Sleep Health

Bros no matter what I try I'm always waking up in the middle of the night and having trouble going to sleep
I'm already taking melatonin and a tablespoon of honey before bed
What do?

Valeriana worked for me mang.

have you tried magnesium glycinate? It's pretty cheap and works decently.

Thank you bros I'll look into these

Zinc magnesium

are you limiting screen exposure to no later than an hour before bed?

also, try doing something relaxing right before you sleep. i find reading a book and praying to help tremendously. get yourself in a calm state of mind, so you don't have restless thoughts.

Glycinate zinc

Does this really help that much?

the screen exposure thing is pure science. the white light from the screen tricks your brain into staying active. your body secretes melatonin naturally when the sun goes down and it gets dark. looking at your phone in bed or your laptop fools your brain into thinking it's still daytime.

Thank you bro and nice quints

Yes. Stop using screens atleast 90 min before sleep. Or use a red filter.

thanks. forgot to mention limiting caffeine intake past noon. if you are a heavy coffee drinker that stuff can linger into the night

Will do!

Also black out your room. Cover/turn off any electronics with lights. Use blackout curtains. If you can see your hands it's too bright

Why are you eating sugar before going to bed?

Honey is different than sugar, someone said it'll help me not wake up

I'm trying to fix my sleep schedule, but keep messing up. I try to get 7 hours of sleep and keep sleeping 8 to 9 hours.

I suffer from the same thing periodically (and I'm currently going through it again)

For me, it happens from overtaxing my CNS. A week long deload makes me sleep like a corpse by the end of it, and then I will be good for like 8 weeks max, which is usually the time in which my sleep gets fucked up from something, causing me to get back into the cycle of under recovering/over training

Jesus man stop drinking coffee if u cant sleep, should have been the first shit you did hurr maybe the stims is keeping me awake ?

Yeah I know I stopped drinking it after noon

Same, i subconsciously turn off my alarm and can't remember doing so and i end up sleeping at least one more hour

Use the Alarmy app, my dudes. My alarm won't turn off unless I go downstairs into my bathroom, turn the light on and take a picture of a framed painting on the wall. It is the single most effective thing in keeping me from sleeping in.

Remove your TV laptop and phone from your room. No screens at all and don't use them for 2 hours before bed.

or just place your phone on the other end of the room?
Phone has no place on your bedside anyway.

check the temperature of your room, too hot can wake you up. also, caffeine, sugar and bright lights like erryone else said. I also dont drink anything an hour or so before bed so i dont need to pee pee

8hr is recommended anyway (for adults). Why live with the sleepy gains goblin
