Jocko or David Goggins?

Jocko or David Goggins?

>and why

jocko
goggins is just a self loathing masochist
jocko is a true role model

have you read jocko's books?

Jocko actually led troops in combat. Goggins just brags about what a badass he is for passing SEAL training.

>combat
lmao

Fat, pink faced suburban kids clad in high tech gear; supported by every military technology money can buy, going to some afghan mountain to shoot at literal shepherds.

True American heroes and role models for everyone.

no just listened to his podcast

jocko
>seal commander

goggins
>took three tries just to pass seal training

>Jocko

How do I get a head like this.

You have no fucking clue lol.

new england genes and train from child

t. crossfitter

It looks like it was carved out of stone.

Read any of the books reporting the wars of Iraq and Afghanistan, or watch the documentary ‘Restrepo’ if you aren’t academically inclined.

CrossFit boxes are literally full of wannabe spec ops

Hes right, modern military is a joke full of pathetic low iq dropouts

I really really wanted to like his book but it's way to "that time back in the army" followed by some weak corporate setting example. I'm sure he is a great guy but somebody should help him in writing.

leading troops doesn't make you automatically badass than everyone

>fighting for israel
>brave

lmao

Jocko because his head has a better shape.

shut up retard

Jocko, I'd roll with him at least.

Jocko.
I respect both but Goggins has done too much pushing through his injuries. He nearly died because of it.
Jocko knows how to hold the line every day without sacrificing other important things.
Jocko led navy seals in combat and helped turn Ramadi.
Goggins is still an inspiration to all with his story but he was misguided in the seals.

user, if you hadn’t realized restrepo was one of the most combat intensive fire bases in Afghanistan. Just because they don’t look like Arnold doesn’t mean they can’t out preform you. Thought to be honest it was an Airborne OP so they weren’t that physically fit compared to other units in the military

I have. It's difficult for someone who's never served in the armed forces to really dissect, interpret and apply what hes saying. His leadership books have helped me a ton in EMS. I've also read his kids books to my daughter and now shes a judoka. The takeaway from him is pretty simple though.

This is ironically true. I'm a tac medic for a major metropolitan area and most of the guys in a swat brigade are either athletes or functional fitness types. Unironically I'm the 2nd biggest guy in our unit but I'm more of a power builder.

>the side of war you fight in somehow determines whether you're the brave one or the cowardly
it doesn't work like that you egdy fedora

I'd rather shoot at sheperds along with israeli soldiers (even though it doesnt happen) rather than conform to the (((modern world)))

They say the same things in 2 different ways but are different. Both let you know motivation threads are crap. It's a very " just do it " attitude. Both tell you to work on yourself every single day. Jocko if you like BJJ and Goggins if you like to run and find the suck.

Imagine being this ignorant
