while the breadbasket of the world, the US, has lost around half it's precious top soil to the ocean since the beginning of intensive farming there's still at least a century left of production, albeit at reduced yields, it's the increase in meridional circulation patterns, such as the Beast from the East and the current ones over Europe now in this ever deeping solar minimum that are increasing food prices year on year till food prices themselves begin to take up over 50% of peoples budget in the next decade that people will realise our doom.

got 2 boxes to keep different kinds of veggies in, learning something new and helpful about it every year (this is 3rd year I will be doing it), farming is really comfy, at the very least at this scale
might plant some nettles to REALLY get the permaculture going next year desu, that would be so nice

also got a book on farming this winter, reading it during spring to get my farming hype back up again :)

Honestly I may as well be. I have a similar personality and a bat would be one of my go to weapons. I wouldn’t wanna be a “bad” began necessarily but I’d take what I wanted and kill off anyone I needed too if it meant survival

This is my favorite channel on youtube. This guy has a permaculture nursery, turned almost every inch of his lawn into production for food or useful shit, and has his chickens make compost that he uses for all of his crops.
