At a plate in a half for reps, I lift by myself so I don't like to push for a one rep max.

I'm a 6'0" lanklet though. I only weigh 180lbs. I could lift heavier but i'd have to bulk hard and probably use a powerlifting program, but thats not necessarily the route i want to take.

In a year of going to my gym I’ve seen one dude bench press 2pl8. Literally just one.

Is it just not as popular as it used to be?

Bench takes time to develop. Also if you break from lifting for any period of time, you tend to dwindle off with that chest strength first (in my experience).

Yup. I tried that for over the better part of a year. Sure, porn isn't healthy, but there was zero noticeable improvement in health on no-fap versus on-fap.

I benched 225 for 2 a few weeks back, I was kinda disappointed at how easy it was, I guess that's what heppens when you never try to gauge your 1 rep max

Nowhere near close to it, barely manage 68 kilos for reps.

Do more tricep accessory work. I used to be in a similar situation. Now my OHP is 70kg for 2 with a 100kg bench.

My best is 242(110) paused, but I've been doing reps for ages and haven't gone over 185 lately so...

Roll of shame works quite well for me. Although it's a shame when normals see me fail the rep, and think I'm weak instead of indulging in maxing out themselves for continued progress.

i dont do regular bench, but i do incline with 100lb dumbbells. I would imagine doing flat bench with 225 and a bar would be relatively easy

6ft so not quite lanklet territory, but yeah I've assumed that was the problem. My manlet lifting buddy (5'6 or something similar) absolutely wrecks me on OHP but can't deadlift or bench for shit

I do dead bench only and hit 2 plates for reps. 76kg 5ft6 been training for 2 years - 1 yr doing compounds. Bench is my hardest lift to progress on - I hit 1 pl8 OHP at an 80kg bench
