Feast on the power of Yoga!
What's the benefit of yoga compared to specific stretching?
How about you feast on these nuts ha goteem
to categorize yoga as only stretching removes a huge portion of types of yoga. such as power or balance or energy, but stretching i'd do a relaxation or flexibility sesh. The benefit of flexibility is that it opens your mind more with better posture, by requiring less muscle tissue to move, less power is consumed. more power is reserved and used more efficiently used.
Target stretching only hits that area and the areas connected to it. Personally not a fan of target stretching for that reason. I'd rather put my hand in a neutral position to let it sync back into a neutral spot for 5 mins rather than any prescribed routine. this relaxtion allows you to feel out what's going on with the body.
check out kamasutra
What do you think about DDP yoga? I've been doing it between rest sets, and find it very positive!
>DDP yoga
looks really fun, the first thing i noticed is that hand symbol. It's an unconventional mudra(hand placement) which touches both thumb and pointer of both hands.
watching their beginner preview its pretty good. Usually 2-5 sun salutations is what normally warms you up, but i like that it focuses on the breath. Personally I like holding it for more than 2 counts, more like 8 and reach to 15 when you 'get gud' lol. It's got some fun movements, that diamond cutter into get strong is pretty catchy lol.
all in all it's a nice workout
Yoga is dope and really helps my creaky joints. Don't be too cool to get a stretch my dudes.
I was in yoga. too much bullshit about magic powers and breathing.
develop a good stretching routine and forget about chackras and hippie shit.
a lot of yoga has nothing to do with the hippie stuff. But it does exist :], and the girls are HOT!
you sound like such a fag
can you give me a progression chart like calisthenics has
or some aide to help me develop good flexibility?
i am extremely inflexible on my whole body and i want to be able to do shit like those arching bridges and that kung fu jump that goes from lying on your back to standing up
and i want to be able to bend my back so much i can touch my toes and put my legs behind my head and shit
please help me yoga sensei
You sound tense my dude.
Mindfulness and flow
If you’re an an NPC like one of the guys who replied to you moaning about breathing then just stretch and never know your mind
right now im so inflexible that i get severe pain when i try and put my right hand on my left shoulder or put my right hand on my spine
yogabro, I want a program that focuses on low back and legs
Thoughts on hot yoga? My gym has a heated yoga studio and the dial can go to 110 but rarely do the instructors make use of it. Recently they added a class where I can expect the temp to be set at at least 85 but some of the instructors of the none heated classes do that anyway. Should I bother with asking for a warmer class? Is there even a point to any of this?
I know a homeless guy that has a dog that color, his name is Wilson and he's a good boy

uhhhhh what? this sounds like an internal injury from lack of general strength, do you have any strength training? if you don't then you kinda need to build that a bit. The body needs to fight and you need to give it strength, as much as it hates it. if you do, then just do a basic beginner to intermediate yoga progression. i'd get the yoga studio app and when it asks to purchase, click restore in the top right and it'll let you do all the normal stuff, so beginner intermediate advanced stuff. spend 2-3 months on beginner then work on intermediate for a month then back to beginner for a month then intermediate for 2-3. or do as many sun salutations as you can. they hit all the basics of strength flex and balance. I heard that super old yogis, like 80+ only do sun salutations.
I don't have a chart for you, but i can have one later, or another day.
All flexibility can be achieved without straining the muscle at all. Flexibility is like organizing all the muscles strands into fine lines. kinda like how women straighten their hair. The goal for you should be flexibility in your entire body, so don't work on spot stuff like the in the top pics of . flexibility in the shoulder means flexibility in the chest in the abs in the back in the abs. everythings connects so you may feel pain in the shoulder, but the inflexibilty can come from the bottom of your feet. I'd get a foam/wood roller($5-20) and a lacrosse ball($1-3)
for such lack of flexibility you might wanna do it with a chair or something. I personally never use any blocks or stuff, but i do do the simplest version of the move i can think of. like if it asks upward dog i do sphynx. do modifications in pic, don't be a hero user.
the moaning is to warm up your voice for the day user. it's so you don't sound like a pussy to other men and women :]. you can make every sound with ah oo an mm, combined it makes aum or 'ohm'. ah men.
he flexes his brain with his toes bro
yoga senpai can you give some program that helps with upper body mobility aside from the yoga/relaxing part?
nice pseudoscience
yoga sounds nice and all, I'm sure it's relaxing and most people could could do with improving their mobility, but all that stuff you said about "opening your mind with better posture" what does that mean? and that less muscle tissue is used to move, where are you getting these "facts"
its not psuedoscience you dumbfuck
"power" or "balance" or "energy" are just unsophisticated articulations as to what different types of yoga are able to do depending on the practice, which is usually some form of meditation or, as the name implies, balance practice
both of which have been medically verified
What about pilates?

How do I become a yogi and fuck western white women? Do I just have to stretch all day? I am already shitskin btw
Whose stand is this?
start in mountain breath for about 1 min then do 2-3 sun salutations for a quick warmup. mountain -> plank -> downward dog -> plank -> 1 legged downward dog -> sphynx -> downward dog -> cobra -> flip over on back lay for like 20-30 seconds -> fish pose -> corpse -> sleep and throw in eagle pose whenever.
you can say it's psuedoscience, and most of yoga's history is from word of mouth, but as has said, it slowly becoming tested through todays scientific method.
hmm, when you do it for like 30 days straight, you'll feel your muscles straighten and you'll stand in a proper posture, either from standing in mountain or laying on ground. Opening your mind through fitness, one way to think of it is your spine is a giant electrical wire. if you bend the wires then you increase the resistance(friction) on the spinal highway. A simple way to view that is slower bodily response times to movements or thought to action. another way is imagine your in a slumped position. and lets says your back muscles are being pulled and in tern flex passively for you to maintain the slumping. then lets say it takes 50% of your total energy to power those back muscle. well then 50% of your remaining energy is now used for everything else. if you stand in a straight position no energy is required to tight muscles to maintain the architecture(if you've attained flexibility), it just sits. now 100% power is left for whatever. i could do cpu theory if you want, but you'd have to have a rudimentary understanding of cpu architecture and cross-talk phenomena :}.
You may not feel the slumped thing if you're under 25
i don't do pilates :[
western women want attention and validation. so you gotta get strong looking muscles(train for big/un-functional muscles) and wear nice clothes ($30-40 per item ~$100 for an outfit). shits not worth user, just get a funny smart girl.
I wouldn't waste my time, user.
Jow Forums has proven being filled to the brim with NPCs time and time again.
thank you very much senpai
what stretches can help if i want to suck my own dick?
harsh user, harsh
np buddy, please come again.
it's a lot of back/hip/leg flexibility. working toward a shoulder stand and practicing hip openers should do the trick :]. wide childs pose 2mins -> kneeling pose with like a rolled towel between your hamstring and calf 2mins -> lowest squat you can hold for 2 mins -> rest in corpse 2 mins -> forward bend 2 mins -> plow pose 1 min -> egg pose 1 min -> fish pose 30 sec -> happy baby 5 MINS -> corpse. that should get you there in a week if you do it every day.
for best result finish your practice in corpse pose for 11 mins.
On day 5 of yoga with Adrienne. Very cool. Don't want to shell out the cash to attend a yoga studio.
Been doing yoga with @specialomperator on Instagram since he started his Taskforce yoga series. Now I've started going to my gyms classes on top of doing some Vinyasas at home post workout. It's great, high recommend it to anyone with mobility, stress, flexibility issues etc.
Thank you Yogi what does the foam/roller do?
When I try to stretch and touch my toes pain shoots up and down my legs everywhere
Sometimes when I'm walking I pull a muscle in my middle back and it cramps for a while week and I can't look down or lye down on my bed or sit in a chair without cramping pain.
>looks really fun, the first thing i noticed is that hand symbol. It's an unconventional mudra(hand placement) which touches both thumb and pointer of both hands.
user, it's the hand symbol made famous by DDP because he'd do that in the ring.. Because it looks like a diamond, and he is Diamond Dallas Page. There's nothing mystic about it.
>Thank you Yogi what does the foam/roller do?
Foam rollers help massage tendons that are overly tight.
