Stop watching at screens one hour before you go to bed. Blue light filter them way before that.
If you're someone that starts to think about life when you should sleep, get up again do something else in a similar lot room until you feel sleep again. Return to bed, repeat until you sleep. This will train your body to sleep in bed.

Every single time it takes me one "cycle" to fall asleep. The moment at which I start having absurd thoughts interrupt my counting (weird shit, a clock talking, or my bed having skateboard wheels) I know I'm close to falling asleep.

In all seriousness though, just look it up. No screens or white/blue/cold light 1-2 hours before sleepytime. You can read a book at yellow/warm light if you want. Nice cool but not too cold bath. Your room should be in absolute darkness or as close. If there are any light sources, cover or unplug them. Preferably you should minimize electromagnetic radiation in all forms, meaning that if there is any current close to you, you should stop that as well. Make sure all your duties for the day are done to minimize worrying.

forgot to talk about melatonin. less is more, have 0.3-1mg when you start reading. Most people will gain the best effect from melatonin within that dosage but it wouldnt hurt to try more. Probably dont go over 3mg.

As someone who struggles getting to sleep as well, I find this does help a lot. Feels like imagining something like a journey or similar helps me start drifting way better. Problem is, it only works if it comes naturally, like my mind drifts until I get to that point, can't really force it well.
