Osteoporosis

Have seen the shilled carbs and sugar do harm, have seen the demonization of fat, have seen the benefits of fasting, have seen diseases unknown in the past being a modern plague and noone form the medical establisment talking about that.
So all this stuff has made me conspirational-minded about modern disease and nutrition.
So osteoporosis, whats the real redpill on that?

We should be eating bones

Are bones edible?

Haven't you been gnawing on Judas' for quite some time?

>So osteoporosis, whats the real redpill on that?
It mostly affects older women and cyclists later on in life. Constant load applied to bone makes it more sense. It's called Wolff's Law. Weight lifting and a decent diet will unironically prevent it.

Vitamin d3

Bone marrow

Constant load makes bones more dense*

What diet?

no answers, only questions
a: only whites drink milk into adulthood
b: only whites get osteoporosis

A balanced one. Wtf nigger. You're probably in your twenties. This is an old woman's issue.

Drink milk, lift weights, and run occasionally. You literally do not have to worry about this.

Aint asking for myself, but for my mother

>tfw when you trust /pol more than doctors for medical issues

Where is this world going

eh....me m-meant /fit

If she's in an age where she's close to menopausia, she should make sure to take calcium and maybe supplement with Zinc or other minerals that start being necessary at that age.
Exercise also helps wonders, as well as keeping a healthy weight as to not overload the bones and articulations.

70+, just worrying about falls. btw, she eats a really small quantity of carbs, vegs and milk.
Still she has elevated triglycerides, LDL, and low Vitamin D and Parathormone

High parathormone*

Sauce on weightlifting preventing it? Also does that mean that denser bones wouldnt grow as much? Cant find info

Literally look up Wolff's Law. There's a corollary for flesh as well. Forget the name. It's why a leg kick from a UFC fighter would snap your tibia, but theirs are fine during a fight. Repeated stresses harden the bone.

Falls are dangerous! To prevent them make sure she's always wearing the appropiate shoes, and that her furniture isn't too high or too low - it makes it difficult to sit down or get up.
Also, she should be careful in the shower, maybe get those adhesives to prevent slipping.
I would reccomend to her walking and maybe yoga, works wonders for balance.
I'm not sure that at 70 she would be willing to do a high rep low volume routine at the gym, to strengthen her body.

fun fact: there is a whole spergout in the SS book about how lifting prevents osteoporosis, check out rippetoe's take

Thanks

It prevents it in different ways, but keep in mind that gaining muscle mass will work as protection in case of impact, since osteoporothic bones are more frail.

Sugar is very bad for you. You can get plenty of sugar through fruit. Anything else is only doing harm. I think this fad of demonizing carbs is really dumb though. You body needs carbs along with protein to recover from exercise. I believe about 40% of your diet should be carbs.
Just stay active. Some form of cardio (running for me) and lifting weights, so your not weak and senile when you're old. If you are really worried about this for whatever reason, research bone marrow cleansing. It's a Qi Gong training method that the shaolin monks do.

Lack of vital minerals in the soil, too much calcium, being sedentary and not pushing themselves.

That's what's causing it.
