Be me

>Be me
>Have knee pain
>All newbie routines have squats in them
It was over before it even began. What the fuck am I supposed to do to start out?

do cardio

I want to lift, though. I want to bulk up a bit.

Squat. Increase the weights untill it starts hurtin. If it hurts using 60kg, try 50. If 50 hurts try 40 and so on. If you can only squat the bar do that. If not, squat without the bar. If it hurts at the bottom of the squat, do only the top half of the squat. If it hurts at the top, do only the bottom. If low bar hurts, do high bar. If high bar hurts, do low bar. If both hurt do front squats. Work around it (and a little bit trough it), but be as specific as possible. Eventually youll get better.

Isn't there something I can replace squats with?

I had a similar problem
fixed it with a combo of
>stopped being super fat
>worked up cardio (ran and swam)
>bodyweight squats, at first supporting myself by holding a chair to get low enough
>then goblet squats

do yoga

Use a Smith machine and put your feet farther forward (like a hack squat). Your knees should be fine then.

FIX YOUR FORM
my kneepain disappeared when i paid attention how i squat

Box squats

Same, I was relaxing at the bottom of the squat instead of holding tension within my hips.

do everything but the squats

Perhaps you should address the source of your knee pain

stop training legs faggot

You might want to stretch out your legs user. I had the same problem when I first started to lift. It might be caused by a under stretched hamstring that applies a unnecessary stress on your knee.

A properly executed squat puts minimal strain on the knees. Start with the highest weight you feel comfortable squating, detract 10% and proceed really carefully. Don't fall for halfsquat meme though

>do only the top half of the squat.
DO NOT DO THIS
The rest is pretty solid though

lose weight first
do bodyweight squats

Squats fixed my knee pain. Do them anyway. Squats are a natural human motion, work on them.
Disregard this message if your knee is actually fucked or something.

I know that pain user, do cardio instead.

daily reminder that training legs beyond cardio is a meme and you shouldn't waste your time on it

Some of us do sports.

>implying cardio kills gains
just eat more twink, you'll make it

t. chickenlegs fag who doesn't understand how crazy women go for nice asses/legs

Squat anyway, squatting with proper form fixed pain I'd had in my knee from before I started lifting.

>oh no somethings hurting guess i cant lift!
Anyone who actually lifts, and im not talking Jow Forums tier pretending to lift, but really lifts would laugh their ass off at you
Spoiler alert: if you ever want to look like anyone worth a shit you'll be hurting everyday

I feel you, i never manage to hit my back properly since my fingers get worn out quickly on pull day.

And I'm 3 months into this workout

>lifting for women

Fucking cringe

>doesn lift for women
>only works lats, arms and fucking man tits to fill out his shirts
>claims squatting is useless

Somebody likes to troll the new guys

If it's due to a chronic injury and not just improper form knee sleeves are probably necessary

You don't have to lift solely for women to understand facts of what they find attractive you mongoloid. What's cringe is how adamant you are about voluntarily avoiding superior strength and aesthetics

Figure out why it pains. During my 7 years of lifting Ive had pain and injuries wherever. I went to the chiropractor and they got me fixed up with rehab stuff. That shit works. Ive had knee pain, torn back, shoulder pain, elbow pain and now Im trying to Combat a wrist pain. Look it Up and Keep going.
