>Mfw 5 fishes, 12 prawns and 1 chicken have to suffer and die every day for me to put on some muscle mass so I can get a gf and reproduce to continue this cycle of misery

My roommate has a doe in the deep freeze.

Imagine your ethics and your soul being this fucked.

Sorry chickenbros, but I need your protein

MORE BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD
OTHERS MUST DIE FOR ME TO WIN

Once and a while I like to have a cheat day and eat chicken wings.

I chuckle when finishing the 50th wing and thinking about how 25 chickens died for my one meal

I'm more of a beef sort of guy.

I like to think about how all life is connected, in that every single living thing is just an alternate stragety for survival which forked from the rest, beginning all the way back form the first organic material that spawned in the primordial stew. Since then, whenever new conditions presented themselves, a new stragety was adopted by a select fragment of that organism, which eventually split into multiple organisms originating from the first. All segments were, in and of themselves, a part of the first, and thus all segments WERE the first. This cycle has continued for eons, but the same principle applies. All living things are just part of that same original organism, but each individual segment has over time split up into segments and adopted its own strategy, which may differ very little or a lot compared to another segment's strategy. This applies to us, the bugs, the trees, the animals, bacteria, viruses, we are all the same in that we are just perusing alternate strategies to achieve the same goal, sometimes working together with other strategies, sometimes in direct opposition, but always to the benefit of each other. We owe it to ourselves and every other segment of life to test each other's strategies, if we don't then we'll never know for sure which is the best, and thus we'll all be hindered in out quest for ultimate survival. Even if we make an animal extinct, all it means is that that strategy was insufficient, in reality it still lives on in us and every other living thing, as it always has and always will. Likewise, if we become extinct it means we didn't deserve our place at the forefront of life. As long as life continues, we will never die, because while one segment lives, so too does the whole. So I thank my little chicken counterpart, as he thanks me for allowing him to assist me to further propogate life into the future.
