I've lost almost eighty pounds and yet I hate my body more than ever. I won't give up, but everything hurts.

I started the year at 121 pounds, according to a journal I kept, but not I'm weighing in at 128 and I can't find the 7 pounds on my body. I've been pinching all day to find it that I look like a self harm case.

No, and you really, really don't want to. Try for a 2-3 year plan to minimize loose skin, because going turbo with that weight will leave you a mess by the end of it.

just make it your goal and go for it, it's going to take time but it's better than just giving up and deciding to stay fat for the rest of your life.

i'm going through the same thing, i'm nearing my 2 year mark and i'm just shy of being in being in the healthy BMI range but it feels like it's taken so long and i've got a ton of loose skin and loose hanging moobs that are likely never going to go away. i've been so fucking out of it the last week or so that i put on like 5 lbs, i've basically just used my depression to go through with a metabolism reset.
going to stop being a bitch and get back to fixing things though.

Different user, my taste for sweets hasn't changed at all with my diet. I didn't care for regular soda or sugary things like milk chocolate or glazed pastries, but I still love sweet fruits, my favorite candies, homebaked cookies, etc.

I mean I still like my skittles but now a days it's all sugar to me. Only thing I find that isn't sugar rush would be cereal. It's nice and sweet but not to sugary.

I've been cutting 500cal a day for a year now, weighed in at my yearly checkup and im 40lbs less.
Feels good man, I should have lost 10~more but I cheated every now and end.

Doctor said I'm technically a healthy weight but my stomach fat is still there so I'm gonna try and lose that next.

Longterm caloric restriction can result in less calories being burned for about 5.8 calories per pound you've lost so far, but this is easily nixed with protein intake and lifting weights.

I mean yes your metabolic rate will drop in the sense that the more you cut the less you will weight so you need less calories for your TDEE and thus you have to account for that but it’s natural and a good thing. Starvation mode if that’s what you mean is a bunch of crap so ignore it and cut at a pace you want to lose weight faster or slower at.

realistically you should shoot for at least 1200 a day, more if you're above average height, or you do run the risk of health issues

What type of foods do you guys eat that are high in fiber? I feel like I'm constantly backed up. I was reading chia seeds are a good source of fiber but I'm not sure how to prepare them outside of making smoothies and I don't really need all that sugar.

Most vegetables are fairly high in fiber. If you’re increasing your fiber intake make sure you drink plenty of water too. Increased fiber without increased water just makes you more backed up.

imo its 100% OK to eat ~2k calories 1 or 2 days a week so long as your good every other day. It will slow down weight loss for sure but could potentially help mentally.

they used to serve breakfast in my school and every morning my teacher and i got into an argument because i refused to touch it. eventually she gave up, but man, people function differently. if i even look at food in the morning i feel physically sick, i have to wait at least a couple of hours.

Is there some kind of reputable bathroom scale out there? The one I got at my home and the one in my parents' home say two different weights, the one at my parents' saying I'm 15-20lbs heavier than the one at my place. Should i just believe that scale?

Why do you have to eat cake? You're not a child anymore, maybe just have a lovely (healthy) dinner somewhere instead. Make sure someone takes the leftover cake if there is any or throw it out if no one wants it.
do you eat a large dinner? do you eat close to the time of going to sleep? Dinner is usually the smallest meal for most people so maybe your meal timing is different.

No one did, I experienced it after losing 40 kgs, I lost it around 2 years ago and ever so slowly the loose skin tightened back up over the period of a year. I still had the slight overhang/pooch belly tho, I think that will take either a very very long time or require surgery. I gained about 10 kg after a holiday, and now i'm losing weight again i've lost 6 kilos or so, around a kilo a week (which might be why the loose skin is as bad as it is).
