currently my hobbies are, Boxing,juijitsu,muay thai, writing, painting models (40k specifically),only games i play are Monster hunter world and for honor. i cant play instruments, i just have stupid finders for it. but i build computers for fun as well. other than that i would say fit hobbies are anything you can do in down time and just be confident enough to say you do X and not care what others think.

i also make a point to hang out with friends every week and have a shitty horror movie night with everyone.

On a serious note depends on what your goals are. there are so many amazing art books out there (but for each good one there is 1000 shitty ones).

"The artists complete guide to drawing the head" by william L. maughan is a nice start if you want to learn how to draw portraits.

The Artist's Complete Guide to Figure Drawing by Anthony Ryder is pretty cool for figure drawing - although in his style you spent many hours on just shading and rendering gradients for shadows.

Solomon J. Solomon's "The practise of oil painting and drawing" is great if you want to try the old school approach. But there are not very many "exercsises" as such in it, but it tells you what to study and how. (still lives, plaster casts etc)

Harold Speeds "Oil Painting Techniques and Materials" is of a similar manner, though he is a bit more open minded to different kinds of styles. Overall a good read, even if you dont plan on painting oil

If you want to do illustration, manga, comic etc then i cannot help you

its actually super easy and theres lots of resources online. basically what you do is

I'm by no means good but these tips will help you immensely.
1-losen your grip
2-don't chicken scratch
3-when you try to draw something make the lines nice and soft, be confident and don't erase it if it's messed up. draw what you intended again with confidence
you also want to lose symbol drawing which you might have, learning to draw in perspective will help you a lot in making your drawings look nice.
recommend going with a book called keys to drawing,it's a good starter,also if you have a good interest, say you like military, you have to try to expand your visual library by drawing from reference, avoid drawing from imagination too much, you can try drawing whatever you like just look at it or a picture of it, take your time, you learn the details and expand then you can start to be creative and use what you learn
