The good: It's pretty cheap, only $10 a month or $199 for 18 months
The bad: well obviously the lack of free weights and not being able to do DL's
bump
The music they play is shit.
>not bringing your own music
The good: Cheap, plenty of equipment
The bad: Pretty commercial and tends to get busy
Good
$10CAD a month
Bad
Only 2 squat racks
music
the name
i hate the fact that they don't have more free weight equipment than they do machines.
who cares about the name?
forgot to mention i like how they are spread out so I can always go to one if I'm not around my main gym or in another part of the Sacramento area.
Its a bad omen
$10 a month, lots of olympic platforms. It almost always dead, it's great.
local community centre, so it doesn't have a logo
The Good
>music isn't loud so I can listen to my own stuff at an acceptable level while their music is totally drowned out
>mostly old people
The Bad
>only 2 powercages, so if they're being used and i've finished my other exercises, I'm just wasting time standing around
>twice as expensive as the Anytime Fitness around the corner
Pros:
-Cheap
-Can obtain any equipment I need
-Can be loud
-Any music I want
-Can do weird lifts without people thinking Im retarded
-Cant be mogged
Cons:
-Cant mog
-No spotters
Pros: huge selection of lifting stations, lots of dumbbells, many machines, lots of open space, and some nice windows that let in plenty of sunlight
Cons: screaming kids down the hallway, too many machines, tons of fucking thots, closes at 930 pm, and the staff is kind of rude
I've been looking into the ymca or anytime fitness because planet fitness is garbage and I want to get back into using free weights. Does the ymca have a good amount of them?
Pros:
-cheap
- extra room with heavy bags
- clean
Cons:
- only 2 squat racks
>like
•Digital clocks on the TV
•App that lets me know all my check ins
•pool
•sauna
>cons
•Tiny locker rooms
dont forget
>lifting naked
and with the right rack spotters arent that big of an issue, esp on bench
>Con
I go to my own gym but when my gf wants to lift/cardio I go with her to PF.
I drove around the parking lot for 8 minutes looking for a spot. Fuck resolutioners.
I miss city sports :(
Having no spotters pushes me harder. Just knowing if I can't get up from this squat i'll probably die makes me get up.
This is a marketing thread. Nice try. Planet Fitness actually advertises on Jow Forums now, if you hadn’t noticed. Or I’m getting baited.
Pros:
- 2 minute jog from my front door
- Quiet at times I usually go
- Very cheap
Cons:
- As I live in an area with a lot of asians it has made me incredibly racist, to the point where I think banning Indian men from the gym is perfectly reasonable. I stop being racist as soon as I leave the gym.
- Only 3 racks which is nightmare when its busy
- Loads of high school kids go there which is annoying, they awkwardly cluster around bits of equipment and generally just muck around and make a mess
Pros:
-Cheap.
-Lots of space.
-Strongman equipment.
-More than enough plates.
-Sauna three days a week.
Cons:
-Super small showers.
-The music is often too loud.
The one I go to has a powerlift station and 2 squat racks so I'd say it has a pretty good variety of free weight exercises. It also has 5 benchpress stations and 4 benches I think.
>banning Indian men from the gym is perfectly reasonable.
UK?
The Good:
No one bothers you
Very Cheap
Less than a year old so all equipment is new
Staff is pretty friendly
The bad:
No Free Weights \ Lack of Weights
Too busy after work
Too many gym thots doing meme excersizes
5 possible MS-13 Members
Bedford? Sounds exactly the same
Pros:
>Hot thots everywhere
>Shit ton of squat racks everywhere
>Can take boxing, BJJ, or other classes if I want too
>Employees actually put the weights away when retards leave them out
>Employees/trainers are all really cool
>Gym is big as fuck
>Has a store in gym that sells supps
>Stream UFC fights
Cons:
>Not that many locations
>Usually do gym wide events for fat people that are kind of annoying
Home gym master race!
The good:
I never have to wait for a bench or rack.
I never spill my spaghetti trying to talk to gym thots.
I can yell "Light weight baby!" and "Oh yeah brother!" at the top of my lungs any time I want.
I never have to wipe down the equipment.
I can superset with as many weights and bars as I want any time I want.
The bad:
I have to pay attention to where my 4 year old lifting buddies are so that I accidentally cave their skulls in by dropping weights on them. (I swear children have no sense of self preservation!)
Stepping on a Lego while doing farmer carries!
The ugly:
Me.

>Olympic lift area
>CrossFit equipment if you’re into that
>boxing classes
>heavy bags
>a lot of heavy bags
>a whole room of heavy bags

Cons:
I moved away from it.
God damn it I had one job
The good:
- Low cost, compared to other gyms in my city
- Large franchise, so I can just go the nearest gym
- Decent equipment compared to other low-cost gyms
The bad:
- Not a lot of benches/squat racks (usually only a single rack, one bench and one inclined bench)
- Very inconsistent equipment across gyms
- Always full
- Pretty commercial
good: young to middle age crowd. Basically do whatever you want
bad: trainers are mostly dyel and owners seem scummy
Pros:
-$25 a month with access to 3 gyms one a 24hr location
-good mix of people mostly middle to upper middle class
-main gym is building an expansion to compete with the 24hr site
-ivanko plates and bars
-dropped prices 6 months ago
Cons
-ridgeland site has no deadlift platform (yet)
-no power racks on main gym (yet)
Overall a good gym
Pros
low monthly cost
don't need to travel
no waiting for equipment
Cons
no thots to ogle between sets
not as much equipment for specialized exercises
high upfront cost
takes up space at home
no spotter
Pros: all the equipment you could ever need, indoor track/pool/climbing wall/ice skating rink, four indoor basketball courts, rooftop tennis courts, racquetball courts, etc. loads of yoga classes and shit, plenty of water fountains/bottle filling stations, decent music, and plenty of QTs
Cons: always fucking packed unless you go at like 9pm, but it stays open till 11:30
Pros:
>few people use the weights, never have to wait
>friendly old boomers like to chat
>dated the qt receptionist for a while
>attached to an indoor soccer field
>been going long enough that I know everyone
Cons:
>creepy old boomers also like to chat
>have to make friendly small talk with qt receptionist when she's there
>barbells are kinda beat up/bent
>close early on weekends
Fellow YMCA'r
Good:
12 minute walk from home
Few lifters, we get the whole free weight section to ourselves
This YMCA absorbed the YMCA from next town over; this includes their gym equipment so we got tons of extra equipment and racks
Bad:
Piss poor management
Not optimal hours
Lifting room is cold yo
Home Gym
Pros:
>no niggers
>no nigger music
>do everything in a power rack so i dont need spotters
>lift in underway and shower shoes if i feel like it
>do random chores like take out the trash or feedbthe dog between set
>can take as long as i want
>no 30 min drive to and from the gym
>can flex and check myself out as much as i like without being weird
>can do exercises that are too silly to do in a gym like neck stuff
>dont have to choose between a gay shower at the gym or driving home smelly
>open all year round 24/7
>people always complement it when they see it
>can do deadlifts without the entire gym stopping to stair at me
Cons:
>no a/c
>no dumbbells
>no machines
OUCH, OWWW, FUCK, AAAAAAAAAAA FUUUCK
Pros:
>lotsa machines for every type of exercise
>6 squat racks in the main hall +2 smaller ones in the leg day area
>Spacious
>Staff are somewhat kind
>recurring gymbros on the daily that give me motivation
>Clean, very very clean
>Organized
Cons
>Smack dab middle in a high income area with an aging population
>A metric fuckton of boomers who will make the place almost unusable during 5pm-7pm
> In the evening DYEL's take up the squat racks and do babyweight with their gfs who take about 20 minutes to do 1 set.
> Thots, alot of them who waste plates and wear the most meme tier shit to the gym
>Boomers
More Cons
>Specifically the fucking music
>They play the most retarded top 10 music of all time
> Its loud
>Can sometimes hear it through BFG Division from Doom Soundtrack
>Completley un motivational, drains my entire spirit just having to sit there and listen to a censored version of I Love It
Pros:
Absolutely alpha
Cons:
A little too alpha sometimes to where it’s kinda gay
I went there a while back, but at midnight so it was 90% empty and the music was off.
Air Force gym
Pros:
>Free
>Not busy if you go at the right hours
>Nice equipment
>Thots are patrolled, women are legitimately not allowed to wear revealing clothes and that rule is actually enforced
>24 hours
>Staff keeps shit clean
>Literally all the cardio stuff is sanctioned off to the 2nd floor, so for the most part normies who care about keeping their weight in balance and don't lift at all are quarantined
Cons:
>Tons of boomer retirees that pour in during the down hours, so you either have to deal with high traffic or boomers
>The most convenient times to go to the gym IE after work, right before work are the most busiest times
Pros
>pool/ hot tub
>sauna
>4 squat racks, plus one oly platform
>big ass space for free weights
>lots of hot dads to blow
Cons
>popular
>trainers can be pushy
I think there is like 6 or 7 other gyms. A good half of the gym are "POC", doesn't really bother me. These guys are bad hombres.
I'm not OP but here are more pros and cons:
Pros:
-Even when busy, there seems to be enough equipment. 4 racks, 2 bench press stations, like 10 benches and lots of weight machines.
-The regulars are generally nice people
-Good customer support
-Applying for membership can be done in 1 minute online and you can immediately go with your pin code
Cons:
-Nothing to wipe down equipment with before or after use
-Along with normie music, they play their own ads with annoying jingles. actually drives me mad
-The foreign people that go are unfriendly and dismissive
Same as this user but different experience
Pros:
-cheap (€ 20/month)
-open 24 hours
-somewhat spacious and well separated
Cons:
-everyone and their mother is there between 4 and 9 pm
-equipment is pretty shit, some bars are rusty, benches are torn
-trainers are masters of meme shit and don’t know anything, never squat
-got videotaped while doing dumbbell farmers walks, people can’t even comprehend what it is
-get looked at like I’m retarded for doing facepulls
-smells like ass in the summer
-people won’t give you advice, correct your form or interact with you in any way except for looking at you angry
-I’m a dyel and probably top 10 % for my weight class
-people pose and snap pics of themselves after squatting 40 kg including bar
are you gay? why you no like women dressed in revealing clothes?
My fucking nigger
Ymca is goat, love the simple utilitarian no bullshit vibe of the place
Let’s workout together :3
Pros:
-Cheap as fuck (15€/month)

Good: - Its close
- Good space
- Clean
- Trainers and staff always nice
- Cheap, only 249kr a month (25 euro)
Bad: - I've heard they give out free
membership to asylumseekers,
so its full off skinny sandniggers
from Syra/Afghan.
- Only 2 bench presses
Pros:
-Cheap af
-Big number of dumbbells, benches and bars
-Enough space
-Good lighting and air circulation
-Is near my home
Cons:
-Very old machines
-A lot faggots looking at my ass and my bulge
-Few gym thots for the test boost
-There are some douches who workout the same time i do, one time we have a argument because these faggots think they own the dumbbells
-There are one personal trainer that hates me and i don't why, this made the ambient weird some times
They have a huge chalk board where they write motivational quote of the day n shit like that, I wrote “test your limits anavar give up” and they rubbed it off next day
I go to planet. Saw a guy doing cleans on the smith machine.
u forgot having to give up any equipment ur using to the O-5's 15 yr old zoomer son without question
Unbased and definitely bluepilled
Anytime shitness
Pro:
>walk out back gate of my house and it’s right there
>decent selection of machines, two power racks and a squat rack
>not busy when I go (6am or 12pm)
>vending machine with protein snacks and pre workouts
>recently refurbished, clean, smells good, music never blasted
Cons:
>too many dyels who will glare at you doing a routine in either power rack
>forget about going any other time, disgustingly packed
>small
>downgraded their scale to a classic shitty manual one and moved it permanently into one of the bathrooms so that fats don’t burst out into tears in the common space
am i retarded? 10 dollars a month x 18 is 180 right? Why the fuck would you pay 199. how is that a deal?
I go there to workout not eye fuck and validate hoes. Not saying them being there ruins my concentration or anything, but the fact that they go there solely for attention annoys me. I like the fact that people like that are simply refused access to my gym.
What. Officers have 0 authority outside of uniform. I once had a captain that works the same place I do ask to use equipment, and I refused because I wasn't done with it.
Pros:
>cheap
>it gets the job done if you know what you're doing
>instathots
Cons
>instathots
that's true, i was speaking anecdotally. when i was back on kadena air base there was this obnoxious kid who would come to the gym and do whatever the fuck he wanted but they let him run around and do whatever because they knew his daddy was a high ranking officer. it's bad enough fat dependa wives pull the "my husbands an officer" card but even more annoying when a fucking kid pulls the "my dads an officer" card
Oh fuck...thank you user, thought I was losing my shit there for a second
Pros:
>kinda cheap
>lot of powerlifting equipment
>4 squat racks
>2 diddly platforms

>sometimes there are women working out
This be me.
Pros:
>Clean
>Minimal assholes
>New equipment
>Can use other locations when travelling
Cons:
>One squat rack
>Tiny floor space always occupied by thots
>Shit music
Good:
Equipment is new
Cheap monthly
Okay Music
Bad:
Lots of basic bitches who leave weights on their bench or squat.
Packed at peak times
Weak ass bitches.
I have to spot everyone with intermediate gains cause everyone is weak.
Cardio bunnies aren't that hot.
Where are you located?
Kek....only good thing about so many resolutioners is I don't look like dyel next to them.
no logo
the good: it's 5usd a month, not a lot of people go, chill and relaxed atmosphere
the bad: closed a lot for events, closes early saturday, closed sundays, closed on every national holiday and really, really small
Dude why are there so many Sacramento anons lmao
Ive seen this in area code threads too
and theres a far amount of powerlifiting gyms up here
I go to the 24 in Arden, there will be 20 people there at midnight on a friday
why are sac fags so Jow Forums we dont even live by the beach :(

$40 annual fee if paying the $10/month
Fuck CU
Adding on to this
Pros:
It's clean
It's cheap
It's everywhere and you can make use of all locations (except some women only gyms)
Cons:
Membership plans get changed every so often, seemingly only getting worse.
They keep advertising shit to you despite already being a customer.
Easiest lockers to break into.
Staff has no protocols on what to do if any situation occurs:
- Broken alarm system? Let it keep beeping all day, get someone else to fix it.
- Broken plumbing? Let the gym smell like shit for a week, get someone else to fix it.
- Broken customer? Let someone else call an ambulance.
- Broken schedule and there's shifts that aren't filled? Just keep the gym closed.
>5 possible MS-13 Members
Uhh what? did they not see the gym policy!? No dew-rags!
Pros:
Cheap $21/month (for New York)
One right next to my house and one in Manhattan close to where I work
All my friends go there
Mog all the DYELs

No sauna
Basically PF with barbells
Don't want to post logo.
Pros:
>500 feet from my home

>cable machines
>weight belts
>gymnastic rings
>barbells to spare
>there's a great flight of stairs leading up to it by the elevator that's the best place around to run stairs

Cons:

>closes at 9 on weeknights (my schedule is erratic so this is sometimes an issue)
>closes at 6 on saturdays
>closed on sunday but that's my rest day so I don't care much about this
Overall the most convenient gym I've ever had
It's a small town gym and I'm not going to doxx myself
Pros
>heated pool
>hot tub
>sauna
>free classes
>sometimes it's completely empty
>new machines
>not full of turbo chads
>open 24/7
>only $34 per month
Cons
>its really dirty
>hot tub smells funny
>small
>I have to go early in the day because it gets really busy from 6-7 PM
Ayy I go to 24 as well.
>gym on the way to work is kinda run down but still decent
>gym 20 minutes from my house the other way is brand new and worth the drive
I go to the new one on weekends only though because of rush hour traffic
