Chicago was -30 F today, I live further east. I just happened to see an article about it, brought it up to emphasize how cold it's been across the country lately.

Arizona here, I've been to the Chicago area during fall and it was something else. I've only ever lived in California and Arizona so seasons are a foreign concept to me. Living in AZ for the bulk of my life also has left me with little knowledge on how to deal with natural disasters since they are a rarity here.

It’s really not. I live in the coldest city on the planet. -40 is fairly normal to expect week by week. Anywhere below -55 is when you have to really start to pay attention to how you dress and how long you’re outside.

Fellow Delawarefag here, this weather's fucking nothing. Layer your jackets and put some gloves on, I have to walk/bike a little over a mile to get to the gym on lifting days, and I've been fine. The wind's not even that bad today, a week or two ago there was one day where it was actually miserable but since then we've been cruising.
