How do I safely do an extended fast?
>Take snake juice, or just supplement electrolytes.

How come the FAQ says to keep sodium and potassium at 1:1, but the formula in the OP says to have 1 1/2 tsp of baking soda and salt and only 1 tsp of potassium chloride?

Alright lads I have till mid march to lose 45lbs.
I am 245lbs right now, so about 5-6 weeks, 7.5-8.5lbs a week.

Going to workout 3-4x a week., do week long fasts and 1 refeed day (keto).

Do I think it's possible? No but I'm gonna try. Realistically I'm thinking I'll probably hit 210lbs.

cut, then do a very VERY slow bulk and bulk forever. If you do it right and workout properly you'll slowly increase in muscle mass and "cutting" should be a simple matter if it comes to it.

How many kgs have you lost?

I don't really think you are going to be able to work out 4 times a week and working out while prolonged fasting just raises cortisol and its not worth the stress on your body. Its already cutting fat like mad. Let it do its job. You should expect to lose 1lb per day of fast. 210 is definiltely attainable. 200 will depend on your water weight. expect to lose 15ish pounds week 1 then stall. Don't let it get you down. You might start holding water weight but that was never fat loss. In the end it will still average 1lb per day at your weight.
I didnt do keto refeeds because I would take the 48 hours it takes to enter keto to do cardio. But by day 3 cardio is pretty much impossible for me.

YOU CAN START WITH OMAD AND BULK. AT YOUR LEVEL YOU CAN CUT BODY FAT AND MAKE GAINS EASY ON OMAD.

Extremely unlikely. Most weight is burned by metabolism and just existing. If he never ate all month and exercised fairly hard he might lose an extra half pound to a pound per week but we both know that isn't happening and he shouldnt try to push himself that had.

Don't know exactly at the moment because I only weigh in every 7 days. I started at 213 pounds/96 kg.

I didn't think I would be able to either, but we'll see. I'm not doing HIIT or anything. Very basic lifting routine with some jiggle jogging light cardio.

I worked out, albeit very lightly, today and it felt OK. I think I could have gone a bit harder. Just testing the waters this week. I'll report back to the thread with results after the end of next week when I try doing my full routine.

Honestly though, I feel fantastic. I think I can and not going to force it if I can't.

I know caps user, its hard right now but its going to be worth it.

19 days in. I've lifted 5-6 days a week. You can do it just hydrate a lot and get that salt in ya.

If you can do it then best of luck to you. I don't want to discourage you. But fasting gets harder and harder. If you aren't keto yet then working out isn't going to be comparable to working out when you are keto fasted. If you stress yourself too hard early you'll quit. I am just suggesting you pace yourself. Try fasting for a week. See how you feel. And then slowly start adding in exercises. You're in it for the long haul and going to be feeling bad for a long time. I say this because I've been basically doing what you want to do for 5 weeks and lost 35 pounds. This is working out 2 times a week. I would have tried 3 or 4 but I could barely walk a quarter of a mile before tiring out.

That's quite impressive and yeah, even on the light lifting I got thirsty QUICK. That's why I'm just testing things out this week to feel it out.

I've actually been fasting already just really starting to get some results now. Admittedly I did eat a bit too much on my keto day but it didn't break the bank. I've done a two week fast in the past and there was no way I could have worked out, but so far this is a really good feeling compared to that.

If I have to walk for exercise I will. I'd be happy with 35lbs, 45 is mostly a stretch goal. Like you said I'm slowly adding workouts and will try to pace as much as possible. Today super light nothing, tomorrow the same but different muscle group, just going through the motions before pushing any further.

Follow up question: Ive been working out at about 50-60% 5-6 times a week.

I'm actually pretty lean but still have that lower abdomen fat and some love handles. Is it possible the working out is spiking my cortisol and storing stomach fat?

Is 48 hours long enough to bother with ACV and lemon juice (I don't have access to snake juice ingredients at the moment)? Been comfortably doing the odd 16 hours with just water whenever it's convenient and am well accustomed to skipping meals.

Me from last year I stopped after this and pretty much hovered from 160-170 since then. The most I went was 8 days before a refeed usually 4-5.

Back at it on day 3 so far, too lazy to take another pic since I just got off work but really motivated to finish going to try for a 30 day fast if I need to wish me luck bros.

I think I'd faint and crack my head if I fasted. If I don't eat for like 18 hours I start getting blurry vision and have to squat down to maintain blood to muh brain.

Just starting out and I decided I want to be hardcore and go for a 48hour dry fast.

When I’m done what should I do, eat keto or snake juice?

I've been fasting for 16 hours and feel perfectly fine. It's flu season here and the it's apparently pretty bad so I won't be doing a multi-day fast but will try and make a habit of OMAD in the next 5-10 days, and then try doing 3-day fasts.
I'm around 5'10, 185lbs. Judging by my dad who has the same bone and muscle structure as well as height, but is a runner and lean as can be, I'm carrying at least 20lbs of excess weight, so I guess 160-165lbs is my long-term goal.
I've scoured the threads but it's pretty difficult to find examples of /fast/ers who are neither Jow Forums bros who are trying to shed the last several pounds of fat, nor fatsos. Will keep you guys poster, and this thread shitposted.

you don't break fasts with hard food. this is a basic fasting rule. no hard starches or meats or dense fats or pasteurized homogenized shit. your body needs easy to digest things like lemon water or fruit the first few times because its not used to being treated like a garbage disposal yet.

after a three week fast do you still eat solid? I always wondered because ancient man might go a few weeks without eating. Did he get super sick when he ate again? or did people have more knowledge about fasting back then?

Also, I don't eat chocolate bars. I use raw cocoa powder, which has zero sugar, some healthy fats, and a good amount of protein. Also no onions lecithin or any other questionable additives.

When you hit a plateau, use low-rep (i.e. high RPE) exercises to boost your nervous system's strength, so that in a later session you can use higher weight when training in the hypertrophic range.
