Standard disclaimer:
If you do not have ADD/ADHD, you should not be taking amphetamines AT ALL.

Why?
Because this shit will make you feel like you can do *anything*, like you're Superman. It'll also raise your blood pressure and put a greater strain on your heart. If you're lifting heavy you could even have a heart attack, even if you're young and healthy.

Athletes used to use amphetamines as a performance enhancer. They'd also drop dead in the middle of competition because of them.

source?

Haha good thing I have bad ADD.
But Im a failure and I dont take amphetamines, maybe I should get some and try it so I can become successful.

TALK TO A DOCTOR. SEE IF ADDERALL IS APPROPRIATE FOR YOU.

Adderall is a SCHEDULE 1 CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and obtaining/posessing it without a valid, legally-obtained prescription is a FELONY.

Also as previously stated you may be advised against hard physical training on Adderall.

TALK TO A DOCTOR.

Look into modafinil and adrafinil(same thing, no perscription needed but can potentially mess with liver). I have add(or ADHD idk) and this is the only thing that has worked and it had no adverse affects. No crash, no jitters, I don’t notice a change in anxiety. At most you become slightly less patient with others

>Adderall is a SCHEDULE 1 CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
fuck off

This guy is one of those DYEL faggots that posts advice on here but should be fucking eating something, post body retard. ECA is more “dangerous” because it raises blood pressure and heart rate a lot more than adderall. It’s fine OP, I don’t have ADHD but use it preworkout pretty often and I lift real fucking heavy 700lb+ deadlifts. It works great but it’s more of a mental effect than something like DMAA.

nobody should be taking ADHD drugs: youtube.com/watch?v=RyHQRxQGBhI

Thanks man.

>t. drug addict
Enjoy rehab when your addiction reaches the point where you're using meth because adderall doens't do it for you anymore, dumb faggot.

FYI I've had Adderall prescribed for me before because I have ADHD. I've been off it for years now and would not go back on. Shit is not Amateur Night, you can fuck yourself up on it if you're not careful, it's 4 different kinds of amphetamine salts and there are side-effects. So fuck you.

>illogical fallacies in his argument
>dependent on substance

Wanna know how I know you’re retarded?

>inb4
“N-n-no...NO IM NOT”

Then stop taking it/then if that isn’t case

Agree, you're taking basically a low dose of meth to increase your attention span. People and society at large are fucking retarded to think this is a good idea.
It's like taking steroids and sitting on the couch to get stronger instead of just going to the gym. Just meditate dumbfucks

>illogical fallacies
>reddit spacing
Jesus Christ you’re so fucking dumb

I took like 300mg of adderral in 3 days at a music festival and barely felt shit. Baby tier stim.

>Agree, you're taking basically a low dose of meth to increase your attention span.
How do you even function in society? There is no methyl group in amphetamine salts/dextroamphetamine which is what makes meth so neurotoxic and addictive. In fact, amphetamine alone is neuroprotective.

Exactly, the effects are overblown by the dude weed faggots that try to trash talk everything else to get their faggot plant legalized.

Lel I don’t go on reddit nice try druggy

Lel and once again the brainlet cope
>no-no-no...you’re dumb!
Child

They’re called logical fallacies you fucking idiots

I get very lightheaded and feel weaker on it. would not suggest working out on it.

My favorite combo is addy and alcohol. Loosens my nerves and makes me more sociable while staying on high alert and energetic. But not coke tier energetic to the point of being ridiculous.

it constricts the blood vessels which means less blood flow to the muscle. no matter how it makes your head feel, it is a counterproductive supplement

>Just meditate dumbfucks
this is not a solution to the problem.
Source: Me. I meditated every day for 2 years straight, 40 minutes to 1 hour 30 minute meditation session.

>he finally googled it
1. I double posted
2. I don’t think you understand grammar
3. You’re still dependent on a substance

You said illogical fallacies you fucking moron, how stupid can you be?

are you sure its class 1? Class 1 drugs are considered to serve no benefits at all. Most likely class 2

>he doesn’t understand grammar/spelling application
>is this mad
Yup you definitely have no issues lel

>less blood flow to the muscle
I don't really think thats how this works. Unless increased blood pressure somehow blocks capillaries that surround muscle cells and somehow slows down the rate of the amount of blood being pumped by the heart, you will have to explain this to me.

Why do you retards even think of this? I went to the gym for kicks once after taking only 10 mg IR and I thought I was genuinely sweating entire streams down my body and felt like my heart was going to give out any second.
Adderall is a god tier drug but why anyone would risk the damage and go heavily work out is beyond me.
Just take caffeine it’s enough. Your warmup set should get you pumped enough.

It just makes you feel more motivated, makes tasks feel easier and intensely interesting.
I'm quite sure you could double your volume on adderall as if it was nothing, you'd enjoy it too.
It does have drawbacks though; during the first year or so I started taking it, it would cause crazy blood pressure problems; I'd regularly get orthostatic hypotension (standing up too fast then fainting).
Until your body adjusts to it and the side effects are gone I wouldn't recommend lifting anything heavy above your head.
I also wouldn't really recommend doing cardio on it because your might overdo it to a massive extent and make your heart explode kek

I am guessing its because OP has been prescribed and he is wondering if its still safe for him to go workout after taking his daily meds.

I never work out on it because I want to be strong when sober, if that makes sense. Also I have crazy high blood pressure so not a good idea to mix the two.

Just use it when you have to--for me that's 3-4 times a week (in the morning so sleep isn't affected), and when I go out drinking 1-2 times/month.

This. Alcohol alone just makes me sleepy

Everyone who's taken adderall regularly long term knows the zombie state it puts you in. It's terrible for you.

is this state a result of ceasing to take the medication after a long period of using it?

Zombie/robot emotionless state is effect of being on a high dose of adderall daily for years.

>Alcohol alone just makes me sleepy
You are not drinking enough
It's fun but the addy makes you feel a lot less drunk than you really are, so it's crucial that you watch your alcohol intake. It's a running joke in our dorms that addy and alc together is a ticket to the hospital for retards. The amount of people who have ended up in our campus hospital from the combo is hilarious.

>child still in college thinks he knows anything

anecdotally it's not the best. i take amphetamine daily for ADHD, around 20mg a day usually. i decided to take a bunch as preworkout, and only did it one time. i hit a set of squats and i definitely felt stronger, but after the second set i was fucking pouring sweat. like, absolutely soaked, sweat running off like i got out of the shower. i felt faint, like when you stand up too fast and things were sort of gray. my heartrate was outrageous like 140 bpm even after sitting down for a bit. i decided to just call it off and head home. can't recommend it really.

Common fucking sense?

Adderall made me a ducking genius and helped me do so well in college. Don’t listen to these fags who day it’s dangerous. They’re afraid of getting ahead.

It's schedule II. Schedule I means it can not even be prescribed. Only asian countries have the balls to go that far.

>In fact, amphetamine alone is neuroprotective.
No that's ritalin. As a general rule, reuptake-inhibitors (methylphenidate/cocaine) can be neuroprotective. Release agonists (meth/amphetamine) are neurotoxic (though amphetamine is less neurotoxic than methamphetamine).

Dont underestimate the issue of feeling faint when standing too quickly. Was doing barbell back squats and my head gave out me causing me to fucking almost fold in half. Thankfully I'm a ridiculously flexible hockey goalie and managed to not tear anything.

Do you feel smarter now, or did it just make you a better slave?

PROTIP: That guy who studies all day has 10 things he's "gifted at".
That guy who thinks he's smart, but lazy, is only "gifted at" quoting the Simpsons.

So yeah, he's smarter than you.

You'll be fine as long as it's not a high dosage
I take 10 or 20mg of instant release before a lot of workouts and haven't really had a problem with it
Adderall isn't really any worse to work out on than ephedrine, DMAA, or the +300mg of caffeine that a lot of preworkouts have

Memorizing =/= learning.

Why would you use a high dose. Cycle your dose and take regular breaks during periods where you don't need to be productive.

t. 200lb guy who still uses 10mg after 4 years

Because I was 9-17 years old at the time and didn't have a choice. By the time I could vocalize how much I didn't want to take it anymore I was so far into dependency and withdrawals caused even worse problems.

Try it again, but cycle your doses. I've been on the same dose for 4 years without any adverse effects. I feel a bit more sluggish after my third day of not taking it, but a bit of coffee takes care of that. After 5 days, it's like I never took it.

I haven't touched a stimulant stronger than coffee in ten years. Never again.

You know yourself better than anyone else. If you're happy with how much you're accomplishing without stimulants, then you're right to not take them.

It saps intensity from your lifts and steals gains. Big no.

Adderall is literally just a Starbucks Grande White Mocha that lasts for 3 hours instead of just 1 with coffee.

Literally produces the same effect. 1 trip to Starbucks is $5 per trip. A 60 count adderall precriptions is $7 per MONTH. And you can split them into 4 smaller pieces to spread it out across the day.

This isn't bathtub meth as much as you morons want it to be. I've snorted meth at mardis gras before. Yeah it was awesome but it's not as bad as propaganda will make it out to be. Adderall is maybe like 1/4 of that in efficacy.

I know very little about addy but my GF is in a Phd program and tames it regularly to help her study and work on her dissertation. Should I be worried about long term effects of her taking it? She has a legit prescription for it, but both her and her doctor know that she doesn't medically need it.

Maybe for you. Adderall fucks my sleep for like 9 hours. Coke is the same way. I ditched stims aside from coffee due to that.
> Starbucks white mocha
I make my coffee at home so it’s more like 5 cents a cup. Are you a woman?

No, shit is pretty weak. No need to worry unless she starts taking extra large doses or like snorting it.

Just because you asked for dosage, I know you're a retard. Down the entire bottle, and never post here again.

my most embarrassing drunken nights are from addy and alcohol. was wrestling my friends naked last time

Sources? I’ve known about this. I have a friend whos been taking 20mg for like 5 years I think and he just decided to quit. He can be pretty depressed.

I'm a relative novice lifter who takes 10mg of Adderall XR for ADHD. I life towards the end of my day, and thus the end of my dose's lifetime. I don't feel different physically at any point while taking this drug, and lifting has not been an exception to the rule. Mentally, the drug appears to help me push through and finish hard exercises, but I'm not sure if that's just because I'm really motivated to exercise right now. My performance appears consistent on my days with or without the drug.
