Goto any gym right now, you will see pretty much 100% of people doing a bro-split, and 99% of them look like shit, and the 1% who dont are on steroids.

I started a PPL routine last week, do you know much about this routine or other ones you would recommend?

Ask yourself why you do PPL, do you want to look like a bodybuilder? Even if you're willing to take the more harmful steroids, you need to take some kind of steroid, at least get on 500mg/testosterone per week is a very good start, you could even just use only testosterone and nothing else and you will be able to do a bro-split or PPL and get the look you want.

You will NOT get the "bodybuilder" look without steroids, it doesn't matter how big you get, or how lean you get, there is a certain "LOOK" that steroids give the human body, which just cannot be replicated naturally, no matter how you train, that is a 100% fact of life, it's not just an opinion.

But if you're just trying to look Jow Forums and 100% don't want to use steroids, you should just do a full-body routine, every other day, or 3-4 times per week. Every lifting session you do will have (1) Pressing Compound lift, (1) Lower-body compoind lift, and (1) Pulling Compound lift. Example being, Bench/Front-Squat/Chin-Ups. Another example being Press/Deadlifts/Pull-Ups. Another example being Dips/Squats/Rows. You can do do 1-2 isolations after the 3 main compounds, but keep the isolations easy and simple, like some Curls, or some Abdominal isolation, or some Face-Pulls. You wont get the "bodybuilder" look to your body by doing this, but you wont get the "bodybuilder" look to your body lifting 5-6 days a week on a brosplit/PPL either while being natural, so you might aswell train properly as a natural and at least look fit, and have good strength and performance, as opposed to just looking fit, and lifting all week doing isolations on a brosplit just to never get the bodybuilder look you want in the end.

Well for starters, you have to come across as the alpha male.

Frequency, Volume, Progressive Overload, Compound Lifts, Routine, Macros, Calories....

All these things are irrelevant if your goal is to looking like a bodybuilder, because you can't look like a Bodybuilder without steroids, it is as simple as that.

You can min-max your routine, your volume, your progressive overload, your calories, your macros, your frequency, your volume, your sleep, your recovery, your everything, you can do ALL of that, yes, sure, but if you are not using steroids, YOU WILL NEVER LOOK ANYTHING LIKE A FUCKING BODYBUILDER.


The fact of the matter is unless you're willing to get on steroids, there is no point in doing anything other than a Full Body routine as a natural lifter, because you just wont get that the "LOOK" you're going for on a PPL, because that "LOOK" is purely 100% obtained only from being on steroids, simple, end of fucking story, and I'm peaceing out of this shitty thread, you can choose to dig your head in the sand and lift 6 days a week on your PPL routine, and enjoy looking NOTHING like you want to look like, because you're a fucking natty moron who thinks he knows everything and that you can mimic the effects of looking like you're on 3-4 different drugs, while natty, by just training/eating in a certain way.

I've realized that myself, did a brosplit for almost two years and had a lot of fun doing it. It was something that kept me busy every day and relieved stress. First thing I realized was that the majority of people that were "big" were all on steroids, and had professional help as well. Didn't really stop me though, got big into cardio as well and was doing a 5k every day with some nice abs. I was lean but now I'm trying to get big, just doing two minutes on a stairmaster between every exercise to keep my heart rate up. I honestly have respect for that whole "bloatmaxx" thing that people meme about, but could never see myself getting that big. I'm a roofer and my job is too active to be that big and eating that much, I don't get a bathroom break besides pissing on an AC unit for ten-twelve hours a day lol.

There's no look you're going for with PPL vs full body. And I guarantee you my natty quads are better than most peoples roided quads.

If you can do upper body and legs on the same day you're not training your legs hard enough.

I have been going to the gym 5 to 6 days a week for the last 3.5 years without any break and I have been doing what would be considered a body part split (apart from the first 6 months where I did a full body routine) and I can say for sure this guy is telling the honest truth.
