I tried using one of these (very hard to squeeze, currently doing 70 lbs pressure) i expected my forearms to be sore the next day, but they weren't. Am i doing something wrong or are these a meme?

why would your forearms hurt.. you want forearms you do wrist curls and shit like that, your grip strength uses more in your hand then anything. Your grip gets used all day long just like your calf muscles... you really gotta over work them to feel anything and get them to respond.

I actually have my captains of crush grips on my desk at all times. If I get mad horny and angry like I do looking at pic related, I use them as stress relief. Since they're accessible, I end up doing like 100-200 reps a day.

Put one side into the meat between thumb and index. Think about squeezing your fingers down and dont pull the thumb towards them. Remember, youre not actually gripping a bar, try not to use the thumb. The finger grip mucles are in the forearm.
