i'm a beginner trying to gain weight and strength. i'm building up from 137 lbs (5'12"). i also have a concave chest, and i'm curious if that should have any effect on my training or results. Do i need to be more careful with chest presses? Also, if i achieve hypertrophy, will my chest begin to look more normal, and muscular, or will my chest probably always appear sunken?
been lifting for 2 years with pectus excavatum and it kinda fixed it by puting muscles on the gap and fixing my posture. Stretching also helped
Joshua Morales
that's very encouraging to hear. did you ever feel like certain exercises were more difficult than they should have been?
Noah Bell
Not at all i'm just not that strong , what i did was clean bulks that made me go from 45kg to 82 (Too lazy to convert) without becoming a fat fuck, I think getting both pecs to look like each other is harder than actually covering the gap from PE

I'm in the same boat as OP, how do you mean by 'fixed'? That it's simply less noticeable?
Lincoln Butler
Mine was a mild Pectus and became unoticeable (almost, like you really have to look for it to see it)

Chest exercises will help only a little bit. I have pectus excavatum, your sunken chest appears deeper as your pecs get larger. Best solution is 40k$ surgery or cover you torso with tattoos.

Fingers crossed for myself.

does steeve reeves have it mildly or is it just me
I have this shit, 187cm 84kg looking like a dyel. I started going to gym as a 66kg skinny boy. This shit was very eye-catching. I can recommend swimming, it helped me a lot as a kid. In my case my left side of chest looks a little bit bigger, since right side of chest is sunken more. Muscles covered it a Little bit, but it is still visible. Strongest athlete walking on surface of earth, Jeff, recently made video on this with some good advices about gay chest. Anyway, covering this shit up boosted my confidence.
i have this and it makes my stomach look bigger than it is i dont care though im on permabulk i hope it will go away when im fat enough
Leo Butler
i mean like get covered, not go away in literal sense
Parker Hill
Yeah, kind of.

Depending on how bad you have it, the only real fix is surgery. I've gotten the surgery myself, can definitly recommend. but either way, you it shouldnt affect the you exercises you do.

There's a hole in my heart...

showing results for mild pectus ( bulking so big bf%) not pumped however
Dang bro you could have a god chest if you wanted to, big round pecs like that look good when filled just dont over do the lower pec development symmetry is key
