>barbell bench press
THE most alpha exercise, even people who don't lift know that a big bench is impressive and means your officially big. People in the gym ask you "how much do you bench bro?" and answering with anything than a straight number signifies you're a pussy who needs to start barbell benching and stop using dumbbells and machines.
>barbell squat
THE most test raising exercise by far. Most men respect a man who can do heavy squats either because they recognize they're too scared to actually get under a bar and squat it or are just fucking soft and use the "I have bad knees" excuse.
>bent over barbell row
THE king of back exercises, nothing like grabbing a heavy weight from the ground and rowing it towards you for multiple sets and repetitions. This exercise puts everyone else on notice that you're not some fucking pussy that's afraid of lifting some heavy ass weight.
Barbell bench press
>Posts strongman
He'd agree that OHP>bench
>The Press
OHP is useless.
...is the Main upper Body exercise for strongmen
Bench is merely an accessory
Post a Powerlifter next time instead of based pudzianowski
When your competition events include log press and viking press, I'd say your overhead pressing is very important.
t. OHPlet cope
OHP is the main test for raw upper body strength
Some strongmen don't even bench at all, others like Brian Shaw treat it as accessory to their OHP
Is there a more meme lift than barbell OHP? Such a useless lift, unhealthy for the shoulders. Peddled by fat manlets who wanna be strong men and "powerlifters." I make sure to convince everyone I know to stop doing them. Are there any other lifts you convince people to stop doing?
I gotta say OHP as well man, way more impressive.
>bent over barbell row
>THE king of back exercises
umm no sweatie :) that would be weighted pull-ups
>weighted pullups
Powerlifters do Bench
OHP is healthier for shoulders. Strongmen focus on OHP and Push press
Glenn pendlay once Said that someone with a high Push press would Excel at any other pressing movement
>healthier for shoulders
then why don't people do behind the neck presses more often?
>not training on your feet
BTN press requires better shoulder mobility. In OHP your elbows are tucked to your side which is healthiest for your rotators. Only Thing that comes close horizontally is close grip bench press, which is still more stressful because you can handle more weight.
I have an enormous wingspan for my height (6') and my elbows dip like 7 inches below the bench when I press. I can only bench 245 for a double. Fucking end me.
try being actually tall lol
I'd probably roid if I was 6'4+. That's a tough battle for aesthetics.
Because they have poor mobility and unhealthy shoulders to begin with
I actually look decently big somehow but my bench is quite pathetic and has been for like 8 years
