Hello Jow Forums,
I am having jaw surgery in less than a month. Has any of you done this before? Is there any chance I can keep any of my gains on a 2-week liquid diet or will my mass just melt away?
I'm scared, hold me Jow Forums
Hello Jow Forums,

what kind of jaw surgery? There are different types
Also, whey shakes, smoothies, milk, soft boiled eggs, etc all to keep your gains
lower jaw surgery, pic related
Can you give more detail? Been seriously thinking about something similar, what's the procedure called? What's it involve? How much is it costing? Any other example photos?
how many mm will be pushed forward?
gomad and facepulls
I had braces for 4 years to straighten my teeth now my upper teeth and lower teeth don't touch since my lower jaw is receded, so they are gonna cut my jawbone and move my jaw a few mm forward. The procedure is called Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy or BSSO.
About half a cm as far as I remember
5mm aint worth it for the risks involved including relapse on its own, nerve damage, infection, bone damage etc etc. for 5mm you can just grow a beard or jutt the jaw on your own so your bottom and front teeth align
post before pic
Yes, i am sort of having second thoughts now. I was really self concious about myself 4 years ago when i took this decision, but now that i have straight teeth and a beard my weak jaw isbarely noticeable. Oh well, there is no turning back now anyways.
post a pic user, ill share my honest opinion
How much is the surgery? Also post pics
Jesus Christ, that's really fucking bad.
Goodluck, hope it goes well user.
I'm in the same boat as well. My ortho wants to do double jaw surgery to move my jaws forward, but I'm not self conscious about my jaw anymore. It's not that bad, and I'm already married so I'm not that concerned about looks. They also want me to do a 6 week liquid diet afterwards which sounds god awful. Any anons that have had this have any recommendations?
>tfw look a LOT like right pic except more white
pls rate
>mfw I actually want to do this surgery and I look exactly like the right pic, but white and with hair
made me feel better though
I think this is what happened to me. I’ve been consciously placing my lower jaw forward so the teeth are in proper resting position but I have to actively hold it.
I hope you chose a good surgeon. after your surgery your #1 goal should be recovery
I'm having my gyno removed on thursday. i chose a doctor with 3000+ gyno surgeries and very good ratings so i feel confident about my results
not OP but think about it twice
i have a recesed chin by a 2-3 mm at least its not noticeable by any means anyways but it just shows on my overbite nothing else
the advantage of this is that my fromt teeth dont touch, i do boxing and by having my molars touching and not my teeth its a big advantage because i get hit in my face without damage, my opponents worry about their teeth whereas idgaf because of my position they cant be broken
I had a chin implant. Way easier
Had the same as you (lower jaw only) 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Since it was lower jaw only there was not much trauma. I think all the swelling went away in the first week and I've been eating relatively softish foods now (can have chicken if it's in small pieces). My numbness went away after 1 day in most of my face except this large part on my left side of my chin. Most people only have feeling come back after much longer so your results may vary. The numbness I have may never go away but it literally doens't affect me at all so whatever. Most of it will probably come back as the nerve heals. My surgeon was also amazing and i could open my mouth quite wide even straight after I came out of surgery but this depends on each person who has it done really.
In pic related gonna need to use elastics to pull the teeth down and then I'll have braces off in about 6 months. My situation is that my lower front teeth we're falling forwards to match up with the top, but the angle was too extreme and I was told that I would lose the teeth by the time I turned 40.
Godspeed user just don't go to work or school for a week. I just browsed Jow Forums, Jow Forums and looked at crypto. Haven't been back to gym but was told that I can't do heavy lifting since it'll cause pain in the jaw muscles from clenching. I'll probably go back and do light stuff on tuesday but I think scientifically it takes a full 2 weeks for muscle atrophy to start but I should be okay. I lost around 2 kilos but I'm pretty sure that it was just fat from not eating 4-5 meals a day like I used to
Won't fix your teeth if theyre fucked up

You'll be fine anons, just stay strong during the recovery. I had top and bottom surgery and I lost 15-20 pounds during recovery so make sure you bulk up before.
I'm fucked. My mouth looks like left in the pic but my chin protrudes even further than the right. The must unaesthetic face in existence along with a deviated septum and thin lips. Just fuck my life up
holy fuck that nose
looks more like jew surgery
Thinking about doing something similar.
I don't have a bad case of it, but I do have a weak looking jawline. From the front I look okay but my profile isn't good. I look pretty normal, not like or these crazy "before" pictures on google, but it would definitely be an improvement on something I dislike about myself.
Are there less "extreme" alternatives for getting a better jawline / chin without snapping off the whole jaw and pushing it forward?
Even Africans are simply restructuring with guiding materials.
Inferior genes.
Must be destroyed.
I had jaw surgery on upper and lower jaw around 10 year ago.
I still have nerve damage, but I'm glad I did it.
As for your gains, you will lose a shit load. It's not just a 2 week liquid diet then you're back to normal. Even if you're eating properly again after that, getting surgery on your face is pretty major. You won't be back at full training capacity for some time. You'll realise how much you use your jaw, clenching etc, when lifting when you're no longer able.
Did you post on braincels using this pic? I think I recognize that skull
How much does it cost?
Yeah your kids will have shitjaw
They will not if he doesn't feed him shit food and teaches them proper oral posture.
