Getting friends is still only part of the battle. Getting friends who will actually do stuff other than sit around watching tv and checking social media, who aren’t flaky, who aren’t feminists, and who don’t abandon you every time they’re trying to date some slut from tinder is even harder. The best friendships I ever got in college was a period of about half a year where I would play vidya or cards and drink with a small group of friends. But one by one they gradually stopped hanging out with each other and never wanted to make plans. After I asked a group chat if any of them wanted to do something with no responses, I gave up and spent the rest of college alone outside of class.
