mocking you at all, I'm being sincere. My issue is that I go hard and fast, smash my goal, keep going then eventually burn out and yoyo.
Any tips?

13 months was quite a bit of time to lose the weight, especially considering I was turbofat at 305lbs. I bet if I was really disciplined and stayed away from the occasional fast food binges and drunken fun times with friends I could have been at 200lbs by now. I walked every day that I could (less walking in winter months), aimed to eat under 1800 calories each day (some days were closer to 1200-1500 range), and I've been lifting weights for the past 4 months, 3 days a week.

Do something sustainable. You don't need to have a soldier's discipline, but you need to have some. Go have some beers with the guys, but don't do it every weekend, and try to stay under your TDEE when you do so you don't lose progress, you only stall for a day.

Quads of good advice

ate chips and two wraps for dinner

i seriously need a gameplan for when I'm back at 160 because I never know how to move on from there

Yea my friends grandpa died 6+ months ago then he stopped going to the gym or at least rarely after going 5-6 days a week for a year straight just starting.

I used to have the same problem as well until I watched this dude on a Joe Rogan clip.

My sister made pasta and garlic bread, it smelled really good but I resisted.

I've lost about 70 lbs and now I've been stuck at 180 lbs for the last 2 1/2 months. My goal for last year was to only get to 200 lbs. so I think a lot of reason why I'm stalling on the last little bit is because I exceeded what I planned on. I'd like to get rid of this guy before I start building muscle, but maybe it'll be easier to get to a lower bf% if I bulk now and then cut later.

Can you overdose on onion (not le memebeen, actual onions)?

Make a stew with a hell of a lot of them and my guts have been in chaos all day since

Day 23 of zero carb done
Day 24 starts now

I'm sure you're not having an onion overdose. Your guts just didn't agree with something in that stew. It could be the onions or literally anything else you ate since then.

/swimbro/ here.
I figured out that ketostix are kind of shit and my body is using ketones instead of pissing them out so i panicked for nothing. I put on my old leather jacket today and it actually fit.

Ate two sugar free chocolates today and spent my night in the bathroom shitting.

>worth it

Officially down 26 lbs today. Four more to 30.

Current weight is 207 lbs

Love you guys.

daily reminder that permanent weight loss maintained for over 5 years is 5%. You’re all gonna be your tubby little selves until you can afford bariatric surgery, and successfully lose weight like a scientifically literate person.

I just realized something. Those days where you would just gobble KFC and then a few hours later gobble ice cream was a sin. Those days spent sitting in your bed playing video games were a sin. The suffering of weight loss is the required penance for your gluttony and your sloth.

but how's the swimming

cope harder

Its been full since /newyears/, waiting for it to die down. Been restricting my calories to an almost exhausting amount because of it. Only had two meals today and a diet drink.

Will probably take a peek again next week to see how busy the lanes are again.

might as well do 16-8 IF since you're eating two meals a day already right now.

Man getting cancer doesn't sound that bad....

Fucking sure I'm sure all the kemo and shit would be pretty damn bad for about a year but hell you lose alot of weight and everyone would be super happy and proud that you beat cancer.

It's just a thought.....

Use a tracker, track EVERYTHING, and a good place to start is adding is a dynamic warm up, light cardio and at the end static stretching. Writing it all out in advance makes it helpful.

Also eat protien, make the majority of your calories be protien based.

Chemo is MORE painful than working out dumbass. No excuses.

I don't believe in god or karma or any other comfylie, yet I am 100% certain people like you get the worst stomach/bone/eye cancer and die slowly. C'mon senpai the willpower to beat cancer is so much lower than losing some fat. People will be proud of you looking better and being healthier.

I fucking hate this sugar addiction. For fucks sake, fuck off already

Sugar is shit though. Most carvings come from that sweet devil.

I have thoughts of eating all the pastries and chips we have in the house

Fuck me guys how do I stop making my mind think about food? Every night I just can't help thinking about what I'm going to eat tomorrow and after I'm done eating my mind starts thinking about that as well.

I lost 2,5 kgs from New Year's until this morning

user kun, real girl here. you can lose weight. you can become the person you imagined yourself to be as a kid. you can do it. and once you've lost weight, you'll feel better about yourself, about life. you'll be proud of what you did. i believe in you.

>173lbs
>was 161.4lbs on my last cut 2 months back
>Doing a 1 week hard dry fast during my off time from work to make it happen once and for all
>Extremely pissed off all the time while on the fast, and family keeps offering me food and asking if I want pizza or anything

So this is how murderers are born, eh?

I fucking hate winter more than anything.

Attached: 1512062047188.jpg (480x360, 34K)

Stay at what you're doing. user-kun. i believe you can make it, stay on fit and become the glorious man you were meant to be.

i kinda feel like spicy food is the silver bullet secret to weight loss. load your meals up with chili and not only are you forced to eat slowly but i also gulp down a ton of cold water which helps fill me up

only downside is a lack of variety, i'd like to do more curries but most have some kind of cream base to the sauce

One study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association followed more than 16,000
people who underwent bariatric surgery and found that 4.6 percent
died within a year. (Men had higher death rates than women: 7.5
percent versus 3.7 percent.)

The largest examination of mortality rates following bariatric
surgery found chilling results: nearly 3% of the patients died after
the first year and 6.4% at the end of the fourth year. Of those who
had surgery in 1995 and had at least 9 years of follow-up, 13.0%
had died. Of those who had the surgery in 1996 and 8 years of follow-up, 15.8% had died, and of those who had surgery in 1997 with
7 years of follow-up, 10.5% had died. Sandy Swarzc, on the Junkfood Science blog, compared these rates to the U.S. National Center
for Health Statistics of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data, matching Americans of the same age and BMI and concludes: “By best estimates, bariatric surgeries likely increase the
actual mortality risks for these patients by 7-fold in the first year and
by 363% to 250% the first four years."

This is a bandage imo

does anyone actually know food that helps burning fat? i heard pineapple does it but is there more?

wtf

Good morning anons! Here is to another day of losing weight and getting closer to our goals! What are you gonna do when you reach your weight goal? I'm gonna finally purchase a motorcycle. Only 20 pounds to go! Remember, WE ARE ALL GOING MAKE IT!

No food has a metabolic effect that is so great it will burn more calories than the addition of the food would net out. The effects are too minuscule. Chili peppers for example was shown to have a metabolic effect. Cayenne pepper burned 2 calories extra for the next five hours after consumption. 10 calories total. You're running away from the problem which is to eat less not look for more food to eat.

i was planning to it that stuff INSTEAD, not additionally im overweight not fucking stupid

Oh if that's the case just eat 2000 calories of Jalapenos a day.

Poor fucking guy. Only 34, I doubt he will experience his 40th birthday. His father should be shot for enabling him. It's stuff like this that motivates me, how easy it is to gain so much. I always thought it was fucking difficult until I, during a particularly shitty period of my life, surged up almost 90 lbs in a matter of months. I've since lost half of that, but I could easily have gone the other way. Before you know it you're immobilized and your life is over.

So yeah, be careful my dudes.

How do I kick the crankiness and fogginess I've had for a couple days since starting? Work just started today and already I snapped at my boss.

made my mouth water

How much would that burn?

Maybe 40. Drinking ice water would burn more.

His weight doesn't scare me, it's his mindset. How he's somehow content with playing CoD daily and rotting while his one and only life is flushed down the drain forever. Jesus

>His father should be shot for enabling him
wouldn't make a difference, there was no helping him.
These people are very good at manipulating and will do just about anything to get what they want, exploiting all the weaknesses that they know.

Whether he died of heart failure or by drinking bleach to coerce his father, it was always going to end badly.
Only the father gets to choose how much guilt he has to endure.

Shits weird man
My sugar addiction is almost fully healed
Colors seem brighter? Music sounds better? Shits cool

I've lost a little over 6 and a half pounds in 3 weeks eating 2300cal a day and took a week off lifting and drank a bunch of whiskey vodka beer and ate mcdonalds and binged on new years because fuck it and i didn't cheat at all, cut down to 1850 3ish days ago and that's where i lost 0.5lbs

not hungry, do have cravings sometimes and i'll admit ocasionally i'll stick my finger in a can of sweetened condensed milk and get a nice little taste of that or if there's like 5-6 chips left in a bag i'll down that but still making progress quickly, those cravings are getting less and less the more i optimize my diet, so far the best that's working for me is:

-5 boiled eggs + 1/2 cup oats and 150ml whole milk blended together with cinammon + 1 tsp sugar and a small tangerine
-large tangerine
-300g chicken breast made with half a tsp of oil + 200g boiled broccoli
-another 300g chicken breast made with half a tsp oil + 200g boiled broccoli

constantly sip plain green tea with mint throughout the day as well as diet pepsi usually with my meals and have chamomile tea wit mint before bed. If i'm extremely hungry I'll just eat another tangerine. I think the trick to make things not feel as bad is to heavily season your eggs chicken and broccoli, i like to throw salt pepper garlic powder and onion powder on my eggs, maybe some curry as well sometimes, and salt pepper deheydrated onion slices garlic powder cumin and lemon juice on my chicken breast, just salt pepper and garlic powder for my boiled broccoli, sometimes i'll alternate and go with salt pepper garlic powder onion powder turmeric curcumin curry powder and chili flakes for the chicken, and if i'm really getting tired of it i'll stir fry the boccoli and chicken together with just a little bit of green onion and onions sauce vinegar and a hint of sugar, throw the usual salt pepper garlic and onion ontop and dig in

Attached: 1502814198342.png (1349x695, 78K)

if you make yourself constantly hungry then you just adapt to it

...
not saying it's a good idea, just an observation

>celebrate with a treat
are you a dog?

dogs don't celebrate christmas
or have birthday cake
or go trick or treating

How heavy are you anime user?

What are useful (legal) supplements for weight loss?

That's why restricting the amount of time or times I can eat in a day works for me. I can deal with hunger. I can't deal with eating six tortilla chips a day even spaced out in 2 hour increments.

You still go trick or treating?

Tongkat Ali if you fast for a portion of the day after you take it.

how did you make that leap

How long did you not eat sugar?

Leg press faggot here

I went to gym again for just about 30 or 45 minutes. A couple went in right before me then left like 20 minutes later. Felt kinda good, like I was beating them. Also found out I could legpress 260lbs. Might go for all the weight possible on the machine. Will let you all know next time :)

I would love to have a 'Za right about now. But I will just sip on water.

Today is the 24th day. Not a single crystal of refined sugar. I'm guessing I'll be fully free of the shackles of sugar addiction by day 30.

You should try it if you're wondering. Sugar addiction is awful.

It's true though. I accidentally started fasting when I took a factory job with 12 hour shifts, and didn't want to eat at work. Kinda sucked at first, but I don't really get hungry anymore, just eat when I think I should.

I started New Years, thanks for the motivation.

It's a meme.
