4 minimum
Unless you have some kind of three day routine

I saw somewhere some guy did a 6 day callisthenics workout for a few months and really toned up. is that too much?

>calisthenics
>toned up

atleast fall for the good memes

I have limited access to equipment so callisthenics is a viable option for me right now, i'd rather not pay $10/wk to goto a gym if i can't even pass basic fitness requirements

I dont really give a shit about that
You need proper resistance training
I don't care about the body weight training until you have a solid base

I have some weights at home, I'm going to start using them until i'm strong enough to sign up for a gym and properly commit to this. My job depends on being somewhat strong ( i can manage at the moment, barely), and I'm sick of looking like shit when i know i can try harder.

Home gym is a meme...

Just do what you can, push yourself as much as you can, take it day by day until you can build up to a proper routine. Don't just throw in the towel when you're not immediately couch to running 20 miles.

Also home gym is a meme and calisthenics/"getting toned" even more so. And read the sticky on bulking.

I said nothing about a home gym. I said i have weights at home. Once i'm physically fit enough to have a reason to sign up for a gym, i will. Until such time it can't hurt to use the resources that I already have.

Thanks, i've heard mixed things about callisthenics, so i'm not too sure. I don't think i need to bulk up plenty, but i have whey and eating more will help me get away from skelly mode.

this is why you shouldnt come here for the advice, bunch of dumbfucks calling everything a meme and not providing a solid counterargument

That's the spirit. Just keep at it, bud.

I appreciate the support, thanks user.
agreed, i mainly come here for the support (rarely occurs but still nonetheless) and so people can call me out for dumb shit like this, its hard to see your own mistakes sometimes and a collective of people can help form good advice for you as long as you sift through all the meme posts and bait.

Its because of exposure therapy you dumbass

You want to know my reason?

There's no requirement to start training in a gym, there will be something there for your strength level. Even if you can't lift the empty barbell there will be like machines/wide range of dumbbells that will get you more results than a single dumbbell at home. Stop getting in your own way.

He’s right though, there’s no reason to pay for a gym when you can’t handle an empty bar.
Just progress with pushups, pull-ups, squats, dips until you can do at least 3 sets of 10 of each properly, then go to a gym. You’ll still feel retarded, but you’ll have something to actually do at the gym.

This is the plan, it sounds autistic as fuck but theres outdoor gym equipment at a local park, theres pullup bars and shit there i can practise on, get my strength up to the point where i'm strong enough to go to the gym and it'd be worth the visit.

Whats ur job

3 days/week at a minimum, though you would have to really work your ass off during those three workouts. I'd recommend at least 5, maybe even 6 days/week.

What the fuck are you even talking about? Let me get this right, you are operating on the belief that every single person who uses the gym in your entire country, started off by being "fitter" than you are? That there is some kind of minimum fitness requirement to enter a gym? Get a gym membership, get a routine, do the routine in the gym and stop being a whiny faggot.

It depends on how much you eat, how much you sleep, etc.
