Not really. There's some evidence that stretching directly before a lift can momentarily limit your power, that is to say how much strength you can recruit instantly, but that's it.

I strech neither before or after lifting. I do it as a stand alone activity.

It's good for recovery and preventing future injury. I personally do yoga after every workout and massage sore muscles with a lacrosse ball to loosen muscles and increase blood flow to the area for maximum protein synthesis.
