Is building your forearms important?

Is building your forearms important?
I've never put any effort into working that part of my arms as it feels like a waste of time and energy, starting to reconsider though.

You're only as strong as your weakest link.

There was a good post about it just yesterday and I've already fucking forgotten it. But the gist of it was that your forearm is complicated and you have to do different exercises to get all of it, not just bust out 30 wrist curls.

Never hurts to train when you've got nothing else to do.

>your forearm is complicated and you have to do different exercises to get all of it,

Climber here, can confirm.

in my experience incorporating direct forearm work will pretty much increase all pulling exercises and even your bench somewhat

your forearms are literally one of your most visible muscles

This?

Also this

Personally, I have got good ROI just doing three sets of farmers walks at the end of my pull day and crushing the bar on every exercise

This seems like the thread to ask. I play classical guitar, but this piece I'm learning is incredibly hard on my left hand because of how long I have to hold a bar and how much I have to move my fingers. What should I exercise to help?

Isometric

Farmers walks

Girls fucking love forearms, so if you are looking for mires do forearms

Trust you'll feel great when you notice a big forearm, and they grew the fastest when I started pull ups so enjoy

Oh and flexed arm hangs

Literally just do farmer walks

wouldn't you get better forearm gains by focusing on chinups

is it possible to do these with a barbell?

What's the farmers walk equivalent for calves? Forearms and calves are my hardest spots to grow

I don't know but cycling up hills made my calves massive, but I'm not the Jow Forums aesthetic.

My wrists click when I do reverse forearm curls. Is this a sign that I'm fucking up and about to snap my shit?

The farmer shuffle?

Just play more. Increasing your maximal strength isnt a very good way of improving your endurance.

Yeh that's what I did more. I'm just used to calling both pull ups

hang on a pull up bars with your fingers and there u go : big forearms

yes

I’ll sometimes do forearm isolation work but as has been said above, exercises you’re already doing to grow your traps are going to give your forearms a beating anyway. Farmers walk, behind the back barbell shrugs, rope pull downs, dips, high volume of bicep work, etc. My forearms have gotten pretty big from doing all of the above as an added benefit of training other muscles.

I'm strong as fuck, but my forearms are disgracefully small. Hit them with whatever you can think of, they aren't gonna grow without any direct work if you're not a manlet or a mesomorph.

My forearms always get sore when I fingerbang my gf and I have to stop....Should I isolate them?

deadlifts and 21s with SZ is good to me

>X here, can confirm
You stink of reddit

The process of moving big weight will grow them if you don’t let yourself use straps and other aids.

if you don't want twigs for hands yes

imagine the gigachad that gets to put his dick in this goddess

not that guy, but "can confirm" was a misc meme

Only a trap bar. I prefer dumbbells, my gym has them for up to 50 kilos.

Frequent misc lurker here, can confirm

Practice
Slowly

just go up and down your toes with weights

do farmer walks with wide grip

Instead of going retard heavy just use a wider grip if things get easier. No need to load your spine with hundreds of pounds you can easily lift only because the grip is a skinny as a pencil dick when you could use a fatgrip with less weight for better forearm gains.

Hanging on a bar would help as well, or just do pullups and chinups (i.e both pronation and supination), those will help.

You can dabble with hand crusher things as well but I would avoid wrist curls unless you want carpal tunnel problems 10 years from now.

based

Heavy, high rep calf raises with angled stances (toes netural, toes out, toes in, same volume for each), and weighted toe raises (good luck finding a way to weight them).

she's lesbian

this, it’s simple but great for calf gainz

SHAKEWEIGHT. yeah it looks goofy but it's great for toning forearm and upper arm.

PULL UPS BRAH

Wrist flexors, finger flexors, brachoalis

>crushing the bar on every exercise
Underrated imo. Broke my arm a few years back and that got my strength up to par faster than any of the prescribed PT
