Goodbye Gains

>At the Marine recruit station
>"Alright recruits time to do some pullups."
>"Heh, be amazed everyone, I can do 20!"
>Do 20
>Everything becomes a blur
I was out for 10 days, I died for six minutes, they put a fucking defibrillator in my heart and I can't move my left arm.
Is all hope lost for me?

Sounds like a freak cardiac incident. You were lucky, a kid died on the track at my school meet because his heart beat incorrectly and went into Vfib. You should recover fine, but listen to your doctor.

Interesting. I'm only 19 how am I supposed to live with this?

lole

IT'S NOT FUNNY

you're right, it's fucking hilarious.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH

Great thread op, 5 minutes later I’m still looking for my sides

>Is all hope lost for me?
I think I saw you on /k last night my dude.

It could be worse, this could have happened in England, where they'll starve you to death because of some incompetent Paki doctor. Your life is not over, it will get better. Talk to your doctors and figure out what kind of exercise you can still do.

Yeah I was there in /meg/. I'll have to ask my doctor if I'm reliant on heart medication forever.

what is your weight/height?

I think I may have lost a few pounds in the hospital. Last I checked 5'9 165.

>I'll have to ask my doctor if I'm reliant on heart medication forever.

Even if this is true, its not a death sentence. Just be smart and avoid situations involving exposed wiring and or other sources of electric shock and you'll probably be fine. Plenty of people live normal lives with pacemakers.

>be Marine
>enemy troops spotted, get into position
>pick up heavy rifle
>die

Good job Burger, you've really outdone yourself this time

what is your workout routine and how long have you been working out?

Just watch your heart and cholesterol intake. Talk to a doctor about it, listen to what they say, and feel out what your body can handle

I've been regularly lifting for two years and was close to hitting 4 on 1/2/3/4.
A normal gym session is me racking lmao2pl8 on the bench and going 5x5 or 3x5. I'm not a novice.

How the fuck did you manage that? well if you ask the doctor and get a clean bill of health just give it to the recruiter, do less than 20 because apparently that's how you died and see what goes on from there.

what about cardio?

1.5 miles in under 12 minutes.

They're still scratching their heads over it.

While I was in boot camp there was a kid from another battalion that died cause he lied to his recruiters about a pre-existing heart condition
Not saying you shouldn't still try and enlist but make sure you weight the options on this one my dude
