Possibly? I'm also 6'6" with really broad shoulders, so people tend to not want to confront me. Also the stress of grad school has given me the ability to embrace death, so I'd like to see what would happen if I just told the mugger I was broke and that they should kill me.

I live in the tourist-y area of my city, my gym is 500 feet from my condo, and I go in my gym clothes without my wallet, so it's to much of a concern for me.

Depends on the state. In some states, you can shoot a mugger, and you'll usually get away with it if they're poor, black, on drugs, in a really shitty area, etc. In other states, unless you've ran away and been cornered or something like that, you'll go to jail because "you didn't do your best to escape the threatening situation"
