Recomp is generally for fat n00bs. Since you’re still basically a n00b it’s still feasible. Eat just below maintenance (say 200 below) lift heavy and eat plenty of protein

You need to add muscle dude. Eat protein and actually lift weights. Do that and you’ll probably look at least presentable when you cut down to 160. At least in your state recomp is feasible

I’ve recently realized I’m higher % than I thought after seeing cats with guys my height but muscular at significantly lighter weight. You should either eat at maintenance for a lean bulk or cut but if you bulk now you’ll end up in a bad place.

assuming a bmr of 1800, if you eat 2300, that's roughly a lb per week. Since it's february, you got some time.
How am I doing lads? Any guess on my current BF%? Calipers are pulling 9% but I know it's not that. Navy calculator has me at 11% which I think is actually more realistic. I'm really vascular in some areas, and other areas not at all, I suspect because of loose skin. The leftovers from being fat are making it tough to calculate.
