Best Food in America?

I’m moving to a different country in 2 days and I want to pig out one last time, and then I will stay on diet in that country indefinitely.

What?

depends on where u live user here in san diego its the mexican food

veal parmesan with fettucini alfredo

> best american food
> spic food
Pick one

depends on where you're going, but here are some things to look out for:
>Barbecue restaurants (pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, specifically)
>Good mexican food...check Yelp for the highest rated ones in your area, should get you to the right spot.
>Steak (a decent restaurant, not cheap, overseasoned stuff like outback and longhorn
>Lasagna...takes forever to make, so worth it if you go Italian
>Apple pie

Moved to Europe from California and most things I can get here except good Mexican food.

But mostly I miss my snacks - Kale chips, GT Dave's Kombucha, and Trader Joes.

Barbecue. Doesn't matter what kind but it's something amazing the US does and you won't find anything quite like it in other countries.

Get on a plane flight and go literally anywhere else on the planet.

Dont know a single American who doesnt have some utterly fucked up immune system who is allergic to the most random fucking things. Your countries food supply is 100% fucked to shit.

Go to a nice Steakhouse. It won't be cheap.

Other than that Barbeque if you're in the right regions

UK, France and Australia all do it. Its not special in the US at fucking all.

In fact Australia does it best by miles because it actually has good meat not filled to the fucking brim with steroids.

listen there's Mexican food, then there's "Mexican" food, and the latter is far more delicious

>t. someone who was in Mexico for a month and who's first meal when back in US was a plate of nachos

based san diego bro
best mex in town?

Cafe coyote in old town san diego

>>Lasagna...takes forever to make, so worth it if you go Italian
>a couple hours
>forever

You need some good brisket, my man. I also recommend Clam Chowder.

fellow SDbro here. good choice. it's a pretty busy spot so expect long waits, and it's also a bit pricey

>anywhere outside of US
>having something comparable to a central texas brisket

Try a fried peanut-butter-and-banana sandwich user. It's relatively easy to make and it's pretty fattening for a sandwich. You should eat them with the other foods mentioned in this thread

If you lizlve in Colorado by chance, find Cinzettis Italian Buffet. It's near IKEA.

Lmao okay sounds like I need to get bbq and Mexican food tomorrow for lunch and dinner. That’s fantastic I live in Texas.

>paying good money for meat and not getting a steroid boost from it

I DEMAND MY MONEY BACK

>Lasagna...takes forever to make, so worth it if you go Italian

Nigger lasagna is a fuckin casserole. It's one of the simplest things to prepare.

I've had amazing barbeques basically anywhere I've gone in the world. If you think Texas is the only place that cooks meat right, you obviously havent travelled much.

For me it's the mcdouble. Cheap and delicious. Mad gainz as well.

There's a reason there's argie bbq restaurants all over europe and not texan. Their meat is ridiculously good.

make dis

also some big fat JOOCY borgers with pepperjack

Argentina BBQ and other forms of BBQ are able to be mass produced, unlike Texas BBQ. Texas BBQ demands incredible amounts of skill and planning. Choosing the right woods for the right time, temperature control, and air control are critical parts of Texas (and a few other styles in the US) BBQ that aren't found in most other styles.
The space and time requirement for Texas style BBQ is also incredibly high compared to more commercially successful styles. 14 hours minimum for a good quality brisket and you can only cook two or three of them in a very large smoker (Usually made from repurposed 1000L propane canisters) Even very successful BBQ places with large amounts of land and skilled workers cannot meet demand and almost always sell out early.
You cannot open tons of chain Texas BBQ places like you can Argentinian or Australian style as there simply isn't enough skilled and dedicated people to do do. Almost any monkey can chuck meat onto a roaring fire and then take it off when it is done, but Texas BBQ requires excellence.

Currently in the USA
>all the bread has sugar
>all the yogurt has sugar and pectin
>the egg yolks are highlighter-yellow
>the UHT milk has to be refrigerated
>everything 4x the price as other countries
Damn, I didn't know it was really this bad. How to murribros stay fit? Where are the secret places to shop at? I'll be between Chicago and Texas for the next few months.

t. Texas BBQ man

Literally none of what you said is true besides my milk and greek yogurt being refrigerated. There's tons of options and meat/veggies/fruit is cheap af. Tons of different bakeries and options for breads at local grocers as well.

texas bbq isnt that hard it just takes time
especially now that you can get decent pellet smoker+meat thermometer+basic how to vids on youtube. anybody can make a decent smoked brisket at home now nigger

>pellet smoker
Fucking city larpers. Pellet smokers do not come anywhere close to true wood chunks. Pellet smokers have horrible airflow control that will severely damage your bark quality.

wood burning smokers are easily accessible too if thats what you want. my point still stands. you can make good bbq at home without having to drive to bumbfuck texas

You know what’s a fucking overpriced meme? Brazilian BBQ.

yeah but
>americans
>having a real food that truly belongs to them *people* that aren't just knockoffs of other countries food.

I've spent the last 9 months traveling across Europe. This place is dog shit dude, I can't believe I fell for the "Europe is such a nice place meme". You faggots don't know how to season food for shit, trying to find decent international cuisine here is fucking impossible, you faggots gave no idea what spice is (you act like milk is too spicy), the only genuinely good meals were all 50 euro a plate. That's just the food... Haven't even had to mention how the massive influx of shitskins have turned your cities into repulsive shitholes. USA is #1 for a reason.

Its the south where its at - Italy, France, Spain, the Balkans. Internationally famous for their cuisine.
You wont get shit roaming in northern europe are you dumb or something?

>You faggots don't know how to season food for shit
It sounds like you went in all the wrong countries.
Which ones did you visit? Also, have you only tried food at 'upscale' places? That's usually pretty mild.

>Pellet smoker
You have to go back.

Yea, you can make edible, somewhat enjoyable food at home. It doesn’t mean you’re not making a dog’s bed of your eggs every morning. You more than likely have not studied and trained in any culinary art given your lack of respect to those that cook food that people other than your mother want to humor you on.
t. Private chef for going on 7 years

>cooking is hard

lmao

I mean yeah that’s fine I don’t care if it’s from other countries, it makes it “American” by being the maximum calories, fried, greasy, juiciest, flavor-maxxed bloat-optimized piece of shit you can’t get anywhere else that I’ll miss living in an Asian country where you buy your vegetables at a local vendor downstairs.

based san diegian, north park here, the Mexican food is the bomb but there is this place that does happy hour, 7 bucks for a huge plate of calamari. shit It cash

the brigantine my dude, best fish tacks

Just go to a farmers market. Also a lot of asian countries fry the shit out of their food.

Seconding this. No place has better food in the world than the North of Spain (Basque Country, Galicia, Asturias).
